Dr. Frame is the best! My crown had fallen off and I needed to have the remaining tooth extracted. I told Dr. Frame that I was very nervous and he put me at ease and quickly completed the extraction. He even followed up that evening with a phone call just to see how I was feeling! I have never had a Dr.
do that! I appreciate Dr. Frames skill and compassion and highly recommend him.

I searched Unilocal for a dentist because i was in pain. Molar. i called in on Tues, and was seen Weds.
Dr. Frame office accomodated me quickly.
I went in and the office was amazing looking. The front desk was efficient and friendly. I filled out my info on an ipad. Totally easy. Dr. Frame assisting nurse was great. Dr himself was pleasant and reassuring. I hadnt been to a dentist in 3yrs. I had the molar extracted. Totally painless. The nurse gave me instructions on aftercare and front desk set my followup. i dont know about pricing because when you’re in pain, there is no price for help.
i have found a wonderful dental office. My family will be joining me at this office. Im a Santa Clara native born and bred and recommend anyone from the area to put ur dental needs in Dr. Frame’s care.

I found out about Dr. Alan Frame through a Groupon promotion almost 4 years ago. A friend of mine at Stanford Law School knew how badly I needed invisaligns, and told me about the coupon. I was very skeptical at first, thinking I might get the shorter end of the stick if I don’t pay in full for such an important and sensitive, and perhaps lengthy, dental procedure. Well, I was proven wrong very fast. Let me break it down for you point by point:
1– I was pleasantly surprised by Dr. Frame’s sunny, happy, respectful, and gentle attitude. He makes you feel at home, treats you like a friend, and explains the procedure so the patient can make a decision with full and complete knowledge. Most importantly, the man is honest and has high integrity. He didn’t charge me a single dime even when my treatment went on longer than anticipated. As a law student, money was always an issue — and Dr. Frame never added to my financial anxieties.
2– His office staff and other dental professionals are just lovely. Did I say lovely? Let me be clear: they are amazingly lovely. They are very responsive to emails, calls, and canceled appointments. I travel a lot now for work –I have since graduated from law school – and the office has been very accommodating to my abusive schedule. Not only that, they go out of their way to get me what I need even if I am on the other side of the country. I have dealt with Julie and many others directly (so sorry but I forgot their names but all the ladies there are just wonderful) and cannot thank them enough for making my teeth straight, pretty, and white!
That’s why I still get on a plane and go to Dr. Frame’s office for ALL my dental needs no matter how far away from Santa Clara I live.

We got hit with a huge bill from this office. We were assured that the deep cleaning would be authorized by insurance and went ahead and did it. It was not authorized because their UR panel felt it was unnecessary. My teeth are very hot/​cold sensitive now after the procedure and we had to pay the huge bill. If you come here, do not have big procedures done until you have talked to your insurance to make sure they will pay for it! Don’t take the staff’s word for it that it’s a sure thing to be covered, that was my mistake.

I went to Dr Frame’s office hoping to make them my new dentist. Everyone there was super friendly. I had some work done by Dr Dave, the monthly periodontist. He did a great job. One thing that I didn’t like about the office is that my insurance wasn’t accepted there. I was really upset that I wasn’t told in advance about my insurance. I was really hoping to see Dr Frame. I do appreciate everything that they did for me, but would’ve liked to know if my insurance was accepted there. Hopefully I do find a dentist that takes my insurance that is as friendly as everyone in that office.

I believe I’ve found the best dentist in Santa Clara, if not the whole country. Dr. Frame really treats me like a family and I’ve never felt any anxiety going to the office, even when I was scheduled for a root canal. He has a gentle hand and cares about the patients’ comfort and safety.

I can wholeheartedly say that Dr. Frame is the best dentist in the Bay Area. By ‘best’, I mean the most professional, skilled, warm, friendly, and personable dentist I have met!
For some background info, I am a poor student who has been depending on fleeting deals to get reduced-​priced teeth cleanings and dental services, so I have been to a number of different private dental clinics in the past and have a lot of «data points» to compare Dr. Frame to. He is extraordinary in many ways, and certainly exceeds expectations with his quality service.
Below are a few of Dr. Frame’s qualities that I feel really stand out.
His counseling abilities are superb. It is second nature for him to educate the patient, as he often voices his actions in plain language as he is working on the patient’s dentition. This, to me, is a new experience but very valuable and important because I get to know exactly what he is doing, alleviating any sense of fear or uncertainty.
Dr. Frame also demonstrates genuine care for the patient, spending as much time as needed with each patient. As a patient who asks a lot of questions, I am happy that he displays interest in my well-​being and always answers all my questions with patience. I never feel rushed, and I never feel as if I had asked a stupid question (which I frequently feel when I interact with other specialized professionals).
Very. Gentle. Hands. As a coward who has a ridiculously low tolerance for pain (especially pain in my gums and teeth) I found Dr. Frame to be extremely careful, precise, and gentle during all procedures.
Lastly, this dentist is also highly personable and friendly, and always seems to be in a very positive mood. His great attitude in general is very refreshing!
And of course, the usual stuff…

…must I repeat that Dr. Frame’s practice is highly recommended?

I learned about Dr Frame from my BFF who had been a patient of Dr Weiner before he retired and Dr Frame took over. I had been a long time patient of a Dr in Mt View but was tired of driving there from SJ.
From the very first time I met Dr Frame I knew I had found my new dentist. His staff is wonderful, the office is comfortable and he is up on all the latest procedures. If you’re looking for a new dentist, please give him a call. Parking is easy either on the street or in the building parking lot in the rear.

My husband and I have been patients since 2004. In 2005 my husband fell off a ladder on a Saturday afternoon and broke his teeth, cut his lip and broke his elbow. We called Dr. Frame and the guy rushed to meet us at his office like he was an ER doctor. It was AMAZING. He fixed him up with temporary crowns AND stitched his lip. (Yes, we then proceeded to the ER)
This kind of dedication is hard to come by these days. Seriously, I’m sad to see some of the character attacks in a couple of reviews). Dr. Frame didn’t even charge us a special fee for the emergency. We would have paid double! On top of that, Julie arrived and provided moral support as well dental assisting. I remember her saying she had left a soccer game she was coaching to come and help my husband– but was totally present in the moment. Very selfless.
I guess you could say we’re loyal ‘lifers’ Do some of the other employees seem to roll with a different philosophy at times? Sure. Show me a place that doesn’t have a couple of weak links with staff. These things have a way of working themselves out.
I always receive excellent care.

I have been going to Dr. Frame since 2008 and have nothing but great experiences. Let’s face it… nobody likes going to the dentist but when you do need to go you want to go to a place you feel comfortable. The office is clean, the staff is friendly and Dr. Frame is a great dentist!

I’m incredibly impressed by how professional, efficient, and caring Dr. Frame and his staff are!
I am a college student and recently had a problem with severe pain around a filling my regular dentist had done for me — being originally from SoCal, I couldn’t see my primary dentist and needed to find someone local, and quickly. After several failed calls to different local dentists, I found Dr. Frame’s practice and called about an urgent same-​day appointment. The staff are incredibly helpful and understanding. Julie could tell I was in a lot of pain and found a time slot between two appointments when I could be seen — she also told me their website offers electronic registration for new patients to complete beforehand, which saved me a lot of time when I arrived.
Dr. Frame was very friendly, explained the possible causes and treatments for me clearly and simply, and did what he could to fix/​reshape my filling very quickly. I’m already feeling much better, and was in and out of his office in under a half hour! I’m glad to have found such a caring and efficient practice so close to campus. I’ll definitely be returning for future treatment while I live in the area, and recommending his services to other out-​of-​town students I know looking for local healthcare options.

Dr. Frame and his staff have taken good care of my teeth since 2003 (both general dentistry and Invisalign). They treat me like a person, not just a patient, and I’m happy to recommend them.

Two friends recommended Dr. Frame to me, and by far he is the best dentist I have ever experienced. He is friendly, funny, caring, and professional — plus, he plays the XM 80s station in his office. I appreciate the musical distraction!
He patiently explains the procedure he is about to perform, and doesn’t make you feel like a pussy when you express concern about potential pain.
He has performed routine exams, filled cavities, and replaced a crown for me. During every visit I felt calm and comfortable.
The office staff is friendly and helpful as well. My employer had this weird reimbursement thing versus regular dental insurance, and the office staff were great about completing the forms I needed to file for reimbursement.
Although I recently moved to SoCal, I would seriously consider flying up to see Dr. Frame if I had a major dental crisis. He’s that good.

Dr. Frame is a great dentist. I had not been to the dentist in 5 years! I had a huge crown to place and 2 cavities to be filled. He and his staff were very accommodating with my appointments and he put me at ease with all the work I had to have done. I highly recommend Dr. Frame and his great staff.

Dr. Frame has been my dentist for over five years, now! I couldn’t be more pleased with the service I receive.
Dr. Frame is extremely capable and very friendly. I always enjoy talking with him. When I see him, I always think of his trip to Alaska a few summers ago. He and his staff always put me at ease.
The staff is very friendly and extremely competent. Julie and Wendy are at the front desk and are always friendly and efficient. Julie has helped me out several times by wadding through the Dental Insurance Bureaucracy. Making the next appointment is a snap.
My Hygienist, Chantelle, always has sometime interesting to say and she does an excellent job. She is always making sure that everything is OK with me while she is cleaning my teeth. Over the years at Dr. Frame’s Office, other hygienists have cleaned my teeth and they have been very nice and extremely competent and gentle.
The office is very modern in every way. Within a year they have remodeled the office and it was very well done. The computer system is State-​of-​the-​Art. A chart of the patient’s teeth is displayed on a computer screen right next to the dental chair. In addition to relax the patient, music compact disks and DVD may be played on the computer screen.

I’ve been a loyal patient of Dr. Frame since he has had the practice. (I go all the way back to Dr. Weiner) Unfortunately, my wife and I decided to stop going to Dr. Frame recently.
Dr. Frame is a good, friendly dentist. I’ve had several fillings and my wife has had a couple crowns put in. Everything went smoothly and was painless.
The dental hygenists are great. My experience with all of them has been excellent.
I cannot say anything better about the service that was provided.
However, the problem arose when my insurance wouldn’t pay for the crowns put in by Dr. Frame. Dr. Frame had told my wife that they were necessary, while the insurance company maintained that they were not (and of course changed us for them) My wife and I spent over a year going back a forth between the insurance company and Dr. Frame’s office. The office manager/​receptionist was not cooperative when we requested xrays to be sent to the insurance company as proof. We had to ask several times before action occurred. Ultimately, after the insurance company turned us down and we lost our appeal to the state, we asked Dr. Frame to split the amount that was unpaid by the insurance. We felt that he made a bad recommendation and should recognize this by sharing the cost. The office manager/​recpetionist would not even consider such a thing. Additionally, she didn’t seem to care about our future patronage (or lack thereor) at the practice. I doubt if Dr. Frame even heard our request because the office manager/​receptionist was so unaccommodating. So, we paid the outstanding $ 650 and are now searching for a new dentist.
I think the front office and Dr. Frame’s practice has lost sight of who the customer is. Additionally, in this day and age, how a doctor/​dentist deals with insurance companies is very important.
Sadly, I am giving the overall practice a rating of 2.

Awesome dentist. I just had a 20 year old filling replaced today. The old filling was an old yellow blob. The new filling is almost invisible as it is tooth colored and molded into the natural shape of the tooth.
More importantly, Dr. Frame seems to have very good bed side manner. During my filling, he constantly checked to make sure that I was ok. Also, he updated me every few minutes on what was going on during the procedure. He even took a break in the middle of the procedure to let me rest my mouth.
In summary, I received very good treatment and felt comfortable during the process.
