First time and I’m looking forward to going again I did my appointment with Durga and I have to say she’s really gentle and takes her time, really focuses on what shes doing. As a first timer your always edgy about even trying a new place but overall experience was great.

My eyebrows look AMAZING! I’ve been waxing my eyebrows previously, but I decided to go back to threading because my hairs grow back rather quick after I get them waxed. The place I used to get threaded at closed down, so I was on the hunt via Unilocal to find a trustworthy salon to get them done at. Believe me when I tell you — I had to read a LOT of recent reviews from this place before coming because I am extremely cautious and picky to getting my eyebrows done by any place new. After countless searches, I stumbled upon here and decided to check it out myself after work since I was nearby. The store looks extremely professional and clean. There was a lady at the head desk who told me to sign my name down (which I did) and I got seated right away. I totally forgot to get her name for the person who threaded my eyebrows, but I surely hope she’ll be there the next time I come back. The 3 ladies who were working when I arrived were extremely friendly and welcoming, too! She asked my input on what I wanted, and I told her to clean them up, reshape to make it even (since my dumb self plucked my brows and made it uneven), and to not make my eyebrows too thin (this is probably the most important thing haha!) The whole process flew by ~20 minutes and less for sure. I loved that she would stop frequently and let me look at the mirror so I can give her my input on the progress. I also noticed that when she left her cotton thread on the desk and had the head desk lady come over to check my eyebrows out, when the head desk lady told her to thread a few more hairs from a part of my eyebrow, she didn’t grab the thread on the desk but rather a new cotton thread (talk about extremely sanitary!). She trimmed my eyebrows and rubbed some aloe over after it was done which felt soooo good! My eyebrows were literally like trash before this, and now I’m so in love with my results! I live on the complete opposite side (south San Jose), but I would make the drive out here to get my eyebrows done whenever I need to! You’ll definitely see me as a regular customer here.

My eyebrows look great! You can book appointments online! I booked an eyebrow and upper lip appointment with Durga, the reservation is made and then you have to wait for the salon to approve it. I booked at 7p Wednesday and it was approved by Thursday for a Friday appointment.
I showed up 10minutes early and they sat me down right away. I didn’t give her much direction, I just asked her to clean them up and leave them as thick as possible, she pointed out that I had a gap somewhere and I said yup I see it.
She was soft spoken and really took her time, she didn’t show me the progress throughout and while that made me a little nervous I didn’t say anything. This was the least painful threading experience I’ve had and I’ve been threading my brows for more than 10yrs! At times it even tickled! When she unveiled the results I was so happy!
I paid cash and they gave me back nothing but ones which was perfect for tipping.
I’m definitely coming back and telling everyone I know about this place!

I’ve been to this salon a few times and each time I’ve had a good experience, but today was a diff story. I had an appt (with Rekha) but was running late so tried to call the salon and no one would answer. I finally came in 30 mins after my scheduled appt and saw only 1 lady threading so thought she was the only one for the afternoon, so I didn’t bother to ask if Rekha was available. Another lady came and took the person waiting before me and so the lady I saw threading ended up taking me.
She asks me if I want her to go fast or slow. So I say, go fast just to get it over with. I mean, its threading, its not an enjoyable moment. Okay fast. And here she goes. (pluck, pluck, pluck). using a thread but was literally PLUCKING each and every hair, very, very, VERY, slowly. Ho-​ly-​F. What the hell is slow then if THAT was her fast?! She kept missing spots too so I had to ask her 4 times to fix the same spots. This is the LONGEST i’ve ever spent at a threading salon: 45 mins. I was in the chair for about 40 of those mins.
As soon as it was over, I had to pay of course, and I get her name so I know who NOT to get next time, or basically, ask for anyone BUT her. The other lady there took about 3, maybe 4 customers in the time I was there. WTF.
Also, she ran my card twice but the first time, I don’t think anything went thru cuz she couldn’t figure out the machine. In any case, may be good to check my bank statement.
PS — she cut the corner of my lip as I was bleeding in the chair and she didn’t seem to care. Even dabbed it with my finger in front of her and she didn’t bother.

I’ve been here twice already for threading-​eyebrow shaping and I’ve loved how Durga has shaped my eyebrows. She takes her time and checks in to make sure I am content with how my eyebrows are coming along. I will continue to come here and recommend Durga.

Durga did an excellent job with my eyebrows. I love that she does them fast so it doesn’t hurt & shaped them beautifully. She definetly listened to what I wanted, therefore I will only go back to see her again! This is now the only place I trust with my eyebrows.

Got my eyebrows and upper lip done for the second time with Rekha! She’s extremely patient and listens to exactly what you want! Without me saying anything she noticed little flaws that she corrected herself. They also offer aloe Vera after the threading is done which is a really nice touch. Very satisfied and will def be coming back here! This is the place to go in the Bay Area!

Durga was awesome and gave me exactly what I wanted! I was able to make an appt online super easily and when I got there parked right in front. I was in and out in 15 min and it cost $ 15 for upper lip and brow. She did exactly what I asked for and I was so surprised by how painless it was on my brows, lip hurt a bit more. Also, it’s been a few hours and I have no red or sensitive spots! Thanks Durga, I’ll be back!

This is my go-​to place for threading. Everyone who works here knows what they are doing!
I am always skeptical to visit & try new threading places as I have had bad experience in the past. But I was luck to find Aarna Salon in the Santa Clara area when I moved here from NC. I usually try to get an appointment but walk ins are welcome too.
I haven’t really tried any other services here but the place is neat & clean. As well as everyone is properly trained.

Don’t know why I haven’t come here sooner! I’ve seen great reviews, but guess I was hesitant since threading places have always been a hit or miss for me.
Booking an appointment was so easy with their online system. A couple of clicks and I was able to schedule an appointment for the same day later in the afternoon. I saw Unilocalers raving about Ritu so I decided to give her a try and was not disappointed!
I sat down and explained to her that the last place I went to didn’t do such a good job and I wanted to get my brows evened out. She made some recommendations and told me what she can do to even my brows out. Within ten minutes I was done and the end result was perfect!

I cannot rave and rant enough about this place! Pooja is AMAZING! i have been to other threading places, but this one is amazing. I know it is all based on the staff, but this one has not disappointed me yet! they are quick… and efficient! what i love about them is that they are always busy but the wait isnt more than a few minutes!!! :)
I highly recommend them!!! they are just great!

Still my favorite place to go for eyebrows. I love love this place. One time, Ritu (the owner) was with another customer and recommended that I’d love Rekha’s work too… And she was right! I’ve come back to have Rekha thread my brows ever since.
But Rekha has been out for maternity leave, so Durga was the one to thread my eyebrows this time. Ritu said «you’ll love her,» again, and she was right, again.
I guess it just comes to show that you can’t go wrong with this place. Everyone is so sweet and takes the time to make sure your eyebrows are on point.

Every once in a while, I look at my eyebrows and wonder what went wrong. It’s usually after I accidentally sleep on my face and I just look a mess. Monday was just one of those days, so I hopped online and booked an appt on Unilocal,how awesome! I even got nice reminder emails as the day approached. While the parking lot is ATROCIOUS and people love to speed through the narrow lanes, the inside of this salon is as serene and peaceful as you can get!
I booked an appointment with the owner, Ritu (it’s pretty cool that you can select who you want when booking online). When I arrived, I was quickly seated and she came over to ask me what I was looking for. I kinda just wanted my brows evened out, and she gave me a mirror while telling me what she planned on doing. I’ve only ever gotten my brows threaded at a shopping mall salon in Maine, so this was awesome! I really like how she only did a little bit at a time, so I wouldn’t be surprised by any drastic changes. She double checked with me before thinning them out too.
ANYWAYS, this place is awesome. There were a couple walk-​ins in the brief time I was there, and I’m sure they didn’t have to wait too long. I like that the focus here is on achieving your ideal brow shape over time, rather than a quick but drastic change. I wish I lived in the area so that I could keep coming back! I really can’t compare to other shops in the area, but it’s 100x better than my usual out-​of-​state place, and it’s cheaper too at only $ 10!

This is now my new go-​to threading salon in NorCal! I went there early in the afternoon on a weekday and it wasn’t crowded at all. I was able to get my eyebrows threaded right away despite not having an appointment. Pooja did an amazingly thorough job! My eyebrows are naturally uneven (one is longer than the other) and Pooja took extra time to make sure they were completely evened out. I don’t know exactly what she did, but this is the first time I’ve come out with completely symmetrical looking brows. This was also one of the longer threading sessions I’ve had, but I really appreciate her effort and thoroughness.
At $ 10, this place is very reasonably priced, and with the attention that your eyebrows get, it’s definitely well worth the money.

I was looking for a place to get my eyebrows done and I saw good reviews about this place so I decided to make an appointment and check it out. I booked an appointment with Rekha. She was really sweet and patient with me and she took her time. I didn’t feel rushed at all since there were a couple of people waiting and it was starting to get busy. I would recommend her to anyone and I’ll definitely will be coming back. I am extremely happy with her work she did on me. Now my eyebrows are even and on point!
The ambiance is really nice and the place has a relaxing feel and the place is kept clean and tidy.

The ladies here are sweet but standoffish. Its like an in and out thing. Come in, don’t talk, leave.

I was in the area and I decided based off the rating on Unilocal to give it a try. I’ve grown my eyebrows out for almost a month to reshape them and I left extremely disappointed. There was no purpose of having the threader to attempt fixing them, I’d rather take it into my own hands and salvage it; it was that bad.
Based upon the negative reviews, they cannot thread eyebrows that desire a thicker shape. The threader used the scissors way to much and one of my brows has an empty spot. Pictures are posted.
