Taqueria El Amigo

I’ve been coming here for a while now, and I must say every complain here it’s true. The service is not good and I am seeing at least 4 cashiers with 3 cooks in back and some how they can’t get this place in order. I place an order for a huarache and a taco the huarache order pretty simple no onions no salsa. the taco came out with a hair in the meat. Of course I was upset but I asked nicely if I can just get a replacement which is fine. They brought me a brand new order with everything on it now I have to wait once again to see if this 3 rd time they can get my order correct! Very frustraring

Tacos were good loved their beans. They Have a small salsa bar, spicy carrots were pretty good. I’ll eat here again.

The food was ok, but they give you free chips if tou dine in and charge you $ 1.50 for chips if the order is to go. I ordered a large come from the fountain, was $ 1.65 and you have to pay for refills. Anyplace else would give you free refills. The staff is just ok they definitely are not trying to wow the customers. I will not return.

I give this place «BIG 0». I hardly write a review… But this place is nasty, and as well costumer service is horrible. We order 2 pounds of Barbacoa just meat and one order was OK the 2^nd one was all greasy with lots of fat… hardly any meat. Writing this makes me throw up. Save your money if you can we paid over $ 50 for bad food (2Ib of Barbacoa and 4 drinks)

Bad service as stated on other posts. Multiple times messed my order up or forgot something. Food isnt worth the over priced items. Save your money and go somewhere else. Bad service and overpriced enough said. 0 stars if possible

I got introduced to this place a while back and have forgotten about it. But once I remembered I have been coming back for my same food I choose.
Which is pieces of pork in green sauce!

My fav are the asada enchiladas in green sauce, service is good an they’re usually pretty quick in making the order and their staff are friendly

Worst service i’ve ever had anywhere! And i gave this place numerous attempts since i live nearby and location is convenient. The food has been consistently disappointing, and they never get my order correct. I would’nt recommend this place to anyone.

Never before have i written a review before but food was so NASTY I feel like i have to write one.
Ordered 3 tacos: 1 chorizo and 2 Barbacoa. The chorizo one ok but the Barbacoa were discusting, very oily, The meat looked like it had been deep fried. I even asked the cashier/​waitress if that was barbacoa and she said «yes». when took a bite the oil would drip onto my place, disgusting.

The tacos are good and burritos so I thought let me change it up a bit I ordered a cheese burger BIG MISTAKE they got my order all wrong and loaded it with thousands Island dressing the bun was all soaked up it was horrible and tasted nasty also the meat was almost pink plus I got cold fries I’m NEVER getting a burger from there ever again waste of money and time

Love this place, the chorizo tacos combo is my favorite. My family are good friends with the owner so we know the employees as well. Just a few changes were made that bug me a little

I really like this place. Their tortas are amazing. Their drive thru service is not bad. I went Friday during lunch hour and the gal may have been new but she counted my change over and over.

Drive Thru service horrible. Ordered 3 tacos with onions cilantro and green sauce with a side of beans. Employees never aknowledged me at the window until the cook came out 10 minutes later and handed me 2 tortas… I gave it it back and had to order my food all over again and then no green sauce on the tacos. The meat taste like its been sitting in the fridge for a week. HORRIBLE

Horchata (rice drink) is better than other places, their jamaica drink is also good, and their tamarindo. We would come for the huaraches because they used to be delicious now they r pricier and they serve u the smallest amount of food possible. Service is non existent it’s like they hate working and are annoyed to be taking your order. Their salsa bar had a variety of salsas and carrots with vinegar, they discontinued the carrots and there are no refills on drinks not even with a minimum charge. I will not be returning unless I am really craving one of their drinks!

My beef burrito was well made. Hand diced tomatoes, and other healthy vegetables. Got the energy boost I needed.
Well maintained and clean.

I stopped by this morning and had the barbacoa stilo Hidalgo and it was as I expected delicious, my wife had the Birria de Chivo and she said it was also delicious. After reading about their Orchata I decided to try it out and it was really good too. Will definitely be coming back for the barbacoa.

The horchata here is better than most places. The Al pastor tacos are alright. Carnitas tacos are good. Their fish taco are different than other common Mexican fast foods being that the fish are fried cubes instead of the usual strips and it’s yummy.

I took my friends here through the Drive Thru & we had to make two stops becuz they loved my horchata. I told them I don’t lie when it comes to food. I LOVE FOOD!!!
Although the ladies looked at us funny & scared becuz we did pull up the driveway ordering horchatas. I was a bit emmbarrased but we love it there. =]

Well Ive been here a few times n now its time for a review. Im a big fan of the carne asada nachos. They give you a big portion with beans plenty of cheese n of course carne asada. Make sure 2 pay extra for the guac its worth it. for drinks I do recommend the agua frescas, make sure n try the agua de Jamaica

Este lugar NO merece ni una estrella porque desde que lo an «disque» arreglado an subido sus precios demaciado como que si quicieran que nosotros sus clientes pagaramos por las mendigas vacas que le an pintado al lugar ooooooooo y mucho ojo ala hora del pagar porque no es la primera vez q me cobran de mas rebicen bien su recibo especial mente si piden por la bentanilla siempre me cobran q por extra carne q nunca pido y que porsupuesto NO le ponen son unos RATAS si les pides salsa parese q les mientas ya savez q porque se molestan por eso esta el lugar vacio y eso les pasa por tacaños y muertos de hambre si se los escribo en español es para q la dueña lo mire y vea q la esta cagando un consejo ! La siguiente callecita tiene una lonchera de tacos muy ricos y aprecio muy razonable ballan y gasten su $ ahi son mas amables :)

Definitely a ton of taquerias in and around Santa Ana.
They definitely give you more meat than most taquerias in their tacos
And they try harder that the other more established taq’s like Andas
I had asked what a few things on the menu were since I wasn’t familiar with those and when my 2 tacos came out, the lady at the counter had given me a sample of 3 additional items of the things I had asked about, so that was definitely above and beyond… I’d rather support establishments like this and keep them in business
And the food is made to order +1…I’m sure its probably prepped, but not sittin in a steam table for hours anyway
