This is my 3rd Round 1 location to visit. I’ve been looking forward to visiting this place after watching some vids online and much to my delight they have much better crane games here. However I wasn’t able to win anything since the claws are rigged as hell and barely grab on the prizes. This place is a bit smaller especially with the bowling lanes compared to other locations but I did see that this place has 4 pinball machines next to the bar so that was cool. The prize redemption area was much better than Lakewood but Puente Hills has the best stuff you can redeem prizes. One issue I’ve been having with Round 1 not just this location but the other ones as well is that when I go and reload my card the workers don’t remember to give me my stamp for my purchase. It’s annoying how I have to remind them to give me the stamp when they should automatically do it without hesitation. Another major issue with this place was that this morning the men’s restroom was closed due to them installing new standing urinals or something and even the restroom right outside towards the mall was closed too since I got here before 11. Overall I do like this place a lot more than Lakewood despite it being a small place.

When this first opened I was REALLY excited for one to be closer to where I live. I was a little disappointed at this location because of how small it is compared to the Puente Hills Mall, but they have the latest games, so no complaints there. I’ve had trouble in the past before with some of the machines, but the staff was always friendly and helpful about it. Their karaōke rooms are ‘ehh, okay’, the rooms aren’t very soundproof, lights won’t dim, the machines always have issues. But it’s close by and inexpensive, so I go a lot. However recently I’ve had a bad experience that doesn’t make me want to return. After my sister’s graduation we came here to have some fun and celebrate with karaōke. My sister and her boyfriend are both over 18 and forgot their IDs at home. We thought everything would be alright since one of my friends and I are over 21 and were watching them. Our karaōke room was ready, so I went to the counter and immediately we had to show our IDs. We were confused at first since this has never happened before, so my friends and I got ours out, and I explained the situation with my sister and her bf. They refused to give us a room, so my sister had to leave Round 1 early. My friends and I had already waited longer than an hour for this room, so we decided to stay. The rest of the night was fine until midnight. An employee interrupted a song to tell us we had to show IDs. Again we were confused, because we showed ours to the lady at the counter and nothing was wrong. But the worker said my friend would have to leave because he was 18. Apparently their policy is that you’re still a minor ages 18 – 21 but can’t be a guardian unless you’re 25. I understand if the food counter had rules like this, since they serve alcohol. But we had no alcohol nor were we causing any trouble to the karaōke room. I asked for my money back, since we still had an hour left and I had to pay in advance. The employee let us stay until our time ran out, but it was a huge downer to the night. I’ve been to Round 1DOZENS of times, and never had something like this happen before. We joked about this location being ‘ratchet’ before, but now it’s more like a fact. I do recommend you check out the Puente Hills location though! The employees are always nice there and treat legal adults like adults instead of children.

Better than the one in Lakewood! I feel like the stuffed animals(like rilakumma) are better here than the one in Lakewood. compared to the one in Lakewood: –has more customers, more lively –better stuffed animals –place is a bit smaller –fewer arcade games My friends and I wanted to play some pool but it was 30 min wait so we just left. I do love this place little more than the one in Lakewood!

Customer service is a joke in this place. No response. People here are very lazy. They do not put the customer first. Would not recommend. This is my second times here

An all-in-one entertainment center for families, kids, and even adults. There is a cosmic bowling alley, karaōke rooms, an arcade, billiards tables, a snack bar and even alcoholic beverages in a small bar. It tends to get very crowded here, so the best method is to put your name in early for bowling and they will text you when it’s ready. We waited about an hour, but it wasn’t so bad because we grabbed some food and beers while we waited. Prices are pretty reasonable, and make sure to bring your own socks if you bowl! The snack bar was a little disorganized– I was right near it and didn’t hear my name called. Came back a little bit later and she apparently called my number but gave it to someone else. The food was fair– I got the chicken tenders and fries, and you get a reasonable amount. My friend got a pizza slice and it looked kinda gross. But overall this was a great time– don’t come here for the food but rather all the entertainment.

Wow, another Round 1 arcade! This time, much closer to Orange County. Like the other location on Azusa in the City of Industry, Round 1 is an entertainment hub for all types of individuals. Kids can enjoy unlimited gaming for about an hour for around $ 10 – 20. Also, adults can have fun with the bowling and karaōke rooms. What attracts most people, including me, are the claw machines and the endless amount of prizes to win. For about $ 20, you can enjoy several hours of fun. Going through game after game, you can rack up a ton of tickets to spend on cute prizes. Or you can luck out and end up with enough to buy a small pencil. Winning at Round 1 takes a bit more skill than luck. You can definitely beat the UFO claw machines by listening to tips from employees and you can own each arcade game by paying attention to working strategies. That said, be careful when coming here because you may end up dropping your entire wallet. The thrill and excitement of possibly winning prizes can tempt even the strongest of wills. Have fun and prosper folks!

This arcade features a full length bowling alley, arcade with ticket redemption, restaurant food and beer bar. GREAT place for your birthdays, get togethers or simply hanging out with the friends or family. The games here more Animé character inspired than other arcades with games/prizes inspired by Rilakuma, Tsum Tsum, Pokemon, and more! We bowled 90 minutes for $ 9.99 each. Bought $ 20 play cards and purchased the family dinner pack for $ 25 and fed 5 people. Definitely will be back here, just slightly disappointed with the amount of prizes available for low ticket winners. (Visited 5÷30÷2016)

Coming from Utah, this joint was awesome! I loved the diversity in games you can play. Even the crane games were easy because of the tips provided, sometimes the employees will reposition the prizes to make it easier for you. I wish I weren’t so drunk so I could take advantage of everything else offered there. Great time regardless.

I would compare Round 1 to Dave & Buster’s but with more variety in activities, from your typical arcade games to karaōke to bowling. They also have photobooths, claw machines, and a bar! The boyfriend and I were looking for something to do on a Saturday night and decided to check this place out. We easily blew through a few hours playing games with a $ 30 game card! I’d love to come back with a bigger group of friends to check out one of the karaōke rooms or bowling lanes. This location is a lot smaller than their Puente Hills location with fewer games to choose from BUT I’m just happy that something fun to do has been brought to orange county! You can still have a blast with good company :)

I always have so much fun coming here! They have everything — karaōke, an arcade, ping pong, billiards, bowling, and a bar. My friends and I especially love the karaōke rooms which easily fit 11 of us, and room #4 could fit 22! The karaōke has a wide range of songs from country to rap to the top 50. They come in Spanish, Japanese, or English. The arcade games are super fun! Some of them are giant versions of apps like flappy bird, while others are virtual reality or classic games. Overall, the arcades can get a little pricey but my friends and I can get a karaōke room for 2 hours for $ 4 each! Come here if you can!

So glad I don’t have drive out to Puente Hills. This mall has gotten brownie points since this opened. It’s so much busier here at the mall now too. I came to play a couple claw games. It’s very strategic and there’s pictures posted on the glass to help you out a little. I recommend watching a couple people play first to build your confidence and choose wisely which is close to falling over. There’s hk, rilakkuma, most you can find at Tokyo Central or even inside the mall. This would be a good place to celebrate all ages since there’s bowling, pool tables, karaōke, and photo booths. Finding service is hard, you usually have to get in line to have some attendance and make sure you have someone guarding your machine while you get help. It gets hectic. The pizza here is pretty good, it’s basic to wash down the beer. Overall it’s a great place to kill a couple hours of having fun.

I was surprised when they put this in where the old Nordstrom used to be. Where I used to pick up the latest Stussy gear and other skate/surfwear is a bar and karaōke rooms. Crazy how things have changed over the years but I think its a cool little addition. They have maybe about 10 or 12 lanes here, I have not bowled here so I cant comment on that. They do have a very nice little arcade and a ton of ticket games. Now here is where things are both good and bad. They have really cool and updated arcade games but most of the stuff here is just so darn expensive. They have four pinball machines(which I love pinball) and its a little over a dollar/credit a play. I mean come on some stuff here will eat up $ 20.00 bucks faster than a Vegas slot machine. Its too bad because I could totally see myself wasting a hour or two playing. The drinks/beers here are on the higher side but its what you can expect. This isn’t a hole in the wall dark and dank bowling alley like we all know and love. I have not eaten the food here but it looks pretty standard from what I have seen. Pizzas, nachos, dogs and french fries. I do have a buddy that was crazy enough to come here so much that although it may have cost him $ 1000.00, he got a Xbox One. CHEERS!!!

This location is one of the newer(and closer) locations they’ve built from this franchise. They offer pool, karaōke, bowling and the arcade. The arcade takes ¾ of the establishment. It has regular arcade games, ticketed games, photobooth and the most popular(I think) are the claw games. People go gaga over these claw games and man, are they hard to win. They even give you tips on the glass on how to win and I still can’t seem to get anything lol I guess I’m that bad. The reason for 3 stars. It’s a cool place but it’s always packed, games are always acting up when I come. The employees are really lacking in the customer service department. They are either 1) too busy with their primary job or 2) simply blow me off. Not cool. Also, the quality of this franchise has really gone down hill. I’ve been going to the one in Rowland heights for years and since they’ve expanded… They prizes are getting cheaper and cheaper. Less stuff is actually from japan! Most of the stuff is from the dollar store or wayyyyy too overpriced to even think about purchasing with your tickets. Boo. It’s basically a Japanese version of Dave and Busters… I would’ve given them 4 stars if I didn’t know what they used to be like. Sigh.

This place is okay… I have never been, so we decided to walk in randomly. Most of the games a really unique, since the majority of them are from Japan. To be very honest, we did not know how to play a good majority of them, considering directions and all are in Japanese. We did the photobooth thing which was fun(other than the camera not being high enough). We had to bend down a little to be in the frame(I’m 5’5ish…not a gigantic person). Again, everything here was in Japanese. It was super hilarious to see how my boyfriend’s eyes were turned super googly/feminine though LOL All in all, the experience was just okay. We ended up only earning enough tickets for a few pieces of candy lol

This is my first time coming here and it was the best experience I had, great gaming bowling and also pool tables. The bowling is not that expensive as I thought it would be. I like the drinks with package $ 2 all you can drink while you play. For the first time you pay $ 1 for card fee it’s a red card. Or $ 5 for the annual for a black card and get $ 1 discount for bowling or pool… I will definitely come back here

I am a plush toy claw machine addict and this is like an underage vegas ! Such a good and bad idea coming for a fix. Lol. The plush toys here are very nice, and the claw machines claws are fairly firm and have quite a good chance to win with mutiple trials. But still it’s a $ 2⁄8 credit each try. So still gotta paid the price for it. But since the plush toys are mostly larger size than a regular claw machine, it’s worth it if you do get one. The key to play these machines are to push not to pick it up, must watch for staff advice post for each machine to figure where to grab or push! Save a whole ton by reading it first!

Excellent place for family fun! We came on a Friday night got a table for dinner and some drinks. The pizza here is bomb! Not your typical bowling alley pizza. They don’t have liquor here, but they do have beer and soju(ask for their lychee soju). Bowling was a ton of fun here, comfy seats, clean rental shows and clearly marked bowling balls. And don’t forget the tons of arcade games here, it’s kinda like Dave and buster but in a more homey way(they have Japanese games that are unique). After trying a few times, they’ll come and adjust the machine to help you win. Would definitely recommend it!

A land of video game sounds bouncing off the walls and lights Vegas style that kids dream of and run towards, welcome to Round One. If you come to Round One, be ready to spend some $$ for a night, my cousin, brother and I spent $ 120 on the arcade alone. We walked away with satisfaction and exhaustion. The service here is outstanding, especially the claw machine area. I spent about $ 10 worth just trying to get a Hello Kitty toy. BUT I GOTIT! On my own which makes me even more proud. If you can’t get a toy and they see you struggling, they’ll assist you in moving the toy slightly closer or tell you where you should aim. They have notes on claw machines that show exactly where you should aim to get the toy. The photo booths here are beyond fun! We came out really cute and KAWAIIII lol. If you thought Dave & Busters was fun, Round One is way better! It’s not as dark inside as Dave and Busters is– which is nicer. The games are mostly Japanese or American, I loved the Japanese games! I couldn’t read anything but they were so fun. The prize store here is okay, we didn’t look at too much but you need about 5,000 tickets to get something decent in there. We wanted to do Karaōke but were too tired to be in a wait list and too hungry to wait. They bowling and billiards that you pay separately for, I definitely will come back to try all three. After 10pm, NOMINORS so if you look like you could be under 20, some say I look 16, bring your ID so you don’t get booted lol. I had such an amazing time, $ 120 went down the drain but the plush toys from the claw machine and our super cute Japanese photobooth pictures was worth it! I’ll be back and maybe get a membership card since I see myself coming here often :)

Pretty fun place to hang out for an afternoon. It’s located just off the freeway and connected to a mall so you can’t miss it! The inside has strong A/C which is great, since it’s still hot outside and there’re a lot of people inside. ~~~***BOWLING***~~~ I came with a group of 4 on Saturday and we played a round of bowling and played some arcades. Bowling was really fun(not sure how to rate it since it’s straightforward)! I was amazed by their shoe dispenser, which looked like lockers with a button to dispense the shoes. I was so tempted to run across the hall and brush all the buttons! The bowling interface(for noobs like me) was easy to use; we would type in our name and check if we wanted to use bumpers(I definitely did). Don’t bother typing in your name though because they end up only using the first initial. The bowling balls are colored based on weight, and they’re super pretty too! There are also bowling pin costumes, which I thought was funny and adorable. ~~~***GAMES***~~~ After a fun-filled round of bowling, we split into 2 groups of 2 to play some games. We bought a $ 20 game card for 2 people(=92 credits, so if you do the math that’ approximately 21 cents per credit). A lot of the games I saw range between 4 and 10 credits. The claw machines are the hype here because you can actually win things! *Repeat* ACTUALLYWINTHINGS.(It isn’t rigged? Not as much). I might say it is overhyped though. I was expecting to come out with a stuffed animal after 1 or 2 plays, but we ended up playing 5 times for a cute turtle. For 5 plays on an 8 credit game, that’s a $ 10 turtle! That was money burned fast… And on our first play, we didn’t know how the machine worked(you can only press/hold the left/right button once, then press the up arrow once, and then it drops). They do post recommendations on what to aim the claw for, but it’s not that easy and the claw is not as strong as you think(but still way better than the average). I don’t regret it though, that turtle was cute… The games were pretty fun, and there’s a variety for all ages. My friend and I have different preferences but were able to compromise on which ones to play. There are some Japanese games(in Japanese, so it was hard to understand what they wanted us to do), but where else would you play games like these? Our favorite was the Taiko(drumming) one. It’s 4 credits per person for 4 rounds of drumming. You first pick the difficulty then the song(and it’s a mild arm workout). The table-flipping game is also hilarious, but you only get to do it once and the animation is so dramatic that it takes forever. We also played the coin dozer games, which are always a classic. It’s sort of hard to win though, and make sure not to swipe for tickets too early or else you might miss out on extra coins dropping. Overall, pretty fun experience. I saved my game card so that I can come back again!

They have A/C, so that was a sheer difference for me compared to the Lakewood location. A gift in fact! Who knows, maybe Lakewood fixed theirs finally. Pretty much all the same games/activities as Lakewood; arcade classics, kids games, ski ball, claw machines, basketball, plinko, spinning wheels, bowling, billiards, karaōke. Had lots of fun earning tickets here by playing basketball. And again, the hubby can play StreetFighter non-stop until the joystick collapses. I know, we’re boring, sorry! May I address the ticket redemption area? BoOoOoo! You probably have to drop some serious bills/credit around here just so you get enough tickets for something incredible. They have some cool prizes/gifts/rewards. But honestly, 100 tickets won’t get you that much. Maybe just some candy or a pencil?! Or maybe I’m just a loser and don’t spend enough time in here or play the right games that bear many tickets. Okay, that must be the adult-who-wants-to-be-a-kid-again in me, complaining. Saved the redeeming for our next visit.
