JoJo Cakes

Enjoyed the cake that JoJo Cake made for my husband’s birthday! My husband is pretty picky and he enjoyed every bite, not too sweet and rich in chocolate! Great job! Also, they have great French macarons and peanut brittle.

I ordered a cake for my gf bday and it came out perfectly couldn’t be anymore happier will definitely come back in the future

Don’t go here. They wanted $ 190 to make a simple custom cake to serve 10 people. Going elsewhere!

Jojo cakes is AMAZING!
Not only are her prices affordable, but her desserts never fail to impress me and my family. We like to especially order her macarons (my favorite being her coffee and coconut flavors) because they always taste so fresh and yummy, and its always neatly packaged in a thin box that keeps the macarons in shape. On top of how amazing her desserts taste, the designs are always very beautiful as well. Mrs. Chau is very kind and always willing to help you in terms of your baking needs.

OMG I just picked up about 6 dozen macaroons from Van and we ordered the season Pumpkin flavor and it was to effing DIE FOR! Seriously, no joke. Pumpkin pie? Pst! Forget about those outdated things. This little macaroon is what you have dreaming of tasting every holiday season, but we’re always left like, «meh… It was better in my head.»
I had to stop myself from scarfing down the other 4 dozens.
I have had van’s macaroons before and they are always delicious. To be honest I think they are on par if not better than Lauduree, Paris. The smells are sooooooo accurate and she always has awesome Vietnamese inspired Flavors like Lychee macaroon, jackfruit macaroon, taro macaroon and so many more.
She is also the sweetest and loving person you will ever meet. Definitely should order some from her ASAP for the holidays or your next event.

I ordered a cake from this place a few weeks ago for my nephews 10^th birthday. Omg they were amazing. She worked with my budget. Cake was good. The design was just what I asked for and they delivered the cake right on time. I will not be going anywhere else from now on. They are amazing to work with SUPER NICE! You will not be disappointed.

I normally don’t post reviews but JoJo cakes impressed me so much that I had to write this to say thank you. I decided last minute to order a special cake for my son’s first birthday so that he can have a small cake to blow out the candles. I sent JoJo cakes a picture of the cake I wanted and they made me an exact duplicate in 3 days and also kept me in my budget!

I want to customize a cake for my son 1^st birthday. I sent 4 emails to 4 different bakeries. Jojo cake replied me right away. I sent picture of the cake I want. Mrs. Chau gave me some suggesstions because the cake I want is too expensive. The idea of saving money for customer made a good impression for me. After several email discussing about the cake, the decoration I want. I decided to go with Jojo cake.
When I came to Jojo cake, i was surprise because I thought it’s a bakery with a lot of different kinds of cake. No, it’s a home business. I was greeted by Mrs.Chau. She made me feel comfortable. I ordered a number 1 shape cake with buttercream and coconut and a little horse decoration by fondant.
The day I received the cake, it was amazing. Jojo cake don’t make me disappointed. The cake is so beautiful, exactly what I want. And I feel very satisfied. It’s delicious. A small thing I don’t like is the cake was a little sweet for me.
The cream puff is delicious too.
Everyone enjoy the cake and love the decoration.

Yum yum I still remembered the great flavor and taste of those French macarons we bought from OC market last summer. They were by far the best macarons we ever had! The owner told me they used most of the ingredients imported from France and I believe her. Those macarons are not too sweet, full of natural favor, melt right in your mouth… Jojo’s apple cake was delicious too

Absolutely amazing! Everything I’ve had from Jojo Cakes always tastes delicious and looks beautiful. I got cakepops and a cake made for my baby shower and the cake was moist and delicious not to sweet and the fresh fruit was sweet and a delicious touch to the already perfect cake! I also got my daughters 1^st birthday cake and it was exactly how I wanted it (straight from pinterest) and was delicious! I will continue to order all my sweets from here! Amazing work!

First of all, I’d like to consider myself a dessert/​sweets expertise~~ I definitely love my sweet concoctions, and I am proud of it! :D
I’ve had sweets from grocery stores to high end bakeries, and everything inbetween.
I have got to say, Lauduree has got to be my favorite french macaroons in the universe; and since then, I’ve had such a difficult time finding similar taste & quality in a macaroon. One day I went to a function, and they had a platter of beautiful and perfect sized macaroons lying on a table. I had a bite, and I fell in love once again! I asked where they purchased these, and they told me JoJo Cakes @ the OC marketplace.
The texture of the outer macaroon, is light, thin and has that right texture when you bite down the center, which is chewy NOT crumbly. The layer of crème is packed with flavor, and doesn’t coat my throat with the taste of butter.
My favorite macaroons are the mixed berry, pistachio, taro & lemon! OMG, I love them all! I am just a fan and most importantly one very satisfied customer!
If you’re in the OC area, DEFINITELY check this place out! It’s a bit pricey, but french macaroons are pricey in general– these are worth it!

I usually gorge myself on 2 or 12 when I’m lucky enough to make it down to SoCal. Can’t say enough good things!

Best macaroons ever! We live in Northern Cal and have access to many French bakeries that sell these precious little morsels but none taste as yummy … The filling matches the authentic flavor of the slight crunchy but moist shell.

We wish they would expand to Northern Cal, but maybe it’s a good thing they are not as I’d be eating nothing but macaroons all day long :)

Van’s French macarons are to die for! I personally have never been a big follower of macarons as I usually just eat them if they are there, but the macarons I had yesterday were simply little pillows of heaven! My favorites were the mung bean, lotus seed and coconut. Not only did they taste heavenly, the presentation was amazing. The macarons were for a special event at Fig & Olive, and they were the first things gone from the dessert bar. Being the Asian foodie that I am, I was able to grab one of each before they disappeared. You snooze you lose ;) Everyone at the baby shower also complimented on the lemon cake, but I can’t give an unbiased review as I hate anything with lemon. I would definitely go back to the bakery and check out the rest of the yummy cakes and pastries.

Van at JoJo Cakes is amazing and absolutely wonderful to work with! She did the spread for a friends baby shower today at fig and olive and all I can say is I’m blown away! We had a three tier lemon buttercream cake that all 50 fierce foodie females at the shower swooned over… Then for a little gift to the guests there was a Macaron and Chouquette Bar filled with the following macaron flavors: honey ginger, coconut, Mung bean, orange, jack fruit, and lotus seed. And to top it all off… we had decadent chocolate truffles to add to our goodie bags for our guests!
Van is truly a special chef and an amazing person with über talent.
Taste: her sweets are very delicate and subtle. She is not heavy handed in the sugars and really emphasizes on the natural flavors of all the fruits and ingredients she uses.
Design: whatever I dreamed of. Van made it possible… She’s THAT good.
Macarons: not many here in OC can replicate a true french macaron… But Van has been able to. She has demonstrated she knows what it takes to do macaron. If u can’t go to Paris for desserts this weekend give van a call.

Oh my gosh.
I’m in love with macarons. I tried them first in Paris, and have spent MONTHS looking for ones that tasted as good as those.
I found them at Jojo’s.
I walked past Jojo’s stand at the OC marketplace and did a double take at the gorgeous French macarons in their display case. Since they’re usually pretty expensive and I didn’t have much cash on me, I forced myself to walk right on past. About ten minutes later I couldn’t take it anymore and ran back to get a box.
These macarons are DELICIOUS. My family and I ate through a box of twelve in two days, and I can’t wait to go back and get more.

In our opinion there are not better French macarons around than the ones at Jo Jo Cakes. We first tried them at the OC marketplace and immediately loved the variety and creativity of flavors available. I then began working with the owner, Hong Pham to create a custom order for a party I was throwing. Throughout all of my correspondence with her via email and meeting her, she was a delight to work with and I truly look forward to working with her again. The macarons we ordered were a huge hit at the party, everyone could not stop talking about the unique flavors and how delicious they tasted! Highly recommend!
