I came here and i was next so i went with the fag which is the owner. this niggah starts telling me about his life and plants and the universe like calm the fuck down walter mercado hahaha XD. I could seriously care less about what he is saying im just looking at the mirror and seeing the worse haircut in the world then half way i stop him and ask what the hell was this. Then he said“oh don’t worry im the best barber in the whole world I haven’t met anyone better than me i know what im doing mijo” mijo? The fuck u wished niggah. One of the super brothers(Mario) sucks and dosent give a shit which is the one next to the window and his brother(Luigi) is pretty good. I don’t know if there is a better barber there, but the man who cut my hair wasn’t too good. I decided to go here because it’s closer to my new place and I read some ok reviews. I’m use to getting a clean fade and people taking there time. I was done in 15 minutes. Most people who line up the sides use a machine, but the old man who did my hair decided to use a disposable razor instead. Let’s just say the line up around my ear was so jacked up I had to go home and fix it. The fade itself wasn’t too bad but not the best. Still looking for a clean fade. I usually get it done in Fullerton… but it’s too far… and $ 30 a fade is kinda pricey.

First off the gentlemen who cut my hair was friendly and a nice guy. i know this place is great if you want fades, they are pros. I just want to point that out first. I specifically told the barber that I did not want it short on the sides nor a fade. I even pointed out a photo of the hairiest guy on the haircut example poster. Well, I ended up with a high blend fade with long hair at top, I looked like Vanilla Ice. I then said to cut the top off a bit, then I ended up with a FLATTOP! By then it was too late I was all butched up. Funny thing is I didnt get to see the mirror until he was finished. Also the haircut took over 1 hour and I was on my lunch break!!! I reminded the barber twice that I was on my lunch break. I ended up an hour and half late to work and looked like I just got an army cut. It was the longest haircut ever, my other barber(who is sick) takes about 20 minutes better.

I wanted to review this place especially because I have been looking for a new barber shop and I know how it is to have to start fresh especially when I had been going to the same place for 3 years. Needless to say I was very happy with this place when I left. The owner Philip is a very pleasant guy and I could tell the attention to detail he has while he was cutting my hair. The chair were comfortable with feet rests so you can basically stretch your legs out while you watched TV. This is going to be my new barber shop from now on. So if you’re looking for a new place, feel confident going into this place that you will not leave with a bad haircut. NOTE: The barber shop is NOT on Edinger and Fairview, it’s off of Edinger and BRISTOL. I think the map is wrong on this website.

Depending on what time/day you go, can sometimes be a bit of a wait, but its worth it, they know how to give a CLEANFADE and a LINEUP. Cost me only $ 15 for a razor fade and a line up… and it was CLEEAAAAN. When I use to live in the OC, I’d get my cut by Steven on a regular basis. He’ll clean you up real nice. Regular Hair Cut — $ 10 Razor Cut/Fade — $ 12
