Dollar General Market

Way bomb and way better than 99cent store for sure. Open later than everywhere else and have produce and better than just high quantity clutter. Friendly staff and big parking lot. Far off freeway tho only downfall but worth the 5 minute detour for sure. Check it out!

I stopped by the Dollar General yesterday on my way home from work. I had heard of it via people on the net from other states who shop at Dollar General in their state. I saw we had one in Santa Ana, so I stopped in. Glad I did! It was like a grocery supermarket on one side and a Big Lots and Walmart on the other side. I was very surprised. The prices were fair and the products were quality and brand name. If Dollar Generals start popping up, Big Lots is going to have to ante up their game. Anyway, I was acknowledged by every worker I passed on the floor with a «Hello. Are you finding everything okay?» I was even helped when I did have a question. My cashier also was helpful, smiling without being fake, and joked without a lot of small talk (which I appreciate). He made eye contact and thanked me and even said good-​bye. I left smiling, which I don’t do too much of when I’m shopping alone. I may or may not be back. It’s not close to where I live but if I happen to turn down Main Street on the way home again, yes I will be back! Recommend? You betcha!

I recently moved to California from Florida, where there’s at least one Dollar General in every small town, and more in the cities. Now I can go to one of my favorite stores and buy every product which I was used to before, and more, since this store also carries fresh produce and groceries. And they still have the $ 5.00 off coupons (online) on a purchase of $ 25.00 or more on Saturdays!

Very nice store with very affordable prices. It’s a cross between a Walmart (produce as well) and Dollar Tree but without the horrible people. It took over the old abandoned Sav On Drugs building and completely fixed up the building and parking lot. This store is also a savior on a hot day! They constantly blast the AC.

So far so good. Reminds me of a cross between fresh and easy, walmart, and 99 cent store.
