For such a little place you sure do get big service! Took my grandchildren here for breakfast before our trip to the zoo and the service was fast and efficient and very, very nice. The food is the same IHOP food you’ve always known and loved. I rarely, if ever, have issues eating at any IHOP. This place was no exception. I will say that this is a tiny place so be prepared to feel surround on every side by people. Don’t worry, you’ll forget about after experiencing the great service!

Waitress is rude and this place sucks! We ordered coffee but never got it. We reminded her twice but she still didn’t bring any. Lynda(waitress) who was working at the time was the only person working and the place was really busy so I blame it on the manager. Food was ok but she messed our orders as well. I will only come back here if I’m really really really hungry and has no food at home whatsoever. It was short staffed and rude too.

You’ll be in good hands with Vincent as your server. He is so sweet, very polite and attentive to his tables, which is kind of hard to see in these types of food chain restaurants unfortunately. He came by to check on us throughout the meal although the place was completely packed and he was busy as a bee. He was even sweet to apologize when my friend couldn’t use her birthday deal that she received through email because it wasn’t «printed on a paper», but it didn’t upset her much, thanks to Vincent’s sweet charm. Now onto food. Good portion size(maybe a little too much food, which is never something to complain about) but very heavy so expect to get hit with food coma afterwards. I really liked my meal, turkey and avocado bennie, which is served on really delicious toasts. I wouldn’t recommend ordering the unlimited shrimp, which is just popcorn shrimp, the kind you buy a huge bag of from Wal-mart and it’s just not worth the money($ 9.99). One thing that was very inconvenient with our visit was when we got our check. We were a group of six with separate checks, which we had to pay at the front where there was a big traffic of people waiting, and we were just in everyone’s way at the tiny front desk. It was very inefficient, and even the lady that was helping us was questioning why Vincent hasn’t separated our checks in the beginning. It was a mess towards the end of our good meal.

The manager is rude as well as some of the waitresses. I’ll never come back to this location, even if the Peachtree Rd location burned down, simply because a waiter committed the ultimate sin! Nobody touches my hot chocolate… I will 1. order my hot chocolate with food to make sure I enjoy them together or 2.“sit” it until my food comes… this particular waiter picked up my hot chocolate and threw it away, without even ASKINGMEIF I WASDONE! How rude?! I wanted to raise hell but it wasn’t worth it. Zero stars if I could

You can find this location of IHOP at 6120 Roswell Rd NE, Sandy Springs, GA30328 just South of the intersection of Roswell Rd and Hilderbrand Dr. Traveling North on Roswell Rd from the perimeter, the IHOP is on your left past the shopping center anchored by Whole Foods. IHOP has long been a favorite of mine, maybe due to not having any in my hometown. I first encountered IHOP(International House of Pancakes) while living in Florida and I must say that the locations there have much to be desired. When I tried my first in Atlanta(the location that used to be in Buckhead) I was quite surprised at how much better they are here than in Florida. The food just seems better and the service is quite a bit better. Also, the stores in Atlanta(at that time during the 80’s) were newer and much cleaner than what I experienced further south. This particular location is one of the few remaining that still has the iconic pinnacle roof — more like a modernist A-Frame than a restaurant and easy to spot from the street. This location is also one of the oldest in the South, the 6th to open and still in operation since 1966. Come inside and experience a hectic lunch or breakfast and you’ll see some magic in how fast the food comes to your table. This location in particular has some of the best consistency of product that I’ve found at IHOP and yes, it will be busy and you’ll probably have to wait. I try to come in a bit early for lunch and manage to get seated immediately. My regular lunch group comes here occasionally as we try to accommodate the vegetarian in the bunch, Sidd, who doesn’t eat meat but will eat eggs occasionally, making the local breakfast joints perfect for us. We tend to rotate through IHOP, Flying Biscuit and J. Christopher’s, which are all within about a mile of each other in Sandy Springs. Everything I’ve tried at this location has been quite good — I usually get the Chicken Fajita Omelet as it’s my favorite menu item — with a side of the Harvest Grain and Nut pancakes. Add some warm maple syrup and you have quite a meal. Sid manages quite well with some scrambled eggs and some hash brown potatoes but has been known to eat a pancake or two. The service here is quite good with quick servers who somehow manage to keep the orders straight, even with a bunch of «add this» or «sub that» — make sure you get the coffee as they leave a carafe on the table. All-in-all this is a terrific location that’s quite busy — come try it and you’ll see why. (also posted to my food blog)

Terrible service. Literally every single employee has an attitude problem. I’ve been a loyal ihop customer for years and I will NEVER be back to this location. This is my second try at this location and never again.

Old fashioned looking, old fashioned waiters’ uniforms, great service and pancakes– although there are some odd selections like New York cheesecake. They put some extreme butter on their cakes. It was really confusing on how to pay the check. Their butter is indeed a literal 1 pound tub of it.

Got in at 3am for a turkey dinner. I’m grateful they were open that late; the food is standard IHOP. The restaurant was very clean but what I found surprising is that I was the only customer there for the forty or so minutes I was on site and they had over 10 people working that late into the night. I was the only one there with all these people and they forgot about me, it took 10 minutes to come Take my order after I was lead to sit in a booth and then another 30 minutes for the plate to arrive. It was a very trailer park trash ambiance with staff texting, talking loud, constantly going outside to either smoke or come in and out of their parked vehicles and/or pretending to clean to stay busy. It was overwhelming and uncomfortable; wish I had taken my order«to go»; but, considering the time of the night it was, and the fact that the food was still decent, it is what it is…

«Nothing like piling on old pancakes and syrup after a night of beer drinking.» — Dazed and Confused(1993) When you want fruity pancakes and a side of hashbrowns and bacon — you go to IHOP. This locations is almost always PACKED so you usually have to wait. The place is both large and small — there are tons of seats, but the walkways are tiny, so your neighbors are very close when you are seated. The service is pretty good, but can be hit or miss. The food always comes out pretty quickly and the order is always right. Getting coffee refills is easy because they will usually just leave you the pot. I’m very much a fan of the large menu and lots of selections — but I usually go for the same things. Overall, I will continue to come to this location as they do a decent job and take good care of you once you get a seat.

Customer service is good. For all the people they have coming through the door the staff here is doing an incredible job at managing the crowd. Well I will say I am enjoying all the people. I just want to survive the madness baby!

Very mediocre… grits were watery. Banana Foster French Toast was just okay… Nothing to rave about. Waitress and rest of the staff didn’t seem to friendly. Waitress never came back to check how the food was or to give refills on our drinks. I should have gone to Waffle House. My server literally had 2 tables in her section… I just don’t get how you can’t give pretty decent service… smh.

I had no problem with the service it was the food I didn’t enjoy. I ordered the Belgium waffle with scrambled eggs and sausage. The sausage was the only thing hot on my plate. This place is small and could definitely use some upgrades.

This is my neighborhood ihop and my 4 year old son’s favorite place to eat breakfast. But after today i was very disappointed! I went around 11am and was seated promptly. But then my food took more than 40 minutes to come to our table and my son started to get fussy! of course, he was very hungry! The table next to us even left since it took so long for them as well! When finally our food arrived it was good. Can’t complain about that. When i went to pay for my food. I was calculating the tip on my phone, and the cashier(or should i say manager lady) was like in a rush aparently and giving me this attitude and commented«gotta love those phones huh?» That just ticked me off. Did not leave happy, but appaled actually offended.

Manager Sheila blow us off after complaining about the temperature and said she can’t do anything about it. Customers actually went home to get jackets.

They were very warm and friendly. We were greeted and seated promptly. A waiter by the name of Jeremey took care of us. He was really nice, manerable, and is a great waiter. He messed up my side order of bacon but remedied the problem immediately! Great service!
