Service isn’t what it used to be. I have shopped there several times in the past and recently went back and was surprised at the price hikes in everything. The staff behind the counter (a young man and lady) were more interested in their own personal conversation rather than helping me out. Last time shopping there for me. Back up the road to Kendell’s Hardware.

I make in the other day needing a metal shower hose which no one seems to have in stock and just carry the cheaper plastic one. My experience was incredible, I live a little over ten miles away from them but the trip is worth it!!! Searching for hardware stores, I saw their listing and on the off chance other places failed I called in to make sure they had the part and the gentleman on the phone had good manners and assistive skills.
Getting there was a quaint drive on Olney Sandy Spring Rd, nostalgic would be a great word considering how most of the DMV area is.
Very caring and friendly staff, like S. W. said family owned and operated but the slightly higher price but worth it and only moments entering the store I was asked if I needed help.

Awesome company!!! Family owned and operated. While some of the chain hardware stores may be a bit cheaper for some products, what you get in customer service is well worth the few extra dollars you might spend. They offer everything the other chains offer AND you don’t have to search for an employee to get assistance :)
