While going antique shopping in the area we stopped in this place thinking it was just going to be your typical«hole in the wall» hot dog joint… Wow were we wrong! The menu options were wonderfully unique and really tasty! We had the Tijuana dog, which was a bacon wrapped dog, topped with jalapeños, cheese, grilled onions and mustard. Holy cow! It was yummy. We also tried a hot dog with sauerkraut, grilled onions, and mustard which was really great! We also got an order of fries called Wagon Wheel fries which were topped with BBQ sauce, bacon, cheese, jalapeños, and onions… they were fantastic as well. You can also get those toppings on their Wagon Wheel hot dog. This place was a welcomed surprise in such a small town like Sandwich and it really seems like a place you would be more likely to find in the city or larger suburbs. One thing is for sure, I wish it was closer to home so I could go to it on a regular basis… a second location perhaps? :)

Shooky’s is the best! Dogs are fantastic and service is great! Locally owned and operated, you can’t go wrong. The deep fried bacon wrapped dog with cheese is sooooo good. If you are heading west of Chicago, this is the place for a outstanding dog!

If you want a great hot-dog with some original menu choices and variety, you have come to the right place when you stop at Shooky’s! The people who run this place love what they do. When that happens you know you are going to be eating some great food! The Chicago dog is excellent. It is one of the most tasty, juicy hot dogs I have ever eaten. The corn fritters are little«gems» and quite a surprise. The«dirty dog» is excellent and quite original. You need to stop here and check it out, and then you will be coming back again and again because it’s SO good!

Great family owned unique Hot Dog place. I always stop in and chat with the owner who is a total foodie. Very Innovative dogs and uses high quality ingredients. Try the Wagon Wheel or any of the Bacon Wrapped deep fried dogs covered with Melted cheese, BBQ, Onions, Tabasco Pickles, Jalapenos, Lime, Bacon Bits, or a tradition Chicago dog with sport peppers and neon relish. Great Place, Great price, Great people…

Was out for a casual weekday drive towards Starved Rock and Unilocaled the area for a quick place to eat. This popped up and I have to agree, it’s a little gem that serves true Chicago style dogs. While there’s no inside dining, there are a couple of tables to sit at outside. For being out west of Chicago, if you’re out this way and want a great dog, you can’t go wrong with this place.

Yeah so what if I don’t eat meat I love Shooky’s! If I got fat off the wagon wheel fries(no bacon of-coarse) then life is good! They have tons of different interesting hot dogs my husband loves and this pizza thing my kids like. In the summer the tables outside are a great place to enjoy your food. Staff is friendly. Food is good. Price is awesome. What all do you need?
