Terra Patio and Garden

I worked with Rick on what we’d consider a fairly substantial purchase — couch, loveseat, chair, side table, ottoman and coffee table. Rick was a professional from the minute we met. It took us several weeks to make up our minds and we never felt any sales pressure. When our project was delayed, we needed to delay the furniture delivery more than a month. This, too, presented no problem. We have the furniture now and we truly could not be happier. Excellent quality, reasonable price, great experience. We shopped around extensively through the East Bay — stores in Walnut Creek, San Ramon, Pleasanton — and TP far and away had the best selection for our taste. We could not recommend TP and Rick any higher.
By the way, we purchased the Carmel Ventana set.

Phenomenal customer service from Jim. This guy is super easy to talk to, he takes his time with you, is never pushy, and is very patient. What I mean by patient is that we stopped by his store about 5 different times, none of those times did we purchase anything since we were still «searching» and evaluating our options.
On our 1,000,000,000^th visit we finally purchased all our items at once: kid’s playground set, table, chairs, sofa, loveseat, and fire pit. Just like every other visit, Jim was kind, courteous, attentive, helpful and gracious.
We like the way this business is run and the customer service they provide. They have a great selection of items and are always willing to help discover the style and feel you want to obtain with your outdoor living space.
Do yourself a favor and ask for Jim, he’ll take care of you.

My husband and I walked into Terra Patio yesterday and were treated to superb service by Jim and Diana. They were patient and thorough, kind and knowledgeable. They work with a cushion manufacturer who does excellent work so we didn’t need to buy through the furniture mfr and spend a fortune to update our set. We ordered ten custom cushions and saved enough money to be able to buy a new dining table and fire pit. The anticipated delivery time? Four weeks. Four weeks! We’ll be back…

We purchased a teak patio set with umbrella and cushions from Terra Patio. First, let me say that the customer service is exceptional. We dealt with Jim Singer and he’s professional, helpful, and extremely patient. We iterated a few times on different patio configurations and they were kind enough to help us rearrange their store in the process. (Meanwhile our kids were happily distracted playing on the trampolines and playsets they have setup.)
So we finally ordered our set and it was delivered on time, except it was missing two chairs! Somehow there was a mixup with all the iterations such that we thought we were buying eight chairs but Terra was selling us six. Terra’s warehouse manager was extraordinary and delivered two extra chairs in short order; we were delighted with their proactive customer service. While we were upset, Terra stayed cordial and professional throughout– turning a disgruntled customer into a huge fan in the process. Their entire team really provides five star service.
We have only had a few weeks to enjoy our patio furniture but the quality seems good and we’re looking forward to using it for lots of years. Terra has lots of their furniture made under their own brand (sourcing their own materials to maintain quality). It’s not cheap but you can tell the difference between their sets and the lower quality stuff offered through chains/​big-​box suppliers. We highly recommend working with Terra Patio– especially Jim (or Adam) if you want a high quality patio set backed with top-​notch service.
