My favorite place for lunchtime sushi. I agree it doesn’t have fancy décor but the owners are great, the service is great, the sushis is great and the price is great. What more do you need? I’m a pretty easy going person, this might not be the best place for the more critical or demanding customers. This is a great find. I come here all the time.

Great taste, ok price for the portion size. Fast, but I was the only one in the place. No complaints.

If you demand ambience this is not your place. It’s like a tired diner in here with 50’s linoleum and vinyl on aluminum chairs. Slow service and mediocre rolls. Avoid it if you can.

great family run place. Food is good, service can be a little slow if they are busy.

Poorly executed rolls falling apart on my chopsticks. Gritty sand in the shrimp. Asked for sashimi and they gave me nigiri. Maybe it was a bad day, but I’ll never know. Won’t be going back.

This family business has been around for a long time. They have a wide variety of sushi and other authentic dishes. Very casual but welcoming

Not to busy, service was bad. Their kids gave us our sushi, as they were completing their homework at the next table. Had to flag the waitress down to order more. She seemed totally uninterested that we were there and a customer. Sushi was ok, nothing special. Just an ok experience. There was four of us and we all agree we will not be coming back.

Very good sushi for a reasonable price. They are great with service, unless their house is busy. Wonderful fresh fish and the sushi rolls are always great!

Sushi House is a true hidden gem. The attention to quality is excellent. i love the family vibe of the restaurant. It’s rare to find a place where the owner is actually there all the time making you dinner. Kevin, the owner, even grows his own shiso leaves and garlic. He also does his own saba(mackerel) house marinade and tamago(omelette). The marinated mushroom rolls, also homemade, are my favorite, since I am a vegetarian and don’t eat fish. However, my partner is a fish aficionado, and he is always excited about the ever changing cuts of incredibly fresh fish. His favorites are the garlic albacore and the salmon skin handrolls. They also have an unexpectedly large sake selection. They really go the extra mile at Sushi House to do most things in-house and take tons of extra steps, rather than buying things pre-packaged. This is reflected in the quality of all of the food served and the care with which you are treated. The owner’s wife waits tables, and they truly make you feel like you are part of the family. Many customers are regulars who have been coming here for years. We drive over 40 miles from Richmond to eat here because after eating at Sushi House we simply can’t accept any less.

We went there last night for dinner ordered 3 rolls and a bento box, completely forgot about the bento box till the last 5 mins of us eating. And gave us the wrong roll and took it back after we had already touched it. Did not refill our drinks. It was very unusual for this place, I normally love it, but service was definitely lacking last night and the place wasn’t even that busy. Maybe three people in there.

I don’t see how this place is called a sushi house. We ordered five different types of sushi rolls and a teriyaki chicken dinner plate. You could have better taste sushi rolls and teriyaki at a Chinese buffet restaurant who serves sushi on the side for less than $ 15 per person all you can eat. There was one other table besides our table and the place was pretty empty. First roll came out in 15 minutes every other role followed every 10 minutes why so slow I don’t know. Sushi tastes really bad and poor quality. They over charged us on two rolls without telling us. First time and last time for me at this place. I definitely would not recommend this place.

Grace and her husband Kevin own Sushi House. The food is excellent and always fresh. Great place and always friendly. Can’t beat their prices! Will continue to stop by at least twice a week! They are the best around! You can’t beat the salmon teriyaki so moist and never dry! Give it a try you won’t be disappointed!

My husband and I went on April 4, 2015 and this place was amazing. The people were very nice and were eager to help with whatever we needed. It was nice and tidy which of course is also a plus. The food was very tasty. I got the sushi and sashimi combo. SOOOOOFRESH. The bento box we got was also very good. One of the items I got was beef teriyaki and you can tell the beef was the real deal not like when you go to other sushi places where it’s very … Plastic tasting. My husband got a tonkatsu ramen and loved it. Very flavorful. Overall, our experience was amazing!

They are all about customer service! I walked in 15 minutes after they closed not realizing that they had closed at 9(I thought they closed at 10) and they happily took my order. «I don’t care if we’re closed. If you walk in and we’re here, we’ll take care of you. Don’t worry» is what she told me. Any other place could’ve turned me away or simply given me a dirty look for walking in after hours. And on top of that, the lion king roll that I was craving was delicious! They gave a great impression for my first time coming here. Thank you!

Sushi house is a great family run restaurant that really cares about their customers. I wanted sushi tonight and was not disappointed. The servings are huge and the food is awesome. I like the double Hamachi roll and the Luna roll. Definitely try the Poki Salad! I have had all the Sushi in San Ramon and this one is my favorite.

I got ramen take out from here tonight, as I have been craving ramen for a while. This was very disappointing. The broth was super salty, the meat was fatty(pork), and not like pork belly good fatty, just fatty. The noodles looked at tasted like top ramen out of the dried package, and the egg was hard boiled. My search for good ramen in the area continues…

Came here for a late lunch with some peers and boy am I glad I came here! For just $ 11.25 you can order the Deluxe Bento box which included(Shrimp tempura/vegis/salad, miso soup, salmon teriyaki and california roll). I was stuffed after eating this huge fest for the rest of the day. Service was really fast and the food was definitely good. Must come here and try this spot out for lunch or dinner!

OMG, this place is so yummers! It’s a small, cute little restaurant tucked away in the plaza. For lunch time they didn’t seem too busy. The miso soup was bomb. I ordered the lunch special Miso Ramen. O M G, sooooooooo good! FYI, it had pork in it, I just picked it out. But other than that, soooooo good!!! Usually when I get ramen, it’s pretty bland but theirs was so flavorful! & it’s a BIG bowl of soup. I will definitely be back ;)

This is just a run of the mill ok sushi place. They have a lunch special of two rolls for 10 dollars, but the fish isn’t that fresh, the rice isn’t that great, and the creativity of the rolls are just so-so. Service is decent, the staff friendly, but nothing here really stands out, in terms of creativity or quality. Prices are affordable, and parking is easy to find in the area. Came here with some co-workers for lunch, and we all agreed that this place is a decent find when we are the area, but not somewhere we’d really drive out of our way to go to.
