True Value Hardware

Location is small. They don’t have a lot of things, but the employees are very helpful, courteous and nice. Today they had what I needed for a quick fix at my apartment. I didn’t have to fight the crowds like I did at the other location and my transaction was fast.

Is this the cheapest hardware store in town? Not necessarily. Do they have the largest selection? Definitely not. So why five stars?
Because when I walk into Ace, everyone looks lost, and when I ask them a question, they look lost — and, if I do find something, it’s way more expensive than anyplace else in or around San Pedro.
On the other side of town, if I go to Home Depot, most of the time I get a completely disinterested youngster who doesn’t know what’s going on, or (as happened yesterday), an oldster who sent us to the entirely wrong part of the store (well played, Home Depot Troll, well played).
But … I walk into True Value, and they are crazy good about giving me advice, finding me the right product, and, if they don’t have it, sending me to the right place. This is a local hardware store in the best sense of the term.

Local hardware store located on pacific that has everything you need for you home repairs. I come here more than any other hardware store because someone is always ready to help me plus its walking distance from my house. They also make copy’s of keys. Entrance is located in front of store & in back along with parking.

A small yet efficient hardware store for the small things you might need for a project. What I like about local hardware stores is that you’ll find niche supplies such as certain cleaners, tools, bike accessories, etc. I needed a few nails for a project for my students, and without needlessly having to buy an entire package or box, I only spent a few cents on seven.
The store itself is easily accessible whether from the front (on Pacific) or the back lot. There is a myriad of dust caked over some of the inventory (probably those that haven’t sold for a very, very long time). And some parts of the store is used for storage. I’m sure most people do not come in here for the aesthetic value.
If you plan on using a credit card, there is a $ 10 minimum.
