Nice little local spot for a cup of coffee or sandwich. Chill vibe and friendly staff. They also have a large soda selection with hard to find brands. Wish I had one of these kind of places in my neighborhood. Keep an eye out for their events too. Went to a wine tasting a little while back.

Great variety and all well done! I came here with my family while visiting for the holidays and I was so impressed. The drink selection alone is worth the trip but the food is excellent and well though out. We each ordered something different and it was all so delicious. I was also so happy to discover a wide variety of options for vegetarians. If I lived here I would be coming all the time!

Recently I was pet sitting for some clients right down the street from this cute little corner store. I decided to walk over here for some lunch and snacks. The store had a full deli with lots of delicious items, many snacks, and even cute little knick knacks. The price was decent, not cheap, not expensive. The service was pretty fast even though they were a little busy. I would definitely recommend this joint to anyone who is looking for breakfast, lunch, or just to get your average snacks from the store. The only downfall for me was that if you pay with a card you need cash for the tip, they don’t let you tip on card :(and also for anyone wondering, the card minimum is $ 10 but they do have an ATM machine inside as well.

I was so darn impressed with this place my review will probably sound bias. While looking for a place to have lunch on my moms birthday(with the intention of being close to the cliffs to enjoy our grub) I found this place on Unilocal. The place is totally eclectic and quirky inside, lots of random cool things to check out, toys, weird sodas and snacks. But the real party is the deli menu, WHOAAA! First off there is like 100 things on the menu and I wanted every single one of them. As a chef myself, it was just staggering to think of how much fresh food inventory they must have to keep on hand to make all those items. Anywhoo… My hunger family and I ordered a ton of stuff to eat, and while it was being freshly prepared in the kitchen I happen strike up a conversation with a very cool gal named Peggy. Turns out Peggy is the owner and she was super awesome and kind to us in every way imaginable. Also turns out her and her husband are sailors like my wife and I. She tells me that they make all the pastries and breads in house with there own pastry chef. But at this point its just a cute place with a super nice owner(I hadnt tried the food yet). We get our togo food in some containers, nothing special looking on the outside(duh). We walk half a block to the cliffs to eat at the park. I sit down and open my food container and what do I find inside(god I wish I had taken a picture) but that was the last thing on my mind as I gazed down upon the most freaking unreal looking bacon avocado burger I have every seen, and I’m a man who likes him some burger. Guys and gals, I kid you not, the patty as hand made and at least ½ inch thick, the patty stuck out another ½ inch all around the already huge freshly baked in house ciabatta bun. If that was not enough the burger was loaded with fresh avocado and delectable perfectly cook bacon. Sorry if Im going on an on here, just trying to express how darn impressed I was with the Corner Store. I could go on for another 5 pages about my families dishes, but I think you get the point. However now I am burdened by the experience as every Sunday when my wife and I go sailing in San Pedro, I insist on getting another one of these burgers. Its really not fair to make food that is so irresistible. Please try this place out, and make sure to always give small business a shot before heading to some crappy fast food.

One of those odd little stores you seldom see anymore. It’s a combination café, toy store, soda-pop store. Good sandwiches, great selection of teas and sweets, and some of the weirdest sodas imaginable.

I moved to this area 7 years ago, and I can’t say enough about what an asset this little neighborhood store is to this community. Not only have I been able to get to know my neighbors through the«regulars» that frequent the store. Peggy does such good work to help the community at large, with fund raisers and spear heading campaigns to help local causes and families that are in need. She also showcases local artists, from painters to jewelry makers and musicians. Saturday mornings she has live bosa nova!! Less I forget to mention the wonderful little deli and bakery with one of the largest selections of «pop» I’ve ever seen.

Been Here twice and everything is delicious! feel like I’m going back in time when I walk in this place. The prices are right and the portions large. Tried the Frisco burger on a ciabatta bun that was as good as any burger I’ve had in a while. Had a lemon cake that was tasty. Next time I had a swabby melt on rye, I can’t believe how fast I ate it. Also had a mango and a raspberry almond dessert that were good. Hidden local spot you have to be looking for cuz you might miss it or keep driving because of how it looks from the outside. I guess that’s alright by the locals.

A real gem. Just go already! Also, for those complaining about the exterior: I love it. The white front with the blue tables and cushions fits the ocean-front location perfectly. Don’t change a thing!

Been meaning to write this review for awhile now since I come here all the time. The Corner Store is right down the hill from our house. Located at 37th& Barbara, no trip to San Pedro is complete without stopping in and here’s why: First, it’s like stepping back in time to a little country store similar to something our parents prolly enjoyed when they were kids. Second, the staff, owner, and even the locals who hang there are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Third, their prices are very reasonable and they have great sandos, hot dogs, fresh baked cookies and pastries. I go there weekly for a cappuccino and the apple torte, so yum. They have lots of convenient grocery items: milk, bread, beer, etc… Oh and lots of candy and ice cream choices too! Now then, this place’s claim to fame is their selection of old time soda pop. I have never seen such an awesome selection of bottles and it makes coming here that much more fun. Honestly someone could come here 100 times and not try all the different sodies :) just makes me smile even thinking about chugging all that sugar. My favorite(so far) is Dang Butterscotch Root Beer. It’s crazy good! Places like this DONOT exist anymore and deserve our support so do it!

I have lived here all my life and have never been or eaten here. Today I got my pops the roast beef sandwich(with extra roast beef). He loved it… said it was one of the best roast beef sandwichs he has had in years! I will definitely return… to keep my pops happy.

We came here two days in a row, that’s how much we enjoyed it! Don’t be scared off by the harsh exterior. Inside, the place is quirky and charming. We got a chili cheeseburger with added bacon, which was AMAZING! I love how they serve their burgers on toasted ciabatta bread– it makes all the difference in the world! Also good is their lemon white chocolate cake. The hot dogs aren’t great… But the portions on their tuna salads and Reuben sandwiches are awesome! Also fun is to peruse their root beer and cream soda displays, and choose something fun to drink. They also sell tons of knickknacks, crocheted items, vintage candies, etc but we didn’t take the time to look through. Seating is ample, with some big wooden tables that each sit 8 – 10 comfortably(perfect for large groups!) as well as chairs and sofas. One star off because they charge you for anything and everything. We wound up paying an extra $ 4 just for cups for water and utensils to eat our meal. Apparently each cup you ask for is $ 0.50 … Same for utensils… How they manage to get away with making you pay for water they get from the tap, I don’t know. This made me upset, as we were already paying for a group of 8 of us to each get entrees, drinks, and desserts– it was unnecessary to nickel and dime us for cups of water! Hope management takes this into consideration.

Literally, this must be one of the coolest lil corner stores and it’s just sitting in a residential neighborhood… Feels like walking through a portal into an episode of Leave it to Beaver hahaa We stopped in after a long day to grab some drinks before the drive back and was surprised to find that they had many more options than expected! We had to go but seems like it’s a great place to kick back. The atmosphere is def more lazy summer afternoon than crowded coffee shop w ppl working everywhere. I went for the iced blueberry green tea which was crisp and refreshing but there was a multitude of other options, including an unwieldy selection of soda which was really fun to look at, selections of wines, coffees, snacks and sandwiches as well as some pretty entertaining signs throughout the store: «unattended children will be given an espresso and a free kitten» LMFAO
