I am a steady customer of John’s for many years and I am happy to recommend him. He has continued to improve the place since he took it over. You can never tell when they will be busy so I call early in the day for an appointment time. He usually fits me in the same afternoon.

This place is a San Pedro institution. The barbershop has been upgraded and improved since John took over ownership in recent years. He has built a stable team in contrast to some of the nearby franchise style operations. Some of the descriptions below are not consistent with my experience with the hair care professionals at South Shore Barbers. Check it out and decide for yourself!

I walked in to get my son a hair cut after waiting my turn with JOHN he ponds me off to the female BARBER. This resulted with the worst hair cut ever! She took a long time to cut my sons hair and neither of the BARBERS were friendly! I did not like this barber shop at all. And I strongly recommend that you should avoid it!

John is great. He always cuts my hair proper. Never see any strays after I come home. Should have reviewed this place a long time ago.
PS: People need to start showing up on time for their haircuts. It holds up the subsequent appointments

Went to John for the first time and he did an outstanding job. He used a straight razor to clean up my neck, I haven’t had that done in this century. Great price too! I will be back AND bring my kid.

John does an outstanding job on me and my boys. Call for an appointment and you wont wait for more than a few minutes.
