this place is great! the prices are reasonable, no more expensive than anywheres else, possibly a tiny bit cheaper. the people who run it are super kind and accommodating. they are attentive to the patrons and will jump right on assisting you with hauling your laundry to and from your car, always with a smile and greeting. they really go the extra mile with customer service. I was doing my laundry here tonight and the washer kept getting thrown off balance. the attendant fixed it for me & said that he’d keep an eye on it for me while went and ran an errand. he even let me stay & finish my last load after the cut off time even though I was the only one left in the place & he’d already finished cleaning up for the night. he didn’t seam irritated or in a hurry to go home and I really appreciated it. I would recommend this place for sure. definitely my favorite laundromat in San Pedro!

Okay. Launderworld. That’s the place we’re reviewing here. Not the parking lot or the stores that are in it. 1. They have wifi. 2. There is always someone friendly working there. 3. Lots of other stores nearby 4. It’s always clean 5. They have many different sizes of washing machines wifi is available, all you have to do is ask the very friendly attendants that work there for the password and they’ll present it to you. The attendants will bring a cart out to your car, help you bring your laundry in and offer any reasonable assistance. They are constantly cleaning the washing machines and dryers and will help you if a washer gets jammed or does not finish a cycle. If you read detergents or coffee or pizza or groceries or sporting goods or anything else for that matter there is a nearby store you can shop at. With a large variety of washers and dryers this place can accommodate any of your washing needs. 5 points. 5 stars.

I just want to comment the last guy, Rob’s, comment. It’s Rite Aid, dude, that’s why it’s so crazy there! Who knew, right? But my wife and I have insurance and they had a spat with Walgreens and switched a thousand people – you could choose CVS or Rite Aid, and at the time we had a RA in walking distance. We did not know. 1. We love it; you get a free Wellness card so you punch in your phone number each time you buy & you get 20% off everything. BUT, that’s not the half of it. They give you special discounts, so that sometimes you get a prescription, 2 bottles of suntan lotion because pale guests are arriving today, and an ice cream cone(they have those; they’re excellent), and the clerk looks you in the eye and says, «eighteen cents, please». I am not joking. You pay and get the hell out of there, you’re so happy all the machines are broken giving you 8 things for free, and you look on the receipt… no, it’s just you had X points on your Wellness and they gave you two 5 dollar coupons, then too the 20% off everything. It’s awesome. But go there Friday night, I guarantee you, it is like Bourbon Street in New Orleans. People screaming, homeless people everywhere, charities collecting cash out front, skateboards whizzing in and out of the store. Go try it and tell me if I’m lying. It’s like going to Disney World(but more adult themed) on the weekends, there. Is it because they dispense narcotics, and sell alcoholic beverages? We’ll never know, but hold on to your jockey shorts over at the laundromat, Rob! Somebody may steal a pair to use for a headband on their way over to Rite Aid.

As I mentioned in my Kmart review, my washer bit the dust recently. While I am paying for my washer on Kmart layaway, I am back to the old laundromat. Launderworld does not have a lot of bells and whistles. There is no wireless internet, no flat screen, and no happy hour. What Launderworld does have are plenty of washers and dryers of varying sizes that work, and a Coke machine. I thought it was pretty cool that I could put a weeks worth of laundry in 8 washers at the same time, wash it, and then dry it all at the same time in 3 dryers. I know, I am easily amused, but it was great to do that whole week of laundry in about 90 minutes and then be on my way. I hardly had time to crack the novel I bought at Rite Aid next door and drink a soda. Best of all although the hours are not posted anywhere, the guy that works there told me that they open at 5:00 am on Saturdays. I am an early riser, so I am looking forward to getting there early next time, getting my wash and dry on, and getting out to enjoy the rest of the weekend. There are some questionable types wandering the parking lot in that shopping center– this is San Pedro, «where the ghetto meets the sea», after all. I wouldn’t want to hang out there at night.
