I love this place!!! Been coming here for the past year and I can honestly say everything on the menu is delicious, authentic, and fresh. The place reminds me of a smaller version of a chipotle: stainless steel walls, small eat in area, glass walls that divides the food from the customers. It’s hidden in between the Chevron and Sprint Store. The owner is super friendly and you can tell she really loves her job. I’m in love with their pico de gallo, which is mild salsa, it’s fresh and has great flavor. They also have two other salsas: red(hot), green(medium). Their 2 tacos for 99 cents(plus tax) deal is amazing! They have an assortment of items on their menu, but also have a ‘specials’ menu that changes from day to day. They are cash only, but they do have an ATM machine within the place, so they got you covered. Overall, this place is a hidden gem in San Pedro. They are clean, they have fresh tasty food, customer service is always an A+, and their prices are ridiculously low for these reasons and so much more I am giving them a well deserved 5 stars.

I stopped coming here because last time I had tacos from here they tasted uncooked. Also, the young woman that runs this place never smiles and she gives off a rude vibe.

We needed something quick that we could take with us for a picnic. We decided to check out some street tacos. Overall, the tacos were great. The spicy salsa wasn’t too spicy(which was somewhat disappointing), but it did have good flavor. The price is right for food. Parking can be a challenge. There isn’t much available.

San Pedro is the taco city, many many mexican restaurants. This one is more like healthier fast food take out. It’s right by the freeway so you can call in your order and pick it up on your way. Food is somewhat fresh. Prices are reasonable. The owner is usually there, working gracefully. Food is more like homemade, flavorful but not too salty. Shredded beef is my fav. And the hard shell tacos must be toasted instead of fried becouse you won’t see or taste an ounce of oil. I personally love the whole beans, fresh chopped tomatoes and cabbage thing they have going on. Wait time takes away 1 star. Paying extra if you want any salsa becouse it does NOT come with your taco, hmmm, strange!.. All and all not my go to place but once in a while treat.

After experiencing a terrible 3 hours at the DMV, I decided to look up taquerias in the area to grab some food to go before I headed back to Lakewood. Parking is a little awkward, but the overall ambiance was nice. Pricing is very reasonable. I ordered carne asada street tacos and a chicken quesadilla and it was DELICIOUS. It was fresh and very satisfying especially after having a crappy day. I will definitely commute again to San Pedro specifically for these tacos! Definitely a keeper.

The place is good to come eat like your at home. You can come in, the place is super casual. I like a place where I can hang out, watch tv, and eat delicious Mexican food. The food is very authentic. The staff are respectful and accomidating. You cannot beat the prices. The parking is small, but manageable. Menudo, tamales, mole, and much more. Will defineately frequent this establishment.

My definition of hole in the wall is a tiny place that has friendly people and good comfort food that reminds you of home. As a Mexican this place did just that and it helps, I guess, that I don’t indulge in Mexican food very often. But tough times call for desperate measures and I was lightheaded and hungry from a hard go at the gym. I was initially impressed with a simple to read menu and surprised by their low prices. A quick scan and I decided on a Tamale plate. For $ 4 I got two Tamales: one chicken with red sauce and the other jalapeño with cheese, and rice and beans(I opted for all beans since I’m not a huge fan of rice and she obliged with a smile). I paired it with a chapurrado for my sweet tooth and I was good to go. The tamales were pretty good. Not excellent but not a deterrent. I would probably want to try something else when I go back.(Notice I said ‘when’ and not ‘if’) the beans were good with enough cheese to be generous but not enough to make me run to the bathroom. The champurrado was classic. Thick the way it should be and spiced perfectly. My BF chose the Menudo and two tacos. Menudo included a HUGE bowl of red menudo with fixings on the side(as requested) and two regular sized(as opposed to street taco size) tacos with choice of red, green, or pico de gallo salsa. He noted that everything was pretty good.(He doesn’t go into much detail… Ever… Lol) The restaurant is small and by no means fancy. But the lady at the register(who I later learned was the owner) was nice, and the food was good. Check it out and Support your local hole in the wall spot. At the very least it’s the perfect place to grab a good, cheap snack on the go.

The best deal has got to be the street tacos at 2 for .99 cents! And, coming from a sit down restaurant, that is even better! TIP: Cash Only! If you don’t have cash, there is an ATM in there for you… I’m sure there’s a fee, but at least you’ll be able to eat! My husband picked these up from the restaurant and a group of us ate these at another location. They packaged the tacos on paper plates and placed each plate in a bag. Then, they were stacked up and bagged, ready to carry out. Nice and compact and easier to carry! We had one taco of every type… Barbacoa, Carne Asada, Carnitas, Chile Verde, and Pollo. We also had fish tacos, but those are priced at a dollar each, which is still good. All the tacos were yummy! They put cabbage & onions on all their tacos, which is a bit different from what we are used to. It was a nice change of pace. They gave us 3 types of salsa, they were a blended red salsa, a verde salsa, and a pico de gallo. All were so tasty and a great complement to the tacos! We also got tortilla chips. We had more than enough! We got horchata as well. I liked it a lot! It is nice and smooth. When you get to the sediment, it is really thick and kind of unpleasant. It would be even better without it. Remember to smile because of the good deal you got on those tacos, and because you’re on camera(surveillance). Next time, I hope to eat my food in the restaurant.

Amazing! The tacos, sope’s and burritos are so delicious. The carnitas and Asada are so yummy. I can’t get enough of this place. The smiling face taking my order is a plus. Great job!

Grabbed a quick to go order to take to the harbor, food was excellent. We ordered street tacos, chips/salsa, sodas and a shrimp burro. Made several changes/requests and the staff was awesome about it, very friendly and accommodating. Everything was cooked to order and delicious. Whole dinner cost about $ 20-great deal!

I never get anything besides the 2 for $ 1 street tacos. They are absolutely delicious and for that price, you can’t beat it. Oh they only take cash but there is an atm inside. Fyi, they rotate a choice of 3 options each day for the 2 for $ 1 deal so it’s not always the same day to day, which is still pretty good. I’ve found myself going back quite often. A favorite for tacos.

Oh my goodness, words can’t describe how good this place is! And cheap, so so cheap! Its fast and delicious, I drive an hour in traffic just to come here. Its that good! Not a lot of parking or places to sit, but the flavor makes up for it. Cash only, so bring your money ready to eat! She has an atm, but those machines charge you to take out money, so it’s smarter to bring cash. The tacos de chicharrón are so good, and tbe chorizo tacos are to die for. And the carnitas, don’t even get me started, I’m Cuban, so pork is a big deal, and this lady nailed it. So impressed, if you’re in the area, stop by, you’ll be glad you did!

Okay. I thought this was a hole in the wall fast food taco spot and was pleasantly surprised to see they are a real all homemade mexican food joint. Come on, two tacos for 99 cent. fish tacos 2 for $ 1.50. Little money lots of good food. Problem, very little seating and take out people are waiting in chairs. Great great great.

Great deal, I preferred the pork tacos to the beef. I also like the green sauce more than the red. I will definitely be coming back

This place needs more credit and reviews for the quality, cleanliness and CHEAP tacos. Really, this location really bumps out most of the delicious greasy dirty mexican food truck taco competition in a much cleaner, prepared environment while STILL withholding that delicious taste of mexican street tacos! 2 regular meat tacos for $ 0.99!!! How can you possibly beat that?! Or how about 2 fish tacos for $ 1.50, 2 enchiladas queso for $ 1.50 or speciality tacos such as amazing al pastor or carne asada? The tacos come loaded with cabbage, lime and your choice of fresh salsas For a quick, cheap bite that doesn’t include a non hygienic food stall outside in the hot weather, come here for lunch!(located right next to the Sprint store and Chevron off Gaffey Street)
