We come to Paso Robles every year and this is always our first stop. We fell in love with their exceptional wines and keep coming back every year to a great selection and a warm welcoming atmosphere. The drive out here is stunning, through rolling hills and vineyards. There is no pretense about this place — every employee there wants to give you a great tasting experience. This is a small vineyard(that still picks their grapes by hand) and turns out exceptional wine year after year.

Exceptional winery kind of off the beaten path. Darren was amazing and we had such a good time going through the tastings. The port is a must buy! So fantastic! Definitely worth a stop on the east side

This was one of the stops on a wine tasting weekend, my first time ever going wine tasting. With that in mind, I found this vineyard was really welcoming and accessible. I felt comfortable and not out of my league, especially because of the friendly service we had from Darren. The wines are also wonderful, and the tasting flight was a full 10 wines when we went. I am a fan of sweet wine, so I ended up getting a bottle of Deliverance— phenomenal. Fun and non-pretentious atmosphere, knowledgable and inviting staff, amazing wine. Definitely my favorite stop on our trip, I look forward to coming back.

Worth the trip out to the winery. It is a long way away from the other more visited wineries. Beautiful grounds. Of course you have to get the story about the naming of the winery. Decent line-up of wines. We loaded up on 2014 Tombstone White @ $ 18.00/bottle. There are samples of BBQ sauce and jellies around the tasting room. They even have a wine that tastes like Tootsie Rolls. Not kidding one bit. I do like their mantra Graveyard Vineyards — «Wine To Die For!»

Fun place, very friendly and knowledgable service. Really liked the Graveyard Paso Tombstone Red. My friend thought they should punch up the graveyard theme a bit more but overall it was fun with great tasting wine. Tastings are fairly priced and per custom(in Paso at least) are comped when you make a bottle purchase.

The wines were good & moderately priced. You get a LOT of tastings for their $ 10 fee. If you are coming here for a «Graveyard» theme… meh. They kind of half-assed it. In my opinion if you name your vineyard Graveyard(because of the small graveyard at the bottom of their driveway) you are going to: #1 turn off some people who are not into the macabre and so therefore #2 you should capitalize on the people(like us) who came here simply for the name and the idea that there might be a «theme» happening. A few skulls, a coffin you can take pictures while standing in, and a skeleton outside are about it. IMHO they are missing out on an opportunity! However, we thoroughly enjoyed the wine — the reds especially were good. If you are into port, the Decadence is like drinking a Tootsie Pop — yummy! Cabernet Frank took good care of us behind the bar. We spent a pleasant hour or so lingering over our tastings by the fireplace and would definitely go back if we were in town again.

My boyfriend and I were in town visiting friends for NYE weekend and decided to do some wine tasting on New Years. Of course most places were closed, but we were sent here on a recommendation from Tobin James complete with a 10% off wine certificate(yay!). They talked up the graveyard/Day of the Dead theme so much that I thought it would be much more apparent than it was. I was a little disappointed with the décor actually. Pros: $ 10 wine tasting fee waived with the purchase of a bottle of wine(we’re from Southern California and our Temecula Valley wineries always charge unless you’re a member, and very few waive it with the purchase of a bottle of wine). The setting is very secluded and beautiful. The pond is quaint. You can walk around the real graveyard at the bottom of the hill. Cons: They’re pretty proud of their wine, if you know what I mean. It is good wine, but I think they’re priced a little high. I expect more at that price-point per bottle. The theme is not as obvious and fun as you would think. The coffin box for wine(that costs extra) is cardboard, I would have paid for it if it was made of wood and would last. Pours aren’t that generous. We did purchase 2 bottles because, hey, since we’re used to being charged for tastings we really just looked at the bottles as costing $ 10 less than they are it made them a lot more reasonable. My boyfriend wanted their Viognier, and I got their dessert wine that is infused with chocolate(this is a MUST for any chocolate lover). I would have liked a third bottle(I liked a few of their reds), but I couldn’t justify the price. If you’re a huge chocolate lover I’d say go here and try it, planning on your tasting fee going towards a bottle of their chocolate dessert wine. If you’re not, maybe just go to the graveyard at the bottom of the hill and skip the tasting.

One of our very favorite wineries. Join the Skeleton Key Club and you become more than just a member… you are part of the family. Thanks for the wonderful Halloween party last night! We are going to make it our new Halloween tradition! Looking forward to the bay cruise with Graveyard and many more opportunities to make great memories enjoying the great Graveyard wines! Cute themed winery! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I won’t point the owners dog came in and he was huge yet friendly. Tasting begins at $ 10 for any or all wine on their list. They allow you to start wherever you want on the list. Staff is not pushy they informed us that this was our wine tasting and not theirs. The $ 10 for the tasting can be towards a purchase if you decide to pick up a bottle. It’s a small winery locally owned. They do not distribute anywhere. So it’s quite exclusive? Personally I’m not a fan of port wines. However, their dessert port wine taste like Cherry cordial which was super delicious and I couldn’t pass up so I definitely had to pick up a bottle!

We were recommended here by another winery, and it was the best recommendation of the weekend. This place charges a $ 10pp tasting fee,(waived with bottle purchase). The fee allows you to taste all 11 wines on menu. They have decent pours Customer service is also fantastic. The team all get along and create a positive atmosphere for the guests. My sommelier even asked me if I wanted to revisit any of the whites before I moved on to the reds. Brownie points for that! I will definitely be back the next time I’m in the area. And so should you!

We are their newest members! As soon as we walked in we felt the wonderful vibe. Erik is a charmer, and a perfect addition to your pouring family. DJ and Viviana are professional and add to the fun atmosphere. We didn’t get to chat with Cab Frank, but hope to during our next visit– we did see you drive away in your rockin MG! Great job with your wines Jason, we hope to meet you as well.

Stopped by while checking Paso Robles vineyards. The pond and hilltop views were wonderful and the delicious & unique chocolate port«Deliverance» came home with us. The host was knowledgeable, friendly and winery nice, pet friendly, but food pairing or at least snacks for the kids would have been a nice addition to our visit.

I allow myself one wine club membership & it’s this place. It’s been my club for years & it’s consistently been really good which I attribute to Jason Bushong the wine maker.(I believe you find winemakers who have similar taste to yours & follow them) They have really good wines at a reasonable price & you get to pick your bottles in the wine club Shipments. The People are nice, it has a pleasant tasting room, & it’s a nice place for a Picnic. Surprise tip: Try their Dry Rub seasoning it’s Great.

This place is just fantastic. I had a welcome party for my wedding weekend here and Paula and the Graveyard team were perfect hosts. We had a live piano player entertain guests while they poured their award winning wines and we watched the sun set over their beautiful pond and property. I can’t wait to go back. We loved every wine that we tasted, and their chocolate dessert wine is something you can’t pass up. I’d definitely recommend tasting here, and I’d also highly recommend contacting them if you have a private event and are looking for the perfect Paso location.

Quite liked this place. We went on a Saturday and unfortunately ended up in the middle of a crowd despite the remote location. For us, location was perfect because it was on the way to the house we had rented for the weekend. We almost walked out due to the crowds, but decided to stay. Very glad we did. The owner was serving the wines and despite the crowds was able to serve us fairly promptly and even chat a bit. I can’t remember how much the wine tasting itself cost, but I remember thinking that it was very reasonable considering the number of pours you receive. The wines were very good in general. There were a couple I didn’t like so much, notably I wouldn’t recommend the chocolate-infused port at the end. It tasted like a tootsie roll. I like tootsie rolls but not when I’m drinking port. The sherry on the other hand was one of the best I’ve ever tasted, although I don’t have too much to compare it too(we usually end up drinking ports and sweet whites for dessert wines). Another standout was the white he served in the beginning. I regret to say that I don’t remember the variety, I’m thinking it was a Grenache Blanc. Excellent wine though. We were kind of wined out at this point, so didn’t opt to buy any wines. If we had visited this winery our first day, we almost certainly would have bought either the white or the sherry.

Based on the Unilocal reviews we decide to make this our first stop in Paso. With a lake and dog-friendly tasting room(yes, they have treats) we were sold. Cabernet Frank and Paula were lovely and Darren with the cool hat who poured for us was really awesome as well. They spent a lot of time with everyone being served… from wine club members to people just passing through. We were also really impressed with the wines which were a total bargain! They are famous for their Paso Tombstone Red which is delicious and the Deliverance(a chocolate port) that I had to get. Port + Chocolate= pretty much my two favorite things EVER. Mortal Zin was also a favorite. The view is awesome and they have tables outside to enjoy a picnic. I loved the theme with the little coffin wine boxes, «wines to die for» and names like«tombstone red» …plus the actual little graveyard on the drive up.

Wonderful small family run winery just E of Paso Robles. Yes, there is a graveyard just at the entrance to this place. Hence the name. But forget about the dead bodies, focus on the awesome wine. They make delicious whites and reds including a few blends. The tasting was a lot of fun with one of the owners. She and her husband bought the place and originally intended to just grow grapes. But they met a neighbor winemaker and hit it off just right. Now, they make great wine. The list of wines to try is long so be prepared. Several white and red blends. Also includes a lot of award winning wines and its easy to see why. If you don’t become a member, no worries, they will ship to you anyway if you need that graveyard wine fix. Go ahead and give them a try.
