Why doesn’t Windoor have a bunch of great reviews? Don custom-​made solar screens to go over my upper greenhouse windows. My next door neighbor had them and said they were only $ 650 (this is a «ceiling» of windows). These gorgeous screens replaced custom Duettes that were $ 5000 12 years ago, and I should have done this in the beginning. They look great, service was outstanding, Don had them installed in 15 minutes. I cannot recommend this company enough. If you need screens, these are your guys.

We have lived in Belmont for 40 years and started going to Windoor for screen repairs. Over the years Windoor has installed every window covering in our house except one which Don repaired so we could continue using. This is a long time family business in San Mateo. Don is the son of the first owner we knew.
Don and his wife Lisa now own the business. Don has many years of experience design consulting in your home. There is so much to choose from in window coverings, and he quickly helps you clarify your needs and narrow possibilities down to a few choices. Then you keep the samples for a day to view in daylight and artificial light. The details of the ordering process are done accurately. The installation is performed on time (shock after usually waiting for hours for contractors to show up), quickly and carefully.
When our daughter moved into a new condo in San Francisco last year she experienced all the positive factors mentioned above. She is currently selling the condo and two of the blinds had cord malfunctions. With no questions asked, Don responded quickly, returned the blinds to the manufacturer and had them reinstalled in just 3 days.
One word of caution: if you walked by the store you would not be impressed… it’s small… not a fancy showroom. I promise you: once you experience the professionalism on Windoor Service, you will never want to go anywhere else for window shade purchase or repairs.
