I recently had knee replacement surgery and was seen by Jenny Chapman for home PT and Toni DeLoura for home OT from this company. Both of these caregivers went above and beyond their job descriptions to give me exceptional, personalized care. Jenny was the bright spot during my initial days post-op — she was always encouraging and supportive. Toni repeatedly went way out of her way to creatively help me with various problems I was having. Both of these clinicians exceeded my expectations and exemplified truly caring compassion. I was so impressed with these two — their can-do attitude and willingness to find solutions made a difference in my recovery. I was very satisfied with this company and highly recommend them for home health therapy.

After doing some research on vendors that provide in-home physical therapy, I luckily found Rehab At Home. Why am I looking for this… you may ask? It’s very difficult to transport my father in and out of his wheelchair, as well as maneuver him from house to hospital for therapy. We tried going to Stanford in Palo Alto, but this venue was not particularly accommodating to my father. Not because they were evil, but because they did not focus on patients who lacked basic movement capabilities. Subsequently, they suggested we try other in-home vendors, provided a list, and sent us on our merry way. Rehab At Home was just the vendor we were looking for. They focus on restoring quality of life through their rehab-focused home health services. As I found out, they work with the patient, family and doctor to devise a plan that tackles the management of the disability or illness. Moreover, the goal(if possible) is to get the patient back to being independent and«mobile.» With my dad, we were lucky to have the following available to us: speech therapist occupational therapist/case manager physical therapist home nurse aid social worker During this 6 – 8 week period, my dad was treated like a super star. He was given a multitude of services. He received exercises, speech therapy, help getting in an out of bed, help showering, educational help on transferring from chair to chair, and resources regarding a living will, and other providers within the community. My favorite of all the therapists was Jerry. She was so loving and caring to my father. Loved her accent, and she always managed to walked in with a smile, and leave my father with a smile. We were super hungry for support, and Jerry was always there to provide what she could. She even managed to make my dad feel«safe.» My favorite home health aide was Laila. Wow… she was a Filipino rock-star that truly helped with his bathing. She was so friendly… and never got wet when bathing my father. She was great! Overall, I was very satisfied with the«plan of attack.» Due to his condition, and insurance support, my father no longer receives the assistance. Like therapy, it’s only transitional and meant to get you from point A to point B. We were sad to see our team go, but was happy they brought a wealth of knowledge to us. Again, i can’t be mad that they stopped coming. because it’s insurance politico.
