We decided to have our daughter’s 4th birthday party at DoArtLab. Our little girl loves doing art projects and we wanted to support our local business, so this seemed like a good fit for the party. Chloe the owner came up with a couple different projects for the kids to choose from. They were kind of like mixed-media projects designed for a little kid’s abilities, so they could do the project mostly by themselves, but weren’t so easy they were boring. Chloe even apparently tested the projects on some other studio visitors of a similar age to make sure they worked and were fun, and I think she hit mostly the right balance. The three teachers also helped with the setup and tear down at the end. The kids had a great time doing the projects and the teachers were really good about engaging the kids and helping them along the way. A 1.5 hr art project is a little long even for a patient 4 year old though, so some of the kids had to take a little break and run around for a little bit. Most of them eventually finished their projects. In the end I was really happy with the art the kids made and I think every kid got to bring something home with them. I asked my daughter if she had fun and she said she’d like to go back for one of the classes or open studios at the DoArtLab. So we will likely return soon.

Our kids have so much fun here. They’ve been here for art classes a few times and worked on some fun, engaging projects. Great location and easy parking. Wish I had this when I was a kid!

As a mother of two boys, a birthday party at an art studio never crossed my mind until i tried Doartlab. My boys have been taking summer classes and open studio classes here and they have been huge fans ever since. Unlike other art studios, Doartlab provides a variety of programs besides drawing and painting. They do a lot of 3D art projects using recyclable materials which my boys can’t get enough of. They come home and start digging through all our recyclables and try to imitate what they learned in class. It becomes a huge mess most of the time and i have realized this is something they need to do at an art studio and not at home. We recently had a birthday party for my son at Doartlab and it was a huge hit. Chloe, the owner asked my son to pick out a theme and she really went in to depth researching and came up with a brilliant idea. All the kids loved their project and got to take it home. I don’t think we would’ve needed to prepare a goodie bag! I think art classes can be often neglected during the busy school year, but i have realized that it can mentally challenge children in a different way. The owner, Chloe is super creative and really encourages her students to think outside the box. Through art, children are solving challenges and coming up with new ways to handle unexpected outcomes and I think Doartlab provides an excellent program for this.

My sons went to a birthday party here and had a blast! The owner, Chloe, was very hands-on with the art projects and made sure to spend time with each child. She is very good with children(she has three of her own)! Everything was prepared so well, as each child had their own bag of supplies to use. Chloe was very supportive and encouraging, but in a gentle, kind manner. The space is very well-lit and welcoming with lots of art projects on the wall and bountiful supplies on the tables. You can tell a lot of love went into creating this space! We will definitely be returning!
