This is a great place to take your kids for any kind of music lesson. Currently both my kids are taking piano lessons. We started since they opened their Huntington location and we just love it! Our drive is about 30 minutes but it is worth every minute! They have various recitals throughout the year and they do a great job organizing it so the recitals are short and sweet that students are able to enjoy other student performances and not be overwhelmed by too many performers. The instructors are also every good about giving parents a recap on how the child did in the lesson and what they need to work on for next time.

San Marino Music Center is THEBEST. Both of my children take piano here, my 4 year old is typical and my 7 year old has special needs. They both love their teachers and they are always excited to go to class. If you have a child with special needs, you really can not find a better music therapy program. They offer private lessons and have now started a group music therapy class. Mr. Patrick is so good with my son, and he’s really learning to play piano and read music. The pricing is really great, and the studio is in a cute area of San Marino with lots of stores to look around in while your child is in class.

I’m loving the ambience, the tuition fee is definitely affordable and kids loving instructor. Can you ask for more? They even rent the instrument for a really good price. So not to worry about owning one. Another thing… Good location with easy parking access!

My son has been taking lessons at this school since the spring, and this new location is just great! Everyone at San Marino Music has been very helpful and willing to work around whatever schedule bumps and roadblocks you throw at them.

I have mixed feelings about this place. At first, I was super excited. I wanted(as an adult) to take some sort of instrument lessons. The location was perfect for me(in San Marino at Mission and Los Robles) and I walked in and looked at the options. I signed up for an introductory lesson in violin, Ukelele, and piano. It was a bit tough to get an evening class. The earliest they could arrange was 6pm. As I tend to leave work late in DTLA, 6pm is near impossible for me. However, I tried and attended the three lessons. I loved the violin and piano! I also really liked the instructors. I’m over the Ukelele :) I was super excited about continuing each of my lessons for another month, then had an annoying experience with a lady(who I assume was the owner) who said that now that my intro courses were over, that I needed to «rent» the piano and violin(which they had in studio for people to use) every time I came back for future lessons. Maybe had she said it differently, like… Oh I’m so sorry they didn’t tell you, but these are your options for getting you set up for next time. But she was kind of rude about it so much so that instead of purchasing my lessons, I walked out without signing up for anything. All in all, I loved my instructors and the instruments, and I’ll work on finding a violin somewhere on the cheap so I don’t have to rent anything. I’ll come back later.
