So disappointed in their treatment. They offered me $ 40 for a gold mans ring with 4 diamonds. Said THEDIAMONDSWEREINDUSTRIAL and would break if they removed them. Said that gold prices were way down. They insulted me on other things I brought so I left. Today I sold the ring to a gold buyer for $ 120 and they gave me the diamonds without them shattering. they don’t buy less than half carat so I took the diamonds. I will put them in something for me.

I too disagree with one of the reviews. There is someone that has always answered their phone. In fact, he even forwards his calls to his mobile number whenever he’s not in the store. I made an appointment, since I had numerous coins. I have also called him to find out if I could just stop by to have a few items appraised. He gives FREE appraisals! That in itself is AWESOME. I went to the store to see what he would give to me for my coins. He started off right at the start giving us a page of all the valuable coins. This way I would know ahead of time as to whether or not that a specific coin was/wasn’t rare. Instead of the FAST appraisal that I received from 3 other coin stores, he actually looked at the coins. The others just pointed out that one page of coins would be $_____. Since I had non-US coins he took the time to look at what the coin would be worth. The other coin stores just gave me a value of the coin without even looking at the origin/date/weight of the coin. He on the other hand took the time to look at the quality of the coins, and stated why one coin was worth more than another. He then saved me money by telling me that it is best to use PCGS when there are no scratches on the coin, otherwise PCGS might say the coin was genuine without a grading. There’s no telling how much money he saved me. I would HIGHLY recommend the store. He’s filled with knowledge. His store has more than just coins.

I thought my review would make a nice counter-balance to this other. Miracle Mile Coin Center has been around forever, and I have been dealing with them for almost as long. They do not usually do walk-in retail business, so if you have some coins you would like looked at, and you do not know the family, I suggest making an appointment — the phone number has remained the same over the years. If you do go to the storefront(as opposed to the 2D store on eBay), you will find that their employees are very knowledgeable and the owners are honest. [The commenter who said the employee they spoke with didn’t have the expertise or authority to purchase their stuff, must have just been frustrated with not getting what they expected, when they expected it. How could I know what said employee knows? For one thing, since the interwebs came along — everyone knows what they have, even the first time seller, which is great. For another thing, values are printed weekly in CoinWorld, the daily bread for any numismatist.] For me, honesty has alway been the most important quality, because having dealt with many other dealers, honesty is the most rare and valuable attribute. Also, they do not just deal in coins. My experience with them has been with mostly other goods, including selected types of jewelry, antiques and items that have raw material value. Their purchasing division, Miracle Mile Estate Buyers, travels widely and returns to the same location near me from time to time. They have bought many collectable items from me, and I, in turn, have traveled to the store occasionally to buy from them. Many of their collectables are also sold through eBay, and these ratings are also trust inspiring: So stop in for friendly inquiries, but call first for deals.

Conveniently located on beautiful Huntington Drive in San Marino, Miracle Mile Coin Center is a complete waste of time. The owner is rarely there, and the guy behind the counter has no authority to make any transactions. He’s eager to assist you by providing numismatic information that is often wrong. If you need to make an appointment, you can call the store and leave a message, and your call will probably never be returned. For more information, you can visit their website, which was last updated in the year 2000.
