Not a fan. The guy taking the order seemed a little confused as to his job. told me it was going to be about 30 minutes. after 45 minutes calls me and tells me they have run out of one of the ingredients I ordered and tells me they’ll substitute it for free, as if it’s doing me a favor on my already $ 20 pizza. Pizza shows up after another 30 minutes(total 1 hr. 15 min.), the delivery driver had the audacity to tell me «That was a pretty quick delivery, huh?!» Then the pizza taste pretty terrible. Very unimpressed. With all of the other options in town, will not be ordering here again.

The wings were good; not too much sauce, good burn, ranch supplied without asking. My problem is the little bolillo of a meatball sub I got this time. 2⁄3 the size of last time for the same price and even though is was smaller the bread wasn’t as toasty. Last time it was four whole meatballs long! This time *maybe* three, and the balls were split in half to fit the tiny sub. Check out my previous pic to compare. It tasted good, but when you are splitting it between two people and find one time it’s a meal and the next time it’s a snack? Just like the pizza bread – I want some consistency, please!

I ordered a calzone and onion rings. The calzone was a lukewarm, greasy mess with unmelted cheese. The ricotta was clumped in a big ball which made eating difficult. Every time I took a bite, grease just poured down my hands– completely unacceptable. On the positive side, the onion rings were good. Slightly soft but cohesive, and there were no rings without onion. Satisfactory. It’s not enough for me to want to order from them ever again. «A taste of Chicago?» That’s insulting.

Really good pizza for a really good price! I’ve had pizza from Sunnys a bunch of times and honestly have never been disappointed. Fresh ingredients sauce taste great and cheese and toppings are good as well. We love this place and if you haven’t been there then what are you waiting for.

Delicious pizza for an awesome price! Medium pepperoni pizza for approx $ 6. They’re really fast too and perfect for people that live on Ranch Rd and don’t want to drive across town :)

This establishment’s top priority is clearly customer happiness and approval. Every time I’ve ordered food from here, the food has been of great quality with an exceptionally nice staff member to help, whether it be my delivery driver or the cashier in the store. This place is a small business, being attached to a gas station, which is my kind of place to get food at. They offer good food at good prices with a friendly staff to help you.

If I could give no stars I would. The worst pizza I have ever had in my life which pizza is pretty hard to mess up. Not a picky eater but I couldn’t even get it down. Waited 45 minutes for it to be delivered– we only ordered one pizza and the location was 2 miles away. The shrimp on the pizza tasted so fishy I thought I was going to be sick. Drove the pizza back to get a refund… Walking into the place it was filthy. Please do not order from here.

Please give this awesome place a try! Everything I’ve tried has been awesome. The Hawaiian Pizza is yummy, the pasta and especially the sauce is really tasty, Italian beef sandwich is a definite favorite. Really friendly service and the portion size makes most plates a great deal. Use these coupons people!

We got a flyer for this place in the mail and had not heard of it before… now wishing I had come to Unilocal first to read reviews… First they told us they didn’t offer an item on the menu anymore after some confusion on what we were trying to order. It was for a large cheesy bread by the way. It’s on their flyer menu and their menu online. Why put out a menu for items you don’t even offer anymore? Then they put us on hold to «go to another phone» to process our payment. When they finally picked back up the guy on the phone sounded irritated and gave a whole spiel about their credit card machine being slow and that was why they had to put us on hold… and then they took our credit card information. Okay, a little unorganized but no big deal. Moving on. We’re told it’s going to be a 45 minute delivery wait. That’s about usual for this town. Ten minutes go by and they call us to take our credit card information again. We give it to them and it’s another guy on the phone this time also explaining the credit card machines are slow. Another hour goes by and the delivery driver gets here. GREAT guy, totally putting on a happy face out in the cold. Except he’s missing a third of our order. No telling if it’s his fault or not but we let him know. He says he will bring another one as soon as he gets back. Meanwhile we dive in and the pizza is GREAT! Tons of flavor, piping hot, fresh, cooked to perfection. Over an hour goes by, just as I’m about to dial to just cancel the item the same delivery guy knocks on our door and he’s obviously pretty irritated but hey, he’s got the rest of the delivery. I would be irritated to if I had a nice chunk of my income be based on delivery tips and I’m going to the same house twice in one night to fix an order. The missing item he brought was cold. It was an item meant to be served hot. It was cold. Not warm, not lukewarm, not cool. Cold. We call back and immediately get put on hold. After being put on hold two more times during the call they offer to bring the item out again. I decline, because who wants dinner to take three hours? They offer to credit us for the item on our next order. So now you probably see why I wish we came to Unilocal first. Delivery times being reasonable, organization and customer service? Noooooooot happening at this place folks. Delicious pizza though? Nailed it The next time(because heck we have to order again to use the item credit since refunding my card wasn’t an option) we’ll go for pick-up and pay with cash unless the plan is to eat in 3 hours.

Great place for pizza, wings, sandwiches or whatever you need! Can’t go wrong here! Staff is friendly even though it is comprised almost entirely of students.

Just ate there today and got 2 pieces into my pan crust pizza to realize my next slice was stating to pull down… the dough wasn’t cooked all the way through and I’m hoping the pieces I already ate were just luckily done enough not to notice… I’m really sad because it tasted great. If you’re going to have a pizza joint please learn how to make your pizza. I hope I don’t barf…

I’ve been living in san Marcos for a while now, and just now tried Sunny’s and it was amazing! The crust and the sauce was great and he service was very friendly! Will definitely be returning for their pies again

Laughable service if I weren’t hungry for waiting 3 hours, being hung up on, being told to call back, being told it was on the way, and finally being told the order doesn’t exist.

Ordered and waited two hours for delivery. When we called to check on it we were told they forgot. We said never mind, please void it out. We got charged anyway and are getting the runaround on how we are going to get our money back.

Love this place. Its a small place right next to a gas station so some people overlook it. There is no dine it, just carryout and delivery. Whenever I have ordered pizza from sunnys they always put so much cheese and meat and just make it so darn delicious. It beats papa johns, pizza hut, dominos, everything. The price is average, nothing spectacular, but you won’t regret eating here. I would recommend Sunnys pizza to a friend.

The pizza here is actually pretty good. Its a tiny place that has nowhere to sit and eat so its strictly take out or delivery. I actually prefer their pizza to Zen’s which seems to be popular, I just wish they would put down more sauce on the pie. I also loved how when I called and placed my order, he replies with, «give me 15 minutes.» No need for taking down info or anything, that’s how small they are.

Since the departure of Pizza Classics from the San Marcos pizza scene, Sunny’s has become my go-to place for delivery. They offer good sandwiches and pizza for a decent price. ***Disclaimer*** I have never been inside Sunny’s…ever. This review is based solely on their delivery service and the food they have brought me. That being said, let’s get into their food. Sunny’s offers a decent amount of hot and cold sandwiches. I would say«The Chief» is their best sandwich. It’s an Italian beef, topped with copious amounts of mozzarella cheese on a piece of french bread. I would recommend paying the additional .50 cents and getting any sandwich on garlic bread. As far as other sandwiches, the chicken parm and the meatball are also good options. As far as pizza go, I usually opt for the«recession buster» deal of a medium pepperoni pizza for $ 5.99. Great deal for a pretty decent pizza. The medium will usually fill me up and they are pretty tasty. The S.O.B.(Sausage, Onion, Bacon) is a great way to go if you have the extra change to spend. Delivery is only $ 2.00 so getting a medium pepperoni pizza and 2 sodas sent to your house only runs you $ 10.50. Not too shabby at all if you ask me! The delivery times are very consistent, nothing spectacular, they usually quote me 45 minutes and they show up right at their quoted time most of the time. As far as side items I can only speak for two, the french fries and the garlic bread. The garlic bread is amazing, especially when you add melted mozzarella cheese to it! The french fries are not so amazing. They are generic bag fries and they never cook them long enough as they always come soggy and mushy. I wish they would either cook them longer or switch to a less generic fry, maybe homemade potato, who knows. All in all I like this place and I give them my business quite often. I wish they would improve their quality a little but consistency is something I praise and consistent is one thing Sunny’s offers in spades!

Sunny’s Pizza is great if you live on Ranch Road 12 and don’t want to cruise all the way into San Marcos. The pizza is so so but way better than any corporate chains. Plus your helping out th elittle man when you grub down. By the way this place is take out only and don’t expect them to finish cooking your pizza early.
