San Marcos Bakery

Flan was not bad. Breads ok. Twice I bought cookies and they tasted off. I don t know if they are stale or the oil is rancid, and think maybe it is the later. The place is hot and oil gets rancid if not kept in a cool place. Thought I would give them another chance after the first bad batch, but not going back.

We aren’t a cake kind of family but we have been coming here for years for their beautiful and delicious pastries. They always have such a nice variety to choose from. They have always been very friendly and it is always a pleasure to do business with them.

Went to pick up a birthday cake we ordered for a special B-​Day celebration and they couldn’t find the order. We paid for part of it (thank goodness not the entire cake) in advance, picked out the design, the flavors, the special frosting, etc., went there to pick it up, to find they had no idea where our order was and never made the cake.
DO NOT ORDER from this bakery. They ruined that part of the birthday since we didn’t have enough time to get a new cake made and had to settle for a flavor we really didn’t care for just so we could walk out with some sort of cake for the birthday party.
Extremely disappointing. Will never go back and want to warn others so they don’t have the same misfortune happen to them.
