The carne asada and chicken marinates are delicious! The salsas are delicious too. The people that work there are so nice and friendly! And on Mother’s Day they gave all moms a beautiful rose!

What a fantastic little market. This place is no where close to where I live in Carlsbad but to be honest, I will drive here and go out of my despite their being 1 – 2 other carniceria’s close to my place. They have all of the delicious meats, pork and chicken you will find at other places but their service has been exceptional, incredibly friendly and the prices are the best I have seen anywhere. I really had a fantastic experience here. They were out of Pico de Gallo one day and one of the girls there got the guys to make a fresh batch just for me while I watched and waited. They even gave me a fresh made«HOT» tortilla with cheese while I was waiting. Out of their way, friendly, terrific service and food.

I lived in Jacksonville, Florida for five years so I know what it feels like to not have a Mexican market on every corner, and its a horrible thing. Anyways back to present day, THIS is my closest MexiMart. The name has changed to Patron’s but its the same. You can get fruit treats, fresh juices and horchata and premade foods in the front. Then you have the market itself which is small but has basics, in the back you can get meat from the butcher or hot and made to order food to go. Its all BUENO!

This place sucks– asked for Tri Tip and they gave me CHUCK. Went back to complain and he told me «oh you do know about meat cuts” — admitting he sold me something wrong. No apology, no refund, no NOTHING. His name was Severo. Asked for tri-tip again and THREE of the meat guys behind the counter didn’t know what I was asking. I don’t know what does tri-tip translates in Spanish, but you would think they would be familiar to hear tri-tip??? Stay away from this place… Or if you end up buying here, check your meat twice before leaving…

Rodeo’s came out to cater a birthday party last weekend. While the food was awesome, we ran out of food! We ordered food for 75 people. About 63 people came, and out of those, 3 were toddlers, and 8 were under the under the age of 13. Last time I had them, they continued to cook carne asada for about 2 hours and had plenty of chicken and adobada to last the party. This time, they cooked up their carne asada and did not cook anymore — we were out of carne asada before everyone had a chance to go through the line. Shortly thereafter, we ran out of rice and chicken. This was a huge disappointment and unfortunately, I will not consider using them for catering again. We thought if 65 came(and 11 of those were children), that ordering for 75 would ensure we had enough food. Definitely not the case.

Note: This review is strictly for their taco catering service. I had the opportunity to hire Rodeos for my wife’s graduation party at a local park. Not being able to speak Spanish, it was definitely tough to place the order at the store, but I managed. They required a minimum of 50 heads($ 8.99/ person) for 3 hours of service. The menu choices include 2 types of meat, with 1 type of drink & dessert. On the day of event two men showed up 45 minutes before the official setup time. They brought with them 4 types of meat(Carne Asada, Carnitas, Chicken, & Barbacoa) &2 different drinks at no extra charge. Overall, the food tasted great & all the guests had a great time. I would recommend their service for anyone looking to hire taco men for their parties.

Rodeos catered a 30th birthday party I had for my husband and they were absolutely AMAZING!!! They set up a full service taco bar and the food was so good! Everyone at the party loved the food and the caterers were very polite and friendly. If you are looking for an awesome caterer I would highly recommend Rodeos. Not to mention their pricing is very reasonable.

Ive tried the burritos: carne asada(with & without the rice/beans inside the burrito) Dont forget to say you want rice & beans inside b/c otherwise… its just TOO much meat. Never thought i’d say that but yea. Or you can buy it likethat & take it home & use that to eat from for a few days. Literally. The MOLE burrito/or combo is the best I’ve tasted coast 2 coast. The Carnitas taco & chicken taco were so good. The menudo was just ehhhh. not very good @ all to be honest. but ive only tried it once. The Posole was very good though. I can honestly say there’s nothing ive ordered that i didnt like except the menudo & The red chile. Has a bitter aftertaste. & Be sure to say no onion if u dont like it. My bf’s burrito was chuck full & I’ve nick named him«cebolla» ever since. This place is always full of clients & that’s how you know its a good place to eat. ps its not a restaurant. its a meat market. & you can buy uncooked & cooked food. Awesome food!!! All authentic mexican food & delicious!

GREAT carne asada burrito for $ 4.99! Since it is a meat market, the carne asada is SUPER fresh and delicious. They grill it up for you right then and there. They’re very generous with the meat, and it’s no frills with just cilantro and onion & a jalapeño on the side. The aguas frescas at the front counter are delish too(the arroz is my fave). I’m so glad I live near it, but get there before 7 because they stop cooking after then. I’ve also had the torta, and it’s yummy too!
