New World Workshop

There are lots of places to take your car in San Marcos. Everyone in my family and my friends all go to New World Workshop. I’ve never met more honest and hard working guys. They have never charged me to diagnose a problem (unless they have to tear the car apart) and when they fix it, you know it was done right and they didn’t over charge you. They’re more than willing to answer even the dumbest questions I can ask, and never lose patience.

I don’t know much about cars. If you’re tired of feeling ripped off at mechanic’s shops (either because you’re charged too much or because they didn’t actually fix the problem, or they created a new one) then bring your japanese car (and high performance motorcycles) to these guys. Its a good sign when you show up and they’re listening to KUT while working. They’ll always take the time to explain what the vehicular problem is, even going into extreme detail to the point that all I can do is nod and pretend i know what they’re talkin bout. These guys are like mechanic scholars, think Click and Clack but without the constant, infuriating laughter. They charge less than other shops, are extremely experienced with the models they work on, and have really quick turnaround, although sometimes they’re too busy to take your car right away, but hey, they’re really nice, honest guys. They seem to appreciate the challenge of fixing hard to diagnose problems, though at this point I doubt there’s any problem they haven’t seen. From what I can tell, they work on cars to supplement their motorcycle shop, which is usually filled with a variety of high end and rare bikes. I’ve been to many of the japanese car repair shops in San Marcos, and these two guys run the best shop in town, hands down.
