Dr. Schlotter is a rare breed among doctors today. It is obvious that he genuinely cares for his patients as individuals, and takes the time to throughly explain medical conditions/treatments. He doesn’t hesitate to tell the truth and be firm when warranted! Very sweet office staff as well. Impeccably clean exam rooms.

I don’t doubt Dr. Schlotter’s surgical skills, but he’s not a good choice for a cancer patient. In a cancer case, a key part of the general surgeon’s role is to guide the patient through the process, explain all their options, and connect them to other specialists and services. It’s in that role that Dr. Schlotter fails his patients. He said he was referring me an oncologist he didn’t really know because the one he worked with had retired, he didn’t know any radiation oncologists in Austin, and he couldn’t name a single plastic surgeon accepting patients. I think he focuses more time these days on minor cosmetic procedures, and I’m sure he’s fine at those. But a cancer patient will be better served by a surgeon who stays current in that field rather than one who spends more time on laser hair removal and tickle liposuction.

I visited for laser hair treatments and was very pleased. Clean facility, helpful friendly staff. They took the time to answer all my questions and address my concerns. Would definitely return for their other services.
