Comfort Inn

Pros: Newer hotel and included breakfast. Prices are reasonable and it’s not a big overwhelming place. Beds very comfortable. Free Wi-​Fi. My double queen room and bathroom was plenty big for a few nights. Rooms were quiet. Includes small fridge and microwave. Small indoor pool for rainy days.
Cons: Bedsheets inside out. Dirty bath tub. Dirty coffee maker. I called for housekeeping but they were not available on weekends. Breakfast was not good. Tasted stale.
Im left confused.

Had a pre-​paid reservation, but the night before I ended up with a medical emergency and wasn’t going to be able to travel. My husband called and spoke with the supposed manager to ask if we could work something out (it was a non-​refundable fare, which was fine with us, but we’d hoped to be able to reschedule or something). He offered to send them documentation of the medical visits and tests I was having done the day of and after the night we’d scheduled to stay. Someone named Andreas told my husband that they would refund the fare with no trouble at all. That seemed great, except that it never happened.
When we called a few days later to inquire about it further, I spoke with a guy named Ty who told me they’d definitely refund it no problem at all, but he had to wait and speak with a manager. He also informed me the person we spoke to last time wasn’t a manager after all.
Several more days passed, and I hadn’t heard any confirmation from anyone, so I called back again. I was given the run-​around by the front desk person, Cindy I believe her name was. I was told the manager wasn’t in, and she said she’d take a message and have the manager call me.
Days and days passed, no return call. I called numerous additional times, always being told no manager was available. I called the corporate offices for Choice hotels and they told me that the manager, Cynthia, had rejected our request for refund and would call to speak with me the next day.
Needless to say, Cynthia never called me and neither did anybody else. We ended up getting the fare refunded by the booking agency who were appalled by the horrible service and response times by this hotel. I’d really avoid spending your money here if at all possible, there are plenty of other similarly priced hotels in San Marcos with much better service standards.

BRAND new hotel, bugs crawling around the room and bathrooms have not been mopped, even after request. Funny things they said they don’t have bugs they are new. I took a pic and showed them I wasn’t wrong as they said I was.

. easy process! Brand new hotel! Easy check in. The room was great, like I said previously new hotel, so new rooms, all topnotch, no wear & tear yet. Clean bathroom. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast! Would stay again if in area.

Hotel is new and rooms are nice. Management of the property is horrible. Our room was not clean, items in bathroom not replaced when emptied. Carpets throughout the hotel not vacuumed. Basic items for the free breakfast either stale or not available (no half and half for coffee, no bottled water, cereal past expiration). Would have given an extra star had any of the above items been fixed, but after 4 nights, nothing has changed.

Beautiful comfortable hotel just off of 35. I hate that we’ll only be here one night. Black out curtains, ceiling fan, large wall mounted flat screen TV, lots of small touches. I seriously doubt want to leave. Beds are so comfy with down bedding. Breakfast included with stay which only cost us $ 79 for the night! Staff was great. Perfect stay. Will definitely be booking a room here again should I return to San Marcos.

This place is beautiful, newly built, and a great place to relax. I almost didn’t want to leave the room, everything is so wonderful, indoor pool, fitness room, oh my Comfort Inn cater to me…
Complimentary breakfast is served, regularly in the mornings, and it really was good. There is and will be something there for you to enjoy eating, with a variety of fluids for you to choose to wash it down with.
Staff was very friendly, and access in and out of the property was very convient. Location is near, the San Marcos Outlet if you are a shopper. Beds, are really comfortable and rooms were really clean. Come prepared to relax and enjoy your stay, you won’t be disappointed.

Stayed for one night after a concert at Whitewater Amphitheater. Hotel is brand new and nice enough. I would stay again. Room was clean and the bed was comfy. My only complaints are the request for late check out was denied and there was no rate lower than the standard room rate. Also, the sheets are scratchy. Nonetheless, great place to stay when in San Marcos.

Stayed here last night and very satisfied! Brand new and beautifully decorated, hotel staff very courteous. They allowed us a late check out which was very helpful. Will definitely stay here again when working in the San Marcos area.
