Bob Dake Custom Decks and Water Features

We hired Bob to build a privacy fence in our back yard. We live in a historic district, so we had to submit a custom design to the Historic Preservation Committee, and then follow that design once it was approved. (They would never approve a typical 6-​foot cedar privacy fence, so that was out of the question.)
Fortunately, a neighbor recommended we call Bob Dake. What a friendly and trustworthy man. Bob met with us, measured our lot, reviewed our design, and provided us with multiple bids based on different material choices. He also gave us insight into some tinted sealers that have stood up to hot Texas summers and protected the fences he’s built.
The fence turned out to be huge success and has received a ton of compliments. We always respond with two words: «Bob Dake!» Bob is careful with his work, does a quality job (for instance, he uses coated screws instead of nails), and he’s a pleasure to have on site. He’s also very creative and open to new ideas and «change orders,» which I’m afraid we are guilty of giving him on several occasions. (Many contractors do not react well to changes in plan, but Bob greets changes with a smile.)
Since then, we’ve hired him to help us seal another fence, and in fact he’s working on that as we speak. Such a great guy, and what a hardworking person. We just wish we had a deck or waterfall for him to build, because he specializes in those as well. (BTW, your dog will think Bob was beamed down from heaven… he is so great with animals.)
Many of Bob’s clients hire him again and again for additional jobs. As a homeowner, you love to see that.
As my wife and I like to say, «If you’re not getting a Dake, then you’re just getting a deck.»
