Reasonable selection of Indian spices, the gentleman working that day helped me find everything I was looking for.

I really do like this place. They usually have a friendly staff, amazing eyebrow threading salon attached next door, and overall a clean store. But I’ve started to notice that they have greatly reduced their selection of Indian foods. Being one of the few Indian groceries in my area, I visit them very often and each time find out that more and more products are out of stock and aren’t replenished. This is a small business, and they really are doing a fine job. Needs some improvement in inventory but overall it’s a nice place to pick up the SouthAsian essentials.

Quick and thorough threading services. I usually only get my upper lip threaded and have never been disappointed here. One time, I was asked if I’ve ever had my eyebrows threaded. I said no and declined the initial up-sell; however, I really needed a clean up. She offered to do one side to see if I liked it, if I didn’t, no need to pay. She threaded and shaped one eyebrow to perfection and I was amazed. It was so sharp and precise, I couldn’t say no to the other brow. Definitely won my business and now I’ll get my brows threaded from time to time.

Was craving Indian and Unilocal said this place had it. We went in but the lady said no Indian food because her chef is on vacation. However, big banner outside the shop said otherwise. Just a little false advertising. Call to make sure they are serving Indian food before making an effort to go here to save a wasted trip. Because this is obviously a small business, I will give them the benefit of the doubt. I will try again in the future… maybe.

Don’t be fooled they do not serve food. They had some samosas they could microwave for you. It’s a pretty sad selection grocery wise as well.

Love the threading studio! We came in for some henna and decided to get our brows done. The lady that helped us was super quick and they looked great afterwards. Definitely my favorite now, she listened to what I wanted and gave them great shape.

I would definitely recommend getting your brows done here! She(I wish I knew her name) was so nice and did an awesome job. She fixed the horrible brow job someone else did.

Yum. I had their lunch carry out. It was so good. Vegetarian(tasted vegan) and not overly spicy like other Indian places that I’ve tried. Very nice store owners and next door they have an eyebrow threading shop that my mom used and was very happy with it.

Although their staff was nice, I got my eyebrows done here and the lady ripped my skin and made me bleed. Haven’t been back since.

Came here for the threading today. There was great and fast service, and the lady who did my brows was friendly. I had a weird laugh attack pretty much the entire time(set off by my frequent sneezing and memory of something funny I saw right beforehand) and most people would’ve acted outwardly annoyed, but the brow lady was totally cool with it, laughed along with me, told me that laughing was good and I could go home later and keep laughing by myself… lmao…basically I acted all crazy and they handled it well… ANYHOO, 5 minutes and $ 10 later, I was a happy camper! I’ve been to so many threading places where it takes them like a year and a half to finish, AND they do a lousy job. But not so at Bharat Bazaar! In fact, in between my maniacal laughing episodes, the lady informed me that she had 18 years of threading experience. It’s too bad I don’t live around here, but I’ll definitely be back for the holidays.

ten-year old daughter JULIANA is going thru an INDIAN food phase. loving dad is busy keeping her in curry and daal. stopped by BHARATBAZAAR since i was over that way for a KAISER visit anyway. small but lots of essentials. restocked the pantry with lentils and spices and those golf ball sized eggplants i love to add to spicy, one pot dishes. the lady behind the counter(though initially a little standoffish towards the goofy, old white guy) warmed and was very helpful as i fumbled my way thru my lengthy ingredient lists. good experience. handy place to have in the neighborhood.

I went in today to get my eyebrows threaded and Chaaya did an amazing job. She’s really friendly and knowledgable about what she’s doing. The price is very convenient as well. They also have vegetarian & vegan products next door in the market. I will definetly be going back!

Has the basics you would need for indian cooking, but a bit pricier than other shops. I picked up a 2 lb bag or urad black lentils for making dal makhani for $ 4. There is also a beauty center in the adjacent room– nothing fancy. But a place where you can get henna painting and threading. $ 10 minimum for a credit card purchase.

I love the convenience of this place, it’s right down the street from where I live and the owners are so nice. I’d rather go to Chaya than the ladies that thread at the mall anyday. She also gives out the cards that can be stamped for frequent customers. I’ve had my eyebrows done here several times. I’m VERY picky about my brows, and for the most part she always does them to my liking. However there has been a couple times where she threads off a little more than i’d like and completely changes the shape of my brows :(I’ve learned that I have to tell her to please just«clean up my brows«or else she tends to want to change the shape. Other than having to wait weeks for my eyebrows to grow back, I keep coming back because her customer service is on point.

This is the best place in SD for threading. Randomly found this little gem and I’ll never trust another mall chop shop threading booth. Came here to have a correction to my eyebrows and my daughter’s after we went to a «threading» booth in the mall. She is awesome! This is our third time here and I plan to keep coming back.

I go here to get a few indian staples and to get my threading done. On this occasion it was for the latter. I am super happy with the job Chaaya has done. My brows look great!!! I also get professional and friendly service. I never have to wait and her prices are awesome. A lot better than other salons. I would recommend her to anyone looking for the perfect brows;)

I have mixed feelings about this place. The people are really sweet. The inventory is mixed, some interesting things and some from the ancient past. The fresh produce is fresh. The thing that bothered me was that there is a beauty parlor there, too. They remove facial hair for women. I saw the woman doing eyebrow threading. This is a process where the woman uses two long parallel threads to shape eyebrows. While I was in the store she had a steady stream of mostly Indian women there to have their brows shaped. I must say I was horrified to see the woman who was doing the shaping, moisten the strings by putting them in her MOUTH and licking them. Nasty by my standards. I bought some tea and roasted garbanzo beans.
