Bad service and food!!! Gave this place another try and the experience was even worse than the first! Our group came in about 8pm the brown haired waitress wouldn’t get up from another patrons table to take our order. Then when she managed to get up and take our order we never got our salads we ordered and she never came back to refill our drinks. We finally got our food and the boneless wings were raw and she went and sat at the bar. Never stopped by to see how the food was. I realize the place was not full but come on. As we were waiting for our check we had to listen to her argue/yell with another customer at the bar. She needs to be fired!!! There’s too many people looking for jobs along with the cook who gave us raw chicken! Go somewhere else this place is HORRIBLE!!! No one in our group will be returning!

Came in everyone at the bar. I sat at a table. I was greeted promptly and very friendly by waitress. Ordered water with lemon. During the world series they had 50 cent boneless wings that where not to shabby. They where out in no time and then my Phillips and fries where out to minutes after which was a good portion that tasted very good. This restuart is overall small town feel and very welcoming. I was very comfortable. I would come back.

A dive with some redeeming qualities. Clean place with friendly and good service. It’s mostly pub food… Burgers, onions rings, chili… And strong drinks. The bar area has been packed both times I’ve been in but the dining section has been dark, quiet and empty. Lovely group of locals to talk to and a few nice tvs. It’s pretty loud and doesn’t seem like a place to watch a game, but I haven’t been here when a local game was on, so I could be wrong. This is just a laid back place to go if you’re getting drinks and only want some snacks to pick at. I wouldn’t say come here with an appetite since the food has been meh at best.

This place has been handed down owner to owner. But the cheers atmosphere where everyone know your name is true. Even if your new you feel like you been there a long time. But you must forget the great bar pub food they have. Well you will feel full. That is for sure. I send out the challenge to anyone. Come Here and then tell if you return

Similarly to the other Unilocalreviews, I too was layed over for an extra nite in St. Louis due to a flight cancellation. I asked my hotel where a good place would be to belly up and drink my worries away and they suggested Yesterday’s. The place is awful. It smells, the food stinks and the people are weird. But that is exactly what made it awesome. If you are coming here for a fine dining experience you are more than likely an idiot. The beer is cheap, the people are friendly and the atmosphere is a must for any person who likes a dive bar. Thank you for making a bad situation a little better, Yesterday’s!

OMG this place came recommended but please save the aggravation and go somewhere else. Subway is down the street. The service was horrible, waited 10 min for a waitress and she was drunk. I was there at 8pm The place was smelly and dirty. Ordered a steak medium and salad. She disappeared for 25 min and I never got my salad the steak was so well done it was sawdust. When I sent it back the cook wanted to argue over how the steak was done. I travel alot and I would NEVER in my wildest dreams recommend this place. Seriously go to one of the mexican restaurants close by.

I work not far from Yesterdays and adhere to specific dietary needs. I ordered the chicken sandwich without the bread(gluten allergies) but still wanted the veggies from the sandwich to include the lettuce and tomato on my order. and told the order-taker as much. It was a to-go order, and I did not think to check out the goods prior to going back to the office. Once at my desk. and hungry. I opened the container to find the most overcooked piece of leathery-rubbery overly peppered chicken I have ever seen sitting lonely in the Styrofoam box. None of the lettuce and tomatoes that should have been on the«breadless sandwich» were present. It was a very disappointing experience all around. Doubt I’ll give them another try as they really do not serve anything that compliments healthy eating… except leathery-rubbery chicken.

Not a fan. There were some sketchy looking characters hanging around outside this place. They do have pool tables, though.

My St. Louis buddy likes this place, and he is a longtime concierge with experience in much larger cities than St. Louis. His taste embraces low brow, Americana, earthy even, and I can almost write my review solely on the basis of what I know about him. If I hadn’t been here myself. You’ll find friendly bartenders, fair prices, a guaranteed bar stool, and a decent place to have a drink near the St. Louis airport.

I been going to this bar /restaurant since the 1997, when I bought my house in this neighborhood. Talk about awesome American eats while you drink. It is no better here than anywhere in north county by the Airport. Like a Reuben sandwich they got the best here. I met up with a bud of more from high school and we both had the BLT cheddar cheese burger with fries and drank a bucket and more of beer. We had an awesome reunion here.

I was staying the night at the Quality Inn down the road, my flight was at 6:10am the next morning for home-sweety-home(So Cal). So my coworker and I had about 12 hours to kill and we found this place. Great dive bar that has cheap prices: domestic bottled beer $ 2 and Jameson Whiskey on the rocks $ 3.50. You can order a 6-pack on ice in those metal pails. They serve food but I didn’t really see or taste any of it to be able to review that. The clientele seemed to be regulars because they all knew each other and after they(and I) were on our 12th drink, we knew them too. They treated us like regulars; the older ladies calling us «honey» or «sweety» and the older men hugging us and giving life advice. It was awesome! It’s a «come as you are» atmosphere and like I said, a great dive bar. We almost missed our flight that morning by 5 minutes, that’s how bad ass it was!

First let me point out that my reviews weigh the food for about 80−90% of what I’m looking at so for those who aren’t looking to go here for food skip to the last paragraph. So I went here tonight because everything else on the street was closed and I figured why the heck not… Well, the food would be why the heck not. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t expect great food coming out of a bar, but this food was actually what I would call bad. I ordered the Patty Melt and a cup of chili. The chili came first and after a bite all I could taste was a mild spice and the rest was super bland. I grabbed the salt shaker and added a bit of salt which helped a bit. Next came the Patty Melt. The burger itself was super greasy, but what do you expect from bar food? My issue was with the fries which had absolutely no seasoning at all. They were just fried strips of potato. Also I was kind of grossed out by the pickle that came with it as it had a dark brown hard spot on it. The patty melt itself wasn’t bad. Again a tad on the bland side and way too greasy, but the sauce they used was pretty tasty. However I suspect that people just don’t come there for the food. It seems like a pretty standard bar where they rely on the business of their regulars. The people seemed friendly enough, the place was relatively clean, and I appreciated the lack of smoke. If you are just going for a casual laid back bar to get a drink at, you could do worse.

If you’re thinking, «what the hell was Justin doing at a bar in St. Louis?» I can promise you I was wondering the same damn thing. Flying back to Los Angeles from Chicago after Christmas had me connecting through St. Louis which I’m sure would have been fantastic except for the gazillion fucking people who were bumped off flights with me due to bad weather around the country. No better way to wrap up holiday times than a 24 hour stint in St Louis, that’s what I always(sarcastically) say. So I did what any self respecting lush does: booked a hotel room, dropped off my shit, and immediately found the closest bar to drink down the hyper-irritation I had from sitting in an airport for 15 hours. Not just any airport, but the St Louis airport where two separate restaurants tried to argue with me that chicken stock was in fact vegetarian so needless to say I didn’t eat anything other than a bag of chips all day. My hotel told me about Yesterday’s and I figured why not, I certainly wasn’t going to sit on my ass in the hotel room, drinks and food sounded spot on. End result? Yesterday’s was… interesting, in a good way. It’s pretty much what I would expect for a rural Midwest bar; greasy bar food, cheap drinks, music that hurt my ears, and very friendly people. I sat at this spot for maybe an hour and a half and the bartender was outgoing and chatty, keeping me company. The regulars told me all about where to get the best food while in town and then talked football with me. All in all I’ve had plenty of bar visits far worse than this one. I have to say thank you, they made my layover a lot less painful. I got a little buzz, had a little conversation, and then headed back to my room to completely destroy a cheeseless pizza from Dominos. Like completely and utterly destroyed it, within 3 minutes. I have to say for being on the completely opposite side of the country from where I live, Yesterday’s did a pretty good job of making me feel at home. I’ll take good conversation with chill people over a pompous lounge or club any day of the week.
