Clean divey bar. Lots of beers on draft. Killer bloody Mary’s too! I once saw my bartender put some stout beer in mine. Good music, chill people, no fuss.

CASHONLY! An ATM is located in the back, left of the steps. Great rotation of Local Craft beer. The mixed drinks are amazing and served up by some of the best bartenders in STL.

Friendly. Small place with owl décor. Nice bartender. Just stopped in for a quick beer and sat on the patio.

Nice little hipster dive bar only a block away from my friends house. Really cool vibe, cash only bar with some good olé cheap happy hours. They have a great beer selection with a variety of cans and taps. Very laid back and everyone is really friendly. It’s really cool they share a hallway with Steve’s hotdogs.

Had a great experience at this pub. They’ve got a couple arcade games(pac man and a centipede, millipede, and missile command combo machine) and the bartender there was amazing. She was very friendly and quick to take my order. Nice chill atmosphere. Good way to escape the hustle and bustle of south grand on a weekend.

Tick tick is a nice local gem. I am so glad they opened up down the street from where I live. A chill neighborhood bar with owl décor attached to Steve ’ s Hot Dogs. Get a beer and pair it with a delicious hot dog for a treat. The only annoying thing about this places is that they do not accept credit cards. They do have an ATM and Steve ’ s does accept credit.

I feel like I shouldn’t review this place, because I really want it to stay exactly as it is… but, I truly love everything about it. Go!

I wish I lived in St. Louis just so I could frequent Tick Tock all the time. In a 3 day trip here recently, my husband and I made it here twice. Let that be a testament for what a fun plae this is. Tick Tock definitely has a divey vibe, but the staff is laid back and down to earth and the ambiance makes you feel like you are right at home. My personal favorite touches are the big bulb Christmas lights and the Ms Pac-Man machine. They also have local craft beers on tap, which i can always get behind. Decent outdoor seating area as well. Definitely hit this place up ASAP!

Bomb service. So chillax. You can bring Steve’s Hotdogs into the bar. So accommodating. They have a great beer can selection and rotations taps. Fun events. Polite to neighbors. CASHONLY. Every time I go, I have a blast. And when I being friends, they say they will return there.

Great neighborhood bar that’s tucked away from South Grand. Heady local craft brews if you want that, ice cold Schlitz if you want that too. Best of both worlds. If it’s nice out, which is never, you can sit outside on their patio. Lots of smokers though, so bring the Axe.

Cool bar, cool bartender, cool prices IMO. I would come here more if I lived closer. Cash-only is a thing, so $ 2ATM fee if you dont come prepared. Throwback music always playing! I felt at home.

I wouldn’t say it’s much to look at — kind of like the bars you’d see in an 80s/early 90s TV show — but it has that classic tavern feel that can’t be denied. Solid drinks and service but this bar IS cash only. Not a huge deal but something you’ll want to keep in mind before ordering a round. The place is also right next door to Steve’s Hot Dogs, with a door joining them, so if you get hungry you know where to go. They’ll even deliver your dog straight to your table! A pretty nice perk, if you ask me.

Craft beers on tap, always rotating. Local brews at fair prices.(Cash only!) Try the Schlafly Pale Ale for a tried and true brew that pleases most palates. Creative décor: owls, clocks, vintage items, quirky touches. A bar at home in Tower Grove neighborhood. Plentiful picnic table seating outside. People flock here in nice weather to drink on the patio amongst their neighbors. Packed on a Thursday night, but so much seating both outdoors and inside, the big crowd was still well accommodated. Dogs are welcome and even families come for the delicious, craft hot dogs sold next door.

Tick Tock is my new favorite neighborhood bar. It embodies everything you need in a local joint: laid back atmosphere, tons of character, cheap drinks, patio, and friendly staff. Tick Tock walks that fine line of dive bar but ACTUALLY nice. It’s lined with dated décor, old beer signage, weird pictures, even a wall of clocks all cleverly set to 4:20. They have a good section of spirits and a fine line up of local brews on tap. I could seriously go here for all my boozing needs. Yes, it’s inconvenient they don’t take cards but it’s cheap and they have an ATM machine inside for you. They don’t serve food but they’re joined next door with Steve’s Hot Dogs. You can order food from them and they’ll bring it right on over! If you’re looking for somewhere fun to have a drink and talk with friends(or even alone!) Tick Tok is the perfect spot for you.

Beer selection is good as are prices. It gets a 3 star for only accepting cash. Huge upside for it– it shares space with Steve’s hot dogs. So you can order your hot dog, walk into tic toc to get your beer or reverse order. They also have a nice outdoor space you can sit when the weather cooperates.

It’s a clean divey hole in the wall that happens to be connected to an excellent place for hot dogs. This place is decorated in owls and the early 90s. They have all local beers on tap and prices range from $ 4.50 to $ 6.00. They always have good music playing and the service has always been great. I have a feeling this place is going to get more and more popular.

This new neighborhood bar has kept its old school charm. Full bar with Steve’s hot dogs next door, can’t beat that! Cash only joint but don’t fear there is a ATM machine in back… Great local vibe in here. Try a manhattan the are quite good!

If I could turn back time, if I could turn back time If I could turn back time, oh baby — I’d be setting at the bar at Tick Tock Tavern, having a drink with you And munching on a Hot Dog from Steve’s next door TTT is a dive bar that is stuck in a time warp, with class. The drinks are good, strong and cheap. Not only is the staff friendly, they’re eager to know your name and make you feel like a regular. Each of the bartenders introduced themselves to us and asked us our names. I found that to be a real nice personalized touch. A bonus to TTT, is the fact that a side door inside connects the dive bar to Steve’s Hot Dogs new location. This is a perfect set up. You can slam down a couple of beers, order hot dogs from Steve and watch your favorite home town sports team on TV. What really kicks ass is the staff from Steve’s will bring it over to you when its ready. Tick Tock Tavern, you’re my new favorite dive bar.

Located on Magnolia, just east of Grand in the Tower Grove neighborhood, The Tick Tock is a renovated historic tavern that is revisiting Tower Grove East after years of being a closed down corner in this historic neighborhood. It is a true neighborhood bar with a rustic feel. Very casual. Slightly hipster. Steve’s Hotdogs is located next door and actually opens up into the bar. So, if you are into hotdogs, sausage and brats, you have many options. There is some outdoor seating out front, free WiFi, a loft area with sofas and a good sized bar. They have a full bar and the drink prices are slightly higher than your average South City neighborhood bar, but not bad. Cash only.
