Wandering on Cherokee street, I see furniture on a corner store and it looks intriguing. Going inside, I see immediately all randomly awesome, vintage, retro, upcycled one-of-kind items. The prices were killing it, a wall of items for $ 5(hello art easel) and the rest are marked very admirably… at this place vintage is truly raw vintage, not just a code word for old and super expensive. You will most likely find lots of items so make sure you have room in your car to transport them home. I stuffed my car with an upcycled chair $ 25, refinished solid wood storage end table $ 10, wood magazine holder $ 10. The proprietor is a sharp young woman and said her product is always changing. In fact, when I was there, a customer was returning for the second time that day — couldn’t help himself he said. If you know what’s good for you, get yo’ self some cool ish here when on Cherokee. P. S. I went on Saturday afternoon and found parking right next to the store, so don’t be skeered.

Strange Overtones is located on Cherokee Street, a few blocks west of Jefferson. It’s a home furnishing store that offers vintage and prefabricated furniture and décor made from vintage industrial parts. The items range from wall hangings, bed frames and things you may just have to figure out how to use. Perfect for the owner or designer of an industrial home or loft. This is the kind if place you will need to visit regularly to see what’s new. I loved the bed frame, but at $ 3500-$ 4000 bucks, its a little out of my decorating budget, but if I had a huge loft and needed that one piece of furniture that said wow, it would be this frame.
