I work down the street. In 4 trips, my order has either been incomplete or wrong twice. Very disappointing service!

I stopped in to grab a dose of caffeine while waiting for table at First Watch. It was my first time inside this location. Immediately I loved the feel of it and thought to myself«oh I’ve gotta come back for a full experience.» The leather chairs were calling me; Christy, Christy, CHRISTY come here!!! Anywho, I was on the clock so I grabbed my coffee, took a 2 second seat(just so my tush could touchCentra the leather) and jetted so I didn’t miss my name being called at the Watch. Don’t worry Central Ave. like Arnold said, «I’ll be bach»

Starbucks probably has 20,000,000 locations by now, but this is one of the nicer ones. It’s quite large with lots of seating — a good mix of tables/chairs for working and lounge-y areas for relaxing. Everything was very clean including the restrooms(not always the case at the busier Starbucks). Basically the product is the same as the 20,000,000 other locations but this one has especially pleasant and cheerful staff. They managed to move people through quickly while still patiently answering a litany of dumb questions: «what coffee drink can I get that doesn’t taste that much like coffee?» WTF, people! Also, I loved that they’re sponsoring a Giving Tree from a local animal shelter. You could grab a tag and buy products or send in a monetary donation. There was already a good sized stack of puppy presents from customers, which is awesome.

Fast, friendly service. Decent number of tables and power outlets. No complaints here.

I’m here fairly often since I work in the area. Usually I like to drink the blonde roast. They normally do not have any brewed ahead of time so there is a wait for the single pour. I’m fine with the wait in theory. However, the single pours are apparently the responsibility of the cashiers. They get very busy at this location and the last few times that I’ve been here its been forgotten about by them. They either need to set a timer of some kind or have the barista take care of it.

Most starbucks have good coffee & great service, but can be hard to park near or are very small inside. This one offers all that you would expect from Starbucks, but it’s easy to park and the available seating inside it the best I’ve seen in years traveling the country. Really like the triple free standing coffee fixing table. Great job!

Looks like a great place to study or meet people. The staff was courteous and was a great place to have a little breakfast before getting to know St. Louis.

I love this location. It’s spacious, has a wide variety of seating, from comfy couches to various sized tables, but the best part is that the employees are so personable! Definitely a Starbucks that you can plan on spending awhile in with good company.

Yes, I am a junkie. Happy now? So what? Me and 128 million other people. This is a nice big corner location 2 blocks away from my office, very convenient. Does anyone actually read reviews of a specific Starbucks location? Aren’t they all the same? Friendly staff, lots of seating. I’m in.

This is my «local». It’s by the office, I’m here all the time, and what can i say — this place has the best staff of ANY starbucks I’ve been to in St. Louis(and by God, I’ve been to a lot). I should have maybe 150 checks in here over the last 2 years, but i as always too lazy to log onto Unilocal. Drinks are always right on, the food is always fresh and I usually get the biggest piece of lemon loaf there is. There’s plenty of space to work /read, outlets if you need it and they also have couches /comfy chairs if you’re chilling for a few hours. Hint: park in the far lot(the one closer to mcdonalds) if you want to get here after say 11am or you’ll have to snail it around wesport for ten minutes before getting that sweet nectar.

It’s really hard for me to rate a Starbucks. I feel like if you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all. They have a very uniform feel. This location I must mention is one of the larger ones, with amble tables and chairs for those lazy days where you just want to hangout in a coffeehouse. What I am a fan of at this location is their staff. I walked in this morning half in a daze with a million thoughts running through my head. Just kind of going through the motions without any emotion. I had a rough night, refer to my Animal Emergency Clinic review. I just needed something special, like a Chai Latte to pick me up and a chance to get some fresh air outside of the office. The barista/cashier who took my order was very nice and despite my half-baked demeanor, she asked me how my day was going and if a sweet treat from their bakery case might help pick my day up. Which took me by surprise and kinda snapped me out of it and into the actual moment. I was glad to be brought back into the here and now. I did take a gander at their selection. While their pastries looked very good, especially their bite sized petites. Their English muffin sandwiches did not. They were just sitting there, fully made and probably cold. Everyone working behind the counter was very friendly. I heard many cheerful Hello’s, Thank You’s and Enjoy Your Day’s from the staff in the short time I was there. I left with a smile on my face and a hot little Chai Latte in my hand that most definitely picked my day up.

CARAMELMACCHIATO –SKINNY, please and thank you! Not only can I see this location from my office window on the ninth floor of the Commerce Bank building, but my gosh I can walk to it in less time it takes me to get from the 9th floor to ground level via the elevator. Today — it’s Sunday, not working but I am studying and clearly UnilocalING!!! I arrived around 2:15pm-ish and the place was jumping. In the last hour plus its calmed down a few small groups studying, knitting(yes yarn and needles) and another few here and there with laptops and books. I like this location b/c it’s clean and the staff are always friendly even during the hectic weekday mornings I love coming here for a hot chocolate when I am not in the mood for coffee. This place rocks on the weekends b/c I think people forget it’s here and so the flow of traffic is minimal and you can usually find a seat and a plug nearby if you’re not a Apple user.

Well, I certainly check in here often enough. I suppose it is time for a review. Keep in mind that I am not reviewing the Starbucks corporate empire, the(largely pointless) debate over the impact on the social fabric by the homogenized«coffee shop culture» or any other such nonsense; no, I am simply speaking of 2 North Central Ave. — my touchstone to reality. My preferred Starbucks is so much more to me than merely a refueling stop on the caffeine highway; it is the cornerstone of a relaxing routine that allows me to completely shed the stressors and megrims of each work week. This is my Weekend place; a place for great coffee and a newspaper, a place for clearing my mind while gazing out the windows looking out onto central Clayton. The thought of sinking into one of the overstuffed chairs in the well-lighted corner with a muffin or some oatmeal is a sublime way to awaken on Saturday and Sunday mornings. There are myriad Starbucks locations in the U.S. and I have been to dozens of them. I am definitely a fan of their rich, deep, strong brew but the true reason for continually frequenting them as I travel city to city and state to state is this: whenever I enter, regardless of where I am, I can always recapture a measure of the peace and tranquility of 2 North Central

I’ve got to update this review to five stars. This Starbucks, and the people working at it, are truly awesome. I can now legitimately call myself a regular(much to my wallet’s chagrin), and I’ve had a chance to see the staff in action on a daily basis. They are extremely friendly, know their customers by name, remember drink orders and have them ready by the time you’ve made it to the register, etc. — all the customer service stuff you expect from the best.
