I debated leaving a 3 star review but then realized my own comic shop bias was clouding my judgment. It’s more modern, with a young staff, and very trendy; which should not be a discriminator against it. The stories clean, well organized, well stocked with current issues and a ton of trades. The TPB tend have more variety than bulk of specific titles, which is great if you are looking for something rare or new. They have several very creative displays that stray from your typical comic shop.
An olde comic reader who loves classic comic shops and back issues. This store is not that. I can see where some older or «hard» nerds may slander this shop as appealing to hipsters or trendy nerds. But I think they strike a balance. It was also very kid friendly which is great.
The customer service was very friendly and helpful as well
All in all, a damn good shop, but if you want gaming space or back issues you may need to go elsewhere

Star Clipper has the best variety of product of any comic book store in St. Louis. Huge selection of comic books, graphic novels, art books, toys and games. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Great place.

In my opinion, this place is the coolest comic book store in St. Louis. It has a large variety and selection of comic books. This also goes to be said for posters, statues, action figures, funko pops, and so much more in the way of merchandise.
The staff here is great and goes out of their way to help you find what you need. They stock all the mainstream titles such as DC, Marvel, Image, and Dark Horse. Not to mention they host events around St. Louis and offer great deals which you can’t pass up.
It’s a comic book haven. Nuff said.

Pretty good selection of new comics and lots of trades. Impressed with the selection of small press books. I’m glad it wasn’t overrun with kids and their magic cards and what not. Staff was nice and checked in with me to make sure I was ok. Didn’t feel like I had invaded someone territory which was nice.

The new Star Clipper is great! I’m so pumped that it lives up to my ridiculously positive memories of the old store. I didn’t really think that was possible but it is so. I felt such a deep since of off at hearing of the closing of the original on Delmar that only a flawless experience would have been able to fill that void. Well ladies and guys, you’ve hit the ludicrous imaginary mark in my mind. Keep doing what you’re doing! Ill see you again soon!
