Great neighborhood bar with a wide variety of craft beers. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable — and make a mean apple sauce shot! There are plenty of TVs and a jukebox that lets you search for(and find) any song. Two thumbs way, way up!

cool place and a great neighborhood bar. plenty of beer choices and very friendly staff. great crowd also that is way in their stl teams. food is also above average for bar food. enter on the side of the building and there is a square bar on the north wall with seating on three sides. plenty of bar stools but this place can get packed. wooden bar top with no rail. round steel foot rest. bar back is nothing special as the beer taps are the main focus. does have a shuffleboard table, so huge props. opposite the bar is an eating area with lower tables. also has a shuttle to local sports games, so skip the driving and risk. look forward to coming back.

As far as sports bars go, the place wasn’t terrible. We went there to catch a Blues game and they had pretty decent drink specials. If you’re going to be there a while or want to split something with friends go for a growler. They are $ 20, but you essentially get one beer free. They also have buckets and a pretty nice draft selection. The food was exciting. Some unique items you don’t see everywhere mixed in with the typical bar food. Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy some as much as we’d hoped. The best part of the meals were when we stayed simple: burgers and grilled cheese. The wings were ok, but I thought they were too built up. Also, every sauce in the place was watery. Blue cheese, Mac and cheese, chili sauce all runny. Maybe this is by design. It’s a fine place to go, hang out, grab a beer and burger, and watch a game.

*Surprisingly gourmet bar and grill food. *went here and tried goat cheese curds, potato skins, and a spinach artichoke and chicken pizza. The cheese curds were tasty and had a sweet sauce to accompany them. The potato skins were very crisp and loaded. The pizza was good, but I would liked the chicken to have been seared or roasted and seasoned, it was somewhat bland. *plenty of seating and a knowledgeable staff. *prices are reasonable especially during the happy hour specials. * will be returning here during football season because I heard there is a bears fan gathering that takes place. BEARDOWN.

Delicious!!! I got the 10oz and my boyfriend got the 15oz burger. We both got medium rare and it was a delight to see it done correctly. The burgers were phenomenal. We’ll definitely be going back!

If you’re looking for a place to watch sports while enjoying delicious food and drink, SOHA should be on the top of your list. There’s a huge U-shaped bar with plenty of seats and lots of TVs. In addition there’s a patio and plenty of regular seating and big screens all over the place. I came here for the last Blues game and the place was going nuts with passionate sports fans. The food was a pleasant surprise. The house salad($ 5) has artichokes in it, a nice addition. Also the serving size is huge! The Thai sweet curry wings were damn good and not too spicy, and I believe wings are 50 cents apiece on game days. The beer tap selection was also impressive. I suggest Perennial’s Hopfentea — a tart, crisp Berliner Weiss beer flavored with tea. The atmosphere is divey and rustic, with lots of wood, almost like a cabin. Service was great as well, the staff was friendly and attentive. And there’s plenty of parking.

I really like this local bar and grill. Dependable, fun, friendly and lively South City spot with a nice vibe and TVs for sports. Food is good(not great), so we go here for the bar and sports. Great bartenders and servers. This bar attracts as slightly more upscale crowd than other South City bars. Prices are reasonable and the crowd during St. Louis sports nights can be very fun and lively.(Especially Blues playoff games.) Good place for before or after sporting events or concerts.

Went here for the first time this week. I can sum up my overall experience with one word… meh I would call it mediocre. There’s nothing overly special and overly terrible(aside from the terrible smell in there patio area when you first walk in-smells like rotten/spoiled food or something) The food options were limiting and didn’t offer a lot of variety. Not everything in the world needs pork or bacon on it! Their cheese sauce that came with their odd tots tasted like that powdered cheese mix from boxed Mac n cheese. It was very dark in there and hard to see. The server never came to check on us during the meal and seemed unhappy to be there. The burgers we got were okay but definitely not the best out there. I think this place could have potential but in the grand scheme of things it is bottom on my list to ever visit again. The St. Louis hills and city area has phenomenal restaurants and soha should step up their game in order to stand a chance against the competition.

Fun spot to watch sports games. The service was excellent and staff was super friendly. And I enjoyed their food as well. I’d recommend this place for a casual, fun night out.

A big group from work all went together and had a very lovely server. She was patient and kind and checked on us often. Very appreciated with lots of questions and comments being given to her by lots of folks. Enjoyed her drink recommendation as well. Mostly ate apps but they were totally decent. A happy hour go to for me. Haven’t eaten dinner there yet.

Love this place! Super friendly staff, great food, and they will put on whatever game you want to watch, even if it isn’t the hometown teams. Excellent happy hour deals too! Highly recommended

The beef used in the burger was tasty, and the bacon used good cuts. That being said, they charge for everything except you have to pay for everything. Two slices of tomato, 50 cents. Onion, 50 cents. Bacon, 50 cents a strip, which I would expect to be paying. 50 cents for 6 jalapeño strips, which are $ 4 for a jar. The produce is a massive commodity here. The beer was what you would expect. They have some good local brewery’s on tap, and those you cannot judge the 7.00 for a 9oz pour. But the domestics are standard priced. Service was decent. If you were there for beer and a hockey game, they did have four bartenders, so you won’t have to wait for a drink which is nice. They only had one server, and even though she was great and cheerful, you can’t help but feel bad for her when 3 bartenders are standing around while she is running to get one of the tables that don’t have seats at the bar. Ultimately, go for a beer and a game, not the food, and you’ll get what you want and have a good time

I you like a good local bar setting, with a solid menu or bar food and also entrees, this is the place! Servers are very friendly and do their jobs well. The menu is loaded with good burgers, sandwhcihes and appetizers. Get the spring rolls and wings especially. Beer choices are immense and full of local craft as well as your usual national stuff.

Great place for meeting friends for a beer or dinner or both! Plenty of seating room, decent prices, lots of burgers and fried foods to chose from. TVs in every corner to watch any St. Louis-friendly game. :) A little tight for space so I’d leave the little ones at home(the ones who need to run around a bit). A hometown pub with no pretentiousness; would be a great place for a burger after a round of golf!

I was super excited to try the goat cheese madallions … They were decent but the sauce it came with wasn’t my favorite. The taco salad was definitely not worth the $ 11. I ordered this as a to go order and somehow I didn’t receive any plastic ware or napkins to eat with.

Nice tap selection. Never too hard to find a table. Lots of tvs so not a bad place to watch a game. Really their happy hours and appetizers are their best feature. Check the hours and don’t miss out. Parking is a bit of a nightmare. The lot is tiny and always full. There are even a lot of directional restrictions and obstacles so it isn’t pleasant when you do find a spot. The back streets have some spots but you always feel bad taking the spots in front of people’s homes. Hopefully they enjoy soha like the rest of us.

The Parmesan fries are really good. Nice chill atmosphere, it got really busy there during happy hour. They had 50 cent wings — the thai flavor is really nice(not spicy). The meatza pizza was really good and only $ 5 — it’s topped with meatloaf and several other meats. I ordered an expensive Framboise that I thought was cheap, our server, Ashlee, was so sweet, and came back over and checked that I saw the price(I didn’t…). The service was good too, even though it got really busy at the end, she took great care of us.

Dear Kevin O., Not sure how you could say there is «more bone than meat» because the wings here are LARGE&INCHARGE, CRISPY, and filled with MEATYDELICIOUSNESS! Oh and I am from Buffalo, NY… ’nuff said. ‘MERICA! Sincerely, JB

Large draft selection, huge burgers, and a good sports bar atmosphere. This place is great for watching games over good beer and a classic burger. The options they have for burgers are great(most everything you’d want from a burger joint), and they offer massive sizes up to ¾ lb. They come in specific styles or made-to-order. The have non-burger flare as well that’s all pretty good. I was a little disappointed with the mac n’ cheese but everything else was fantastic. SOHA has a good amount of locals and other crafts, along with traditional brews. If there is something actually«rare» or difficult to find out on draft don’t expect it to last long. Even so it’s fun to come over and try out a few different varieties you may not have had or to retry something that’s been a while. The interior is a little cramped when busy, but on off-nights seating is ample. There’s not much to look at and it comes across as dingy, but it’s always clean when I’ve been there. Definitely a place I’ll hit up some more.

I’m going to let you in on a «dirty» little secret. The«dirty» chicken wings at SOHA are phenomenal. The wings themselves are huge, meaty and juicy. They have just enough, spicy kick, to be the perfect accompaniment to a cold beer. These wings are so incredibly good, I am placing them in the #1 spot on my Wings, Wings and more Wings list. SOHA with it’s amazing wings, enormous variety of beers and multiple TV’s, is the perfect place to watch your favorite sports games. Or, you can just stop by for a cold icy beer and an appetizer before going home after a hard day at work.
