This plaza totally needed a smoothie bar and it looks like Smoothie Kings are popping up all over the St. Louis metropolitan area. This location is in the same plaza with Trader Joes and St. Louis Bread Company. I usually go for an afternoon coffee drink to power through the rest of the day but it is so nice and so refreshing to have something sweet yet not laden in tons of sugar and extra calories. This location is not as large as others and only has two small seating areas. The store was very clean and the two associates there were very helpful and prompt. When I arrived there were four other people there and two more came in after me. It was a little tight for a second being that the space is limited but the associates there kept it together, worked together and had us all out of there with great drinks in no time. I went with my classic Caribbean Way(strawberries, bananas and papaya juice blend) but this time I did some additives for energy. This totally satiated my sweet tooth and gave me the energy to get through the day and I didn’t experience any extreme highs or lows. The additives were a new thing for but wow I was surprised it didn’t alter the taste of the base recipe that I’m used to. Same rule book here: you get a 32 oz drink for $ 5 on a Friday and they have Happy Hours drinks specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I used the Smoothie King app to make sure that I receive points for my purchase and possible discounts in the future. Nice new locations — give them a try when your in the area or on those warehouse runs.
