Took my daughter for a Disney on ice show. No reentry policy must be a joke contrived by the city who only allows a 2 hour limit on parking and won’t let you leave and re-enter. Kind of see through greedy bullshit. In an empty metropolis swimming with homeless junkies, the only way to make money on the weekends is by eeking out parking ticket fines from hapless cultured showgoers. Bravo city of St. Losers, I mean Louis… Or do I? Oh wait I must add. $ 5.50 for a pretzel then… wait for it…$ 1.50 extra for cheese. Seriously? Really? Cmon I mean Cmon? Even the lady serving me said it in an incredulous way as though I could never afford the cheese that would be the only natural yet out of reach compliment to this most forbidden treat. Scottraded his soul to the devil. Luckily you’ll only trade your money for cheap Chinese flashy lights and toys. Oh yeah buy those in the streets for 1⁄3rd the price. Same crap I promise. The 2 stars are for the ice skating performers. They are spectacular.

Great venue for a NHL game. It gets loud and it’s a beautiful arena on the outside. Close to union station which isn’t great for pre game or post game and to be honest there’s not much around the arena or Market street to do before the game compared to other cities. Great atmosphere, great team, and competitive ticket prices. Negatives: Thing I cannot stand is that power play dance? What the!!! Arena is a little outdated. LGB!

Went to a Blues game and, maybe it’s just the Blues game atmosphere was lackluster compared to Lightning games and other sporting event I’ve been to, but I left with a similarly dull impression of the stadium overall. Food was okay. Seats were okay. Nothing really stands out.

Was invited to a hockey game at Scottrade while visiting St Louis on business — had quite a good time with great seats. The crowd was certainly animated and the action quite fierce — unfortunately the wrong team won, but that’s the way it goes sometimes. Everyone from the staff members checking tickets to the guy handing out bobble heads to the people behind the various food and drink venues were awesome, answering questions and being good hosts — what a great venue!

I’m from Dallas. I flew out to see the Stars play the blues(we got destroyed 3 – 0, but that has zero impact on this review) I had good location seats, but my seat itself(118 row F) was in disrepair, and was really old. The stadium itself looks to be in really piss poor condition. The bathrooms are disgusting — I’m a Stars and Cowboys season ticket holder, I’m basing this off of my comparison to other stadium bathrooms. I took a piss in this place and honestly felt like I needed a immune booster shot after The smoking area is a foul pig pen, I vape and I was corralled out there into this cramped pen of stench… Why in the world don’t you do like other stadiums and scan tickets in and out Your Jumbotron is a joke, straight out of 1980. It looked like I was watching vintage replays when it was actually the live game. The concessions weren’t clean, visited three of them looking for a decent one to get a soda… They were all disgusting. The bars that are holding the glass together are solid metal… This gets in the way big time when you’re trying to watch the game and have good seats… What the hell are you thinking… Most modern stadiums have the clear connectors, why punish fans with a distorted view who pay more for their seats? To top this off, blues fans have zero class to visiting teams… You guys are like eagles and Raiders fans. I travel a lot for away games, so I’m used to other fans giving you a hard time… Blues fans are just straight up assholes for no apparent reason.

Cool place to take in a hockey game. Watched the red wings play the blues and red wings won in OT. There really isn’t a bad seat in the place. There are some hokey promotion things during breaks in the action and they were so insanely Gaga over the Movember promo that it started to feel like overkill at some point lol. we get it, you guys like moustaches or something.

One of St. Louis’ largest arenas. Great for major concerts, live shows, and hockey games. The layout isn’t bad and typically every seat in the house has a good view of the stage for concerts. Traffic jams can occur at the end of a concert while everyone is going to the same 2 exits. Consider yourself warned. The parking garage here is also a congestion trap.

How do I review a place like this? Hmm… well I’m not a fan of Canadian sports(hockey) and I don’t like so-called professional wrestling. Wait, I’ve been to many shows here, so why not base my review on all of them? Best way of making this review fair, I guess. It’s cool, clean, huge, and a great symbol for the city. Best place to see a big concert. Over the years, I’ve seen Nine Inch Nails, Paul McCartney, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, and most recently, Stevie Wonder. All the workers are friendly and its pretty much your typical large indoor venue. Tip: Because we’re not New York City, Chicago or L.A., I think paying $ 20 for parking is brutal. Just take Metrolink and ignore the crazies. Save yourself some money unless you’re trying to impress someone.

The Scottrade Center is a great concert venue. I’ve attended dozens of shows here over the years and I’ve never been disappointed with the setup, service or accommodations. In my experience the staff has always been very pleasant and hospitable. Restrooms are well kept and concessions well stocked. Beer, wine, nachos, hot dogs, chicken, popcorn, peanuts, fountain soft drinks, chips, $ 5 bottled water… whatever you’re vice. Expect lines during peak event times such as the start, intermission and conclusion. There will be long lines, heavy vehicle as well as pedestrian traffic. Plan ahead and get dropped off at the door, an escort to the gate and concessions on 3 for minimal headaches and delays. Thank me later, ~Christy

This is like every big venue you go too. Expect high food and drink prices, that being said, the sound for the Kenny Chesney concert was great and its really hard to get a bad seat in the place.

Hands down discriminate against other teams fans. We came down from Chicago and were treated terribly by fans and by the staff. Melisa is a security person working there and is very disrespectul and unprofessoinal. We will never return for a game(to watch the Blues lose) nor will we visit this terrible arena again. We have passed the word among friends.

I came for a concert. As far as larger arenas go it’s large. I give it a four because I have no real complaints. We parked close by(for $ 20). The parking folks were great. We got in without a hassle or a line. We were running late(as was a whole lot of other folks) but that didn’t make a difference. The staff directing you to your seats were helpful with people stationed at the end of the stairs to make sure we didn’t fall in our high heeled shoes(what I’m short? I can’t see over heads without them). We had floor seats but that didn’t help much. First rows of the stadium seats had a better view I’m sure. But that’s not the stadium staff’s fault. As someone in another review mentioned it’s not a great concert venue. I prefer Chavitz for location and size and of course really love the closeness of The Pageant or The Fox if I can get it. But if people I like are playing here and the price is right I’ll be back. I’ll just pick my seats better! I didn’t pay for vending, bought my merch outside with the street vender(bad I know but his shirts looked better). I even managed to not use the restroom since returning to the hotel was easier than standing in the line for the ladies room.

Nice venue for a concert! I was very impressed with the ease of parking and getting into the venue. It was very easy to move around the venue and the staff were all very nice to us! After the concert aside from the annoying wait in the parking ramp caused by everyone thinking they need to get out NOW, once we did, the exit was super smooth and we were on our way in just a few minutes! Great evening!

Eh, I’m not thrilled with this arena it seems pretty dated. The food options are laughable and the all-around vibe I get from this place is that of a 1987 roller rink that transforms into family ice skating night for the winter. It is certainly a functional space and any event I have seen there features good sight lines. However, entering this venue is a demolition derby and not very well organized. Once you walk in through the doors, getting to the security line and ticket takers is a free-for-all with no apparent queues or staff to direct people on where to go. It is more or less a cattle shuffle until you find some semblance of a ticket agent stand, I think that could be a lot better.

Blues hockey is my absolute favorite thing in the entire world. So coming to see my favorite boys play here is like heaven on earth for me. The overall experience is great. Yes, there is nothing quite like the view at Busch, but I will say that even if you don’t watch hockey, you WILL enjoy yourself here. It is always a good time. So make sure you get here early. The parking garage is around 20 bucks typically, which is pretty pricey in my opinion. So just go across the street on Clark and park in the lot. It’s typically 15 or 20. Club seats are awesome here! You sit in this section that is in the lower bowl, center but it is sectioned off from the rest of the plaza seating. You arrive at your seat and you are assigned a waiter who gives you a menu. Then you basically just tell him or her what you want, and then they bring it back to you without you having to get up. They have the main staples like nachos, hotdogs, popcorn, chicken strips. It’s unlimited. It’s so worth it. Pretty awesome too because you definitely do not want to be THAT person getting up a thousand times and blocking everyone. Things happen so fast in hockey, and people are pretty serious about seeing everything. Please, do not be THAT person. I LOVE the student nights that they have. Seriously. It’s so nice of them to do that. You can sit lower bowl for 42 a ticket or mezzanine for 24. You can order them online, or you can show up to the box office before the game, have your student ID, and get a great priced ticket. I have completely taken advantage of student nights through high school, and now college. I go to the Blues games for my birthday every year with around 10 – 15 friends. Kyle who works in sales here is so helpful and always finds a great spot for us. I also have seen a lot of shows here. Most lately, Taylor Swift and John Mayer. The sound isn’t as great here if you sit in the back. I would definitely recommend paying a little more if you can to sit closer. It’s worth it. Let’s go blues!

I have attended several games here over the years — it has always been a fun experience, but I do wish they kept their bathrooms a little cleaner. The«ballpark» food selection is o. k — they have added things like turkey burgers and pulled pork sandwiches. Everything tastes… alright. Nothing you would seek out specifically. If you end up having seats at the top of the stadium(when you’re buying the cheap ass seats), be prepared to have a STEEP climb — I almost always feel like I’m going to topple down dozens of rows of people if I accidentally lean back at all while walking up. All in all, it is a good place to catch a hockey game.

Its an average arena. I was in Chicago the night before, and took a road trip via Amtrak with 50 Ducks fans to see our Ducks play the Blues. Pro: The cost for tickets are CHEAP. Our lower bowl seats were $ 60, compared to the $ 100 upstairs seats in Chicago. Con: The workers don’t want to be there, and it shows. Dull arena, and a dull downtown. Upon arrival, I circled the arena twice to see what to get for dinner. I didn’t want a crappy pizza or hot dog, and«settled» for the worse fish and chips. How can they ruin frozen fish? To top it off, they had no malt vinegar or lemon. The tartar sauce was warm, and I wanted a fork, which took the lady 10 minutes to locate. The lady who helped us was so grouchy, I don’t think she really wanted to be there, but had to in order to collect a pay check. Our seats were in the lower bowl, but the top half. The fans were nice for the most part, except the drunk a section over. He kept blowing his stupid horn, and was getting more beligerant, even though my Ducks beat his team 5 – 2. At the end he bellowed«F» the Ducks, that I had to tell him to shut his mouth, as there were children nearby. I know there’s jerks all over the country. Would I go back to St. Louis? Probably not. The city is a dump, and there’s nothing to do in the downtown area. Every time I complain about how crappy Honda Center is, I have to remember that St. Louis is worse.

Having just reviewed the«hockey» experience here, I am going to switch gears here. Before the game last night, the wife and I decided to check out the Bud Light Sports Zone for dinner. We weren’t sure what to expect really, having never been there. Years ago, as an intern for the Blues, I had walked around the place a few times, but that was about it. Back then it was a season ticket holders kind of place, and I’ve never had the money to be a season ticket holder. Either way, we were seated along the rail overlooking the ice, which is my equivalent to a rooftop view of the sunset dipping behind the French Riviera. Service was kind of slow. Being pre-season, only a few tables were occupied, so I would have expected a bit more from the service staff. However, slow does not equate to horrible. Amanda was our server, and she was exceptionally nice. She apologized repeatedly for the slow service, and actually spent some time with us, welcoming us to the first game of the season(pre-season home opener) and really answering all of our questions about the food, recommendations, and the drink selection. It’s hard to complain about longer waits between visits when your server is consistently giving each table this kind of attention, so we let it slide. And really, in fairness, we were waiting for my sister and her friend to show up, and the waits may have seemed longer because of our time crunch. As far as the food is concerned, Mrs. S. chose the house side salad with house dressing and flat bread pizza. I took a burger with fries, and the white chicken nachos for an appetizer. Mrs. S was not pleased at all with the salad, and the dressing itself was unappealing to her entirely. The flat bread pizza was very good though. My burger was good, but not the best I’ve had. It was different, however, as it came with Thousand Island dressing on the side. That was a first for me, but it was quite tasty! The nachos were also pretty good, but not what I was hoping for. Amanda did us a solid by taking the salad off the ticket. When she noticed it was pretty much untouched, she asked about it, and promptly offered to remove it from the list. She also apologized yet again for the slower service, and threw in that she had the owners table, and they were keeping her quite busy. I had noticed she was making several trips to the table, but it wasn’t until she pointed out who they were that I paid any attention to the people sitting at the table and recognized our new owner, Tom Stillman enjoying a beer before the game! I suppose when you are serving the owners of a professional hockey team, you do tend to make an extra trip or two their way! Over all, the food was good. We wont’ be going here for every game, but there are occasions where this is a good option. Next time I may try the Cher’s Buffet, just to try out more things.

I wish that I had more of an attachment to this place… As a kid, I remember going to the old Arena. The memories that I have of it still hold fond after all this time. They closed its doors in May of 1994, only to erect the Kiel Center down the road, now referred to as Scottrade Center. For starters, I absolutely hated the name changes. I get it. We sell our brand to the highest bidder, but the Kiel name had been synonymous with St. Louis for a century. Perhaps it’s not as glamorous as the Budweider/Busch tie-in of the baseball stadium, but why shouldn’t we continue to honor Mayor Henry Kiel, who played a role in constructing the opera house and auditorium where the Scottrade Center now stands? As for the building itself, it’s fine. Like many of my Unilocal brethren and sistren, I don’t find anything special about an arena. However, I do find interest the people who patronize it. Just like the people in red who support the Cardinals down the street, Blues fans are insane and amazing. It’s almost unexplainable how people stay hockey fans after all the awful things ownership and players have done to the sport. However, St. Louis comes out and supports its Blues. Another thing that bothers me about Scottrade is the location. Busch Stadium is surrounded by places to go, and it’s only going to get better when they finally get Ballpark Village in motion. Even Edward Jones has the Landing! Scottrade has Union Station, a venue with very little appeal, and it continues to deteriorate through time. If we were to build around the arena like Busch Stadium, hockey games could become more of an event. As for parking and convenience, those aspects might be Scottrade’s strengths. The Metro Link makes it fairly easy for county folk to get to the games, and it does help with finding places to go before and after the game. Also, parking is pretty cheap around the venue. We usually don’t pay more than five dollars to park. Concerts can be pretty disappointing there, too. I’ve seen U2, Madonna, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, and many more. Getting onto the floor is pretty neat experience, but watching from the cheap seats can be a bit of an adventure. Seating is pretty tight up there, and I often feel like I’m about to fall. Therefore, placement truly dictates the concert experience. I want to love you, Scottrade, but it would help if I could call you Kiel, baby.
