Mobil On The Run

Brand new. We lit. And cheap sodas when the Cards win.

I have driven by a number of times but it wasn’t until I needed to redeem a winning scratcher ticket that I decided to stop in and I have to admit that this is probably one of the nicer Mobil stations I have been in.
First off the layout is great, with pumps on both sides of the building and several parking spots right in the middle. This makes parking and navigating the lot very easy. Once inside I was pleasantly surprised, multiple flat screen monitors showcasing sales and products, while the large windows let en enough natural light. The store was very clean and had a wide variety of items. The staff was friendly too.

Yeah, I’m reviewing a gas station. What of it?!
Anyway, they tore down the dingy, old Mobil Mart & built an awesome Mobil On The Run, much to the chagrin of the neighboring homes. However, this gas station is super fly. They have kick ass fountain drinks (42oz for $ 1.09 — get some) of all varieties & you can add flavoring to any of them (hello, Diet Mountain Dew with cherry flavoring). There is also a taquito/​hot dog station, beer, wine, big time coffee station, and other gas-​stationy stuff too — gum, peanuts, gas, smokes, what not.
I like that they expanded the lousy old Mobil that was there, because it was terrible. This is basically the only gas station for approximately a mile either way, so expansion was totally necessary.
I will say that there are some weird restrictions on which way you can enter or leave the gas station (thank you, neighboring homes & Kirkwood zoning laws). AND, it seems that this has become a new unofficial police substation for the area. Just throwing that out there, folks.
The store is bright, modern & the bathrooms are probably very clean (I’ve not yet had the need to use the ones here, due to the proximity to my house). Anyway, they have the stuff you need & is a vast improvement over its predecessor.
RIP Mobil Mart — we had 14 years of good times.
