We had an incredible experience!!! The food was amazing! We loved the entire evening. We enjoyed everything from the appetizer to the dessert! The ambiance was wonderful as well. The service was excellent too. We had two of their specials and they were cooked to perfection. Thanks for making a special night EXTRA special. We will definitely come back and bring the entire family. Thanks for the great experience! The Winter Family

Overall, a nice dinner. Delicious arancini appetizer, however I could not detect the beef they were supposed to be stuffed with. I got the salmon, which was good. House salad was delicious! I’ll be back.

Great option on The Hill. Food is good, service is good and you leave stuffed. Exactly the kind of meal you should have on The Hill.

One of my favorites on The Hill! Consistent service, variety of food on the menu as well as specials and a moderately priced wine list with Italian varietals. Very traditional dining room but spacious and pretty. I’ve had the chicken speidini multiple times and it is delicious. Served with a white wine linguini and asparagus, then stuffed with spinach and cheese. So good! Their calamari is also delicious and I love their Caesar salad. They’re always accommodating with modifications and usually you can get a table, even on a busy night. I attribute this to good management because many other places on The Hill say they’re booked but could probably work out some options to serve more people. If you have a special occasion, they have a small private room next to the kitchen that’s really nice!

Love this place. Reminds me of the Italian restaurants on the Hill when I was growing up but with a more modern menu. Sat in the dining room this time but try the kitchen table if you can

This place has really gone downhill! Made a reservation for 20 for a special B-day party asked to bring in cupcakes just to pass out, they were already individually boxed, was told there would be a $ 2.00 charge per cup cake, place was very empty for a Friday night. I almost cancelled the reservation because of this, I wished i would have. The beef special was served semi-cold and was not good at all, pasta was very plain. Scallop appetizer was cooked well on the inside but no sear on the outside the vegetable ragout was very good the best part of my whole meal. No one was happy with their meal except those who ordered the salmon which was good. I won’t be back. must say waiter was very good.

The food at Lorenzo’s was top notch. Definitely get the veal risotto — wow! We love going here because the restaurant itself is a bit more updated than others on the hill(not wood paneling everywhere), and the atmosphere is really relaxed and nice. Service was great and all around 5 stars!

Was ok, but nothing memorable. The mushroom tortellini was good, but the risotto was overcooked and the chicken in it was overcooked and tasted a though it had been previously refrigerated and had a off taste. The salads were good, pretty typical of the area. Nothing memorable. In general, it was an ok experience since there was an hour wait at Zia’s and we were able to be seated right away, but clearly there is a reason for that. Ok in a pinch. Wouldn’t make a special trip to the Hill for this place.

I ordered the salmon entrée and my boyfriend ordered the sea bass. We both shared one of the specials, an appetizer, which was the seafood ravioli with lobster, shrimp & scallops smothered in yummy cheesy herb sauce. All of our dishes tastped good but i liked what i would eat here again!

Waited almost 2 hours for food. Our waiter didn’t check on us for about an hour of that, let alone even look at us. The manager acted like it wasn’t his problem and just simply offered to comp one bottle of wine instead of apologizing. It seemed like other tables were having the same issue as well. The only reason I’m not giving this place 1 star is because the food was terrific. Everything we ordered was great, albeit not worth a 2 and a half hour visit.

Good food, good service and huge portions. Cream/whipped cheese that comes already in your table is best when eaten with their garlic sticks. Calamari was well flavored and tasty. I ordered Veal Picatta that came with Spinach and Parpadelle. It was a huge serving for me which I felt bad not being able to take the left overs since I was traveling for business. Also tried the ravioli appetizer stuffed with cheese and they were tasty. Not much of wine selections to choose from. Will probably try other places when I am back in the area to find the best Italian on «THEHILL»

I really wish I could give Lorenzo’s more than 3 stars but their lack in consistency and a particular server really brought this place down. My first 2 visits were great. We had decent service and really enjoyed our bruschetta and chicken spiedini. My next 2 visits were not as good. The same chicken spiedini dish was tasteless and service was not good and even awkward. My last visit the service really did it in for me, our same server as last visit was just as awkward he was even asking inappropriate questions. I don’t think we’ll be going back anytime soon.

We’ve been to this restaurant twice, so far, and been really happy with our meals and dining experience! Everything we have ordered was amazing! Highly recommend!

The wife and I both had the Italian Sausage pizza, she with the garden salad, mine with the Bibb salad. Both the salads were fresh and tasty. The pizza was tasty but the sauce was a little too sweet for our tastebuds. I had a Margarita from the bar and the wife stuck with her usual iced tea. Service was excellent! Total for the meal was $ 62 with tip. In my estimation, a little steep for pizza and salad.

Very enjoyable. Started at the bar w cocktails around 1630 on sunday. I was a bit worried… we were the only customers. The restaurant started filling up after we sat down at a table. The calamari was very good but the cannelloni was even better… the sauce and the ricotta were delicious. The tuna was good but my wife’s tutto mare was better. The cannoli we split at the end of the dinner was an excellent way to end it. We left pleased with the restaurant and the service. Mark M

I had dinner here on a Monday with some business associates. We had early reservations and were probably their second table of the evening. We started off in the bar c with a couple of Martinis and service there was perfect. Our table was set and we moved from the bar to the table and had some fantastic mussels as well as their bruschetta, which was really outstanding as well. For an entrée, I had a ribeye special that was absolutely amazing! Mt dinner companions also were raving about their food as well. Served with a nice Barolo, the main course was simply perfect! We also ordered desert, and I had to try the bacon ice cream. It was really amazing! I would highly recommend this establishment for any occasion!

There’s an eclectic feel as you walk in through the doors. The space is open and nice. The hostess and wait staff are pleasant. The menu is a 2 pager featuring a few apps, salads, pizzas, pasta and meat dishes. We were told to try their gnocchi. I ordered the house salad, spinach gnocchi, and braised osso bucco. The house salad was a pile of lightly dressed romaine lettuce, with toasted pistachios, and a good sprinkle of shredded Parmesan cheese. The dish didn’t look elegant; looked like a salad you find at an Applebee’s. There was so much greens that they were ready to slide off the plate. The spinach gnocchi had a nice sauce, but the gnocchi itself was very mushy and didn’t have the right texture. Although the portion size for the osso bucco was large, the presentation could be better. This dish is served with a saffron risotto an orange gremulata. The osso bucco sits on top of the risotto with its sauce covering the risotto. What’s the point of flavoring the risotto with an expensive ingredient like saffron if you’re going to cover it up with a meaty sauce. You’ll lose the delicate nuances of the saffron! Overall, the food lacked flavor and salt.

Best italian food I have had in a long time. Every place in area had wait so we decided to call here was worried about being judged due to our bocce attire but no problem there. Food was great service was great love the way inside is set up think I have my new favorite place. Menu is a little small but stick to what you do well and it works.

The décor makes this place look remarkably like a nursing home or the lobby of an undistinguished hotel, so I can’t say that I was particularly optimistic about dinner here. But then at every step of the meal I was more and more impressed. That butter sitting on the table with the bread? It’s actually gorgonzola butter, and it’s delicious. The bruschetta, calamari, etc. The bruschetta seemed to have made with good, local, heirloom tomatoes, and it was delicious too. My caesar salad? It had an overwhelming dose of umami, in the cheese, a parmesan crisp, and a heavy hand with the anchovies. All delicious. For an entrée they have multiple kinds of homemade gnocchi, etc. These were probably the least impressive part of the meal, but they were still very good. And they also have a bottle of good Nebbiolo for only $ 40.

Quite possibly the best business meal I’ve had thus far. I was entertaining a couple of out-of-town people and needed a spot where we could have a leisurely dinner and a conversation that was not meant for the general public. At the suggestion of a friend/co-worker, I reached out to Lorenzo’s after spotting their Chef Room on their website. So glad I did… I was the first to arrive and was shown the room. You basically walk into the kitchen and find this small dining room on the right side between the double doors leading to the dining room and the line where the cooks are working their magic. From the single table in this room you can see into the kitchen through a large window and through the glass door. It is an absolutely private place for a meal for no more than 8 people. We were a party of four so we had plenty of room. First up was a bottle of wine. I can’t remember the name, didn’t pick it but did enjoy a couple of glasses. Expert wine service from our waitress, Melissa. Next up were the appetizers. The first one was a perfect bruschetta. Tomatoes were perfectly ripe, balsamic had a nice bite, bread was toasted but not emaciated and the basil was so flavorful. The second appetizer was a special of the day that included flash-fried scallops, shrimp, peppers, onions and mushrooms. For those of you following along at home… that’s right, I ordered something with mushrooms and accidentally tried one of the things. Maybe it was the amazingly light batter or maybe it was the gorgeous lemon-garlic ailoi but I actually liked the thing. That said, I didn’t deliberately eat another one. Salads followed and I opted for their caprese. Yes, it was basically the salad version of one of the appetizers but it seemed like the thing to do since garden fresh basil is very close to becoming extinct for the next 6 months. Great stuff! The others at the table ordered the osso bucco, a pasta dish and a fish dish — all reported enjoying them greatly. I went for the barramundi and enjoyed it thoroughly. It arrived with a lemon & white wine sauce with a couple of different types of capers and was draped over a bed of sauteed spinach and a polenta cake. Everything was fantastic! Perfectly seasoned and expertly prepared. If you couldn’t tell from the preceding paragraphs, we ate a big dinner and skipped dessert. The service was impeccable and we were able to have a great meal and a great meeting all in the same place. I will certainly keep this place at the top of the list for business dinners in the future!
