Ladue Nail and Spa

Will NEVER go back to this place! Twice now I have waited and watched while other (white) people without appointments have been taken ahead of me. When I asked why or asked where I was in the que, they placatingly told me someone would be right with me. The first time, I waited like a fool, trying not to be suspicious and giving them the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe they were just busy and disorganized. After my second visit, which was today, I’m left with no doubt — this place could care less about having my business. Multiple available technicians passed me, made no eye contact and just took another person behind me. I finally said I would wait no longer and was leaving. To say they seemed indifferent would be putting it lightly.
And for the doubters, I’m not being overly sensitive or pulling the race card. It just is what it is, and I want to put other people on notice so that they can avoid the disregard and disrespect that I felt.

I’ve been going to this place for awhile and it’s a hit or a miss. Today was the last straw. After the chick harassed me while I was trying to pick out my color– she kept asking me if I had found a color. Obviously not if I’m still looking!
Then when she was painting my nails she said she didn’t like the color and that it is too light, she prefers darker colors. Um congratulations?!
Here’s the real kicker… She looked down at my stomach at one point and said «oohhh! You have a baby!» I’M NOT PREGNANT!!! What in gods name?! People really ask that?! By the way in 5’2″ and 120 pounds. Not that it matters, you should never ask a lady that unless you see a baby coming out between her legs! That’s all I have to say. They don’t even deserve one star. I’ll never be back.

After being abroad for 2 years I wanted to treat my mom to something nice and share a fun experience with her. We came as walk-​ins and were serviced right away. They had a wide selection of polishes and the salon has a relaxed, upscale feel. Lots of sunlight. We had our pedicures upstairs. They used a new set of tools so everything was very sanitary. The staff was very pleasant and kind. Definitely would come back here. Prices are fine.

This is a nice two floor nail salon which I went to for the first time on a Saturday with my three sister-​in-​laws. We made a reservation for us four girls to sit together; however when I went upstairs there were only three empty chairs next to each other. One of us was running late but she still had to stand and wait for the other customer to finish so that she could sit next to us. That’s not good!
They have an extensive selection of nail polish colors which is nice. It’s a very spacious salon but I’m not used to having both my toes and hands painted in the same place (i.e. as in after your toes are painted, they sit and do your hands right there too and you have to cross your arms so that they can paint the other hand).
I paid an extra $ 5 to have my previous gel manicure which was fine. They tried to upsell me to get a deluxe pedicure but I stayed firm wanting just their regular pedicure. The moisturizing and massage part wasn’t that long, which is always disappointing. Plus their chairs only recline and there are no vibrating or massage functions which I usually enjoy at other salons.
Overall, my nails look great and I’m happy with them. But the fact that our reservation wasn’t fully accommodating for four people and the pamper aspect wasn’t fully there– it was an A-​OK experience. At the very least I greatly enjoyed my time with my sister-​in-​laws!

I’ve been looking for a new nail salon to call home, and I’ve finally found it! First, the appearance is the store is spacious and attractive. As soon as I entered, I was immediately helped and didn’t have to wait for service. I liked the many pedicure options they have compared to many of the chop shops that just have «Pedicure». My nail technician didn’t pester or force me into getting a toe nail design; actually, she didn’t ask (THANK YOU JESUS!!) The gel manicure was done in an appropriate timeframe as well. My technician wasn’t really sociable, but I won’t hold that against her because I appreciate her allowing me to relax.
The greatest factor is that this place is extremely clean. There was no sight of used pedicure flip flops or trash. The pedicure cheers and manicure stations were nearly lined up and not cluttered with the previous customer’s polish choices. The nail polishes have a neat case. The bathroom is really clean. Also, new pedicure utensils were used. Parking could be better because it’s pretty tight. Overall, I left completely satisfied

I love this place I moved and needed to find a new salon that does good gel and they are awesome! Great pedicures, and brow waxes too. Everyone there is overly friendly and they will make you feel pampered. They have went out of their way multiple times to do designs on my nails perfect as the pictures. Very reasonable prices.

Pros: Clean, Speedy and Efficient Services, Nice Décor, Mostly Polite Staff
Cons: Some of the staff have poor attitudes and the ones who are polite stop being polite when its time to pay.
Backstory: I have been coming here for awhile. I enjoy the services but I cannot give 5 starts wholeheartedly. Was late for my appointment with Vinny on Friday 08/​21, but he squeeze me in anyway. I like Vinny to do my nails, because he’s not racist. He always completes all of his services and then meets me at the counter so I can pay. The women who work here ask for payment before they polish my nails. They never ask white clients to pay first before polish. First of all, if I was going to stiff you, me not paying before you polish doesn’t help you. You’ve already done my fill-​in and scrubbed my feet, massaged my hands, feet and legs. I can go home and paint my own nails. But I’m not shady and don’t like being regarded as such. Vinny gets tipped and well… the women don’t because they think all black people will stiff them. Finish my services and then ask for tender. Business is handled at the counter, not at a service station where services are not complete.

The facilities are beautiful. They don’t try to up-​sell and they let you pick what you want from menu without hassle. The quality is consistent. I’ve always been pleased with my nails. They also have a good supply of quality polishes (OPI and another brand that I can’t think of right now.). The only thing that they could do better is get more current magazines.

The worst manicure I’ve ever received. The nail tech argued with me about the color I chose, suggesting another one would be better. I told her I appreciated the suggestion but I’ll stick with what I chose. She proceeded to paint my nails with the color she chose. I asked her to start over and she seemed very annoyed and bothered. After my nails were done, instead of massaging my hands and forearms with lotion, she opted for rubbing alcohol. Yes, she was rubbing my entire hand with rubbing alcohol. At that point I got up, washed my hands, paid, and got the heck out of there.

My nail girl did my French toe pedicure very well. Very clean and detailed. The massage was simple but still nice.
Only fault is that the massage chair was broken unfortunately.
But I asked for water and coffee, and someone gave me bottled water and hot coffee. I thought it was great that it was complimentary.
Price was decent. $ 29 for a French pedi.
Would visit again for nails and service.

Gel nail polish peels after a few days. which means the polish is fake (purchased from China) or old. Some nail techs are nice but most have bad attitudes, Clayton Nail Spa, down the street, is much better.

While the salon interior is really nice, I was not overly happy with the value or experience. The pedicure seemed rather rushed on the pampering aspect (basically no massage and minimal moisturizing) and the whole experience basically seemed like a race to slap some polish on my toes and get me out the door as quickly as possible.
Also, the water was super hot and my feet were basically jammed into the tub without any regard as to testing the heat of the water or asking me if the temperature was okay.
Note: the parking lot is super small and if you have to street park it is only one hour parking.
All in all, not a great experience.

They treat you not as good if you come in just for a color change on your toes or hands. Learn customer service and aim to make your customers happy!

I usually go to the one on Ladue rd or to another salon altogether. I’ll tell you that I will NEVER go back to this location.
The building itself is nice, and they have an astounding gel polish selection, and that’s really the only nice thing that I can say about it.
I signed in for a pedicure and gel manicure. After almost 30 minutes, I was ushered to the pedicure area to an empty bowl. The little man that was back there finally filled up the bowl — with lukewarm water. It was almost too cold for me to stand.
I selected the pedicure with a 10 minute foot massage, and I would have fared better asking my 4 year old to rub my feet.
Still waiting on that manicure, as my tech either didn’t read my request or decided she didn’t feel like doing it anymore. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough!

I’ve been here a few times and it’s always been okay enough, nothing to write home about. I like to give businesses the benefit of the doubt, but the last time warrants a review. The girl I had must have had no idea what she was doing. It took forever for a simple manicure, she nicked my cuticle, and over all sloppy polish job. Basically I could have done a better job myself. Won’t be coming back.

I love getting my nails did but this is not the place to go. I was visiting for the weekend and needed a pedi/​mani. I love getting my nails done while on vacation. I was looking forward to a nice pedi/​mani but this place is speedy to a fault. It took them 20 mins and it looks pretty bad. The ladies are nice but I would go somewhere else.

My husband and I were looking for a place to get pedicures done without any notice, and Ladue Nail and Spa had room for two walk-​ins. As we pulled up, we both remarked at how nice it looked from the outside. The inside impressed us, too. We didn’t have to wait more than 3 minutes before they took both of us back for pedicures.
The pedicure itself was average. Nothing special, nothing to complain about either. The lady that did mine chatted with her friends quite a bit, but that didn’t bother me at all since I didn’t want to make small talk. For the price and location, I’ll probably be back again.

I don’t know how this place has such a low rating… I’ve been here twice and been super impressed. Mani/​pedis both times and eyebrow wax once. I’m super picky about my eyebrows, but it was the second best wax I’ve ever had. My nails turned out great both times and stayed longer than I expected. I don’t plan on going anywhere else to get my nails done!

I came here for a mani/​pedi before a weekend trip out of town. This spa is near my apartment and looks super nice from the outside so I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to visit.
When I entered, I was promptly greeted by their staff and was escorted upstairs to a pedicure chair. The pedicure pedicure was exactly what I expected and worth what they charged for it. However, the manicure sucked. I felt rushed because they did the manicure while I was still in the pedicure chair. They weren’t busy and they had manicure stations open… so I don’t understand why they had it organized this way. Also the quality of the manicure was horrible. She didn’t finish the tips of my nails… so they chipped the very next day.
I won’t be back to visit. Even though this spa appears nicer on the outside that other nearby spas, the quality is subpar and just not worth the money.

This is such a lovely nail salon in STL. The décor is super beautiful and really classy! I just got the deluxe pedicure and I thought it was just a standard pedi…
It is really great for groups (i.e., bridal parties, birthday parties, etc.) who want to get their nails done together. Everyone in our group seemed really satisfied with their services.
Only con is it is a little pricey.
