Awesome place! Kaya is very nice and informative… she always asks me what I usually like, my price point and then will recommend a couple that she feels fits what I am looking for. And they are always excellent recommendations! Also, she is open to taking suggestions to bring in new varietals.

We’ve been going to the Friday wine tastings off and on for a while now. The owner is very friendly and informative. No pretensions from her or any of the friendly regulars. We’ve found some great wines through these tastings, some of them a real bargain. They draw a pretty big crowd on Fridays. Check it out if you’re a whiner. I mean winer… I mean an oenophile…

I’ve been a customer at Kaya’s Wine & Spirits for a number of years. It’s a great place to buy, drink and learn about wine. As the other posts have mentioned, Kaya’s has wine tasting every Friday evening. TIP: Check out their Facebook page or sign up for a weekly email to find out what wines are being poured before you come. They also post special priced items online too. The other amazing thing about Kaya’s is the number of long-time customer’s. I’ve learned as much from them as I have the owner… a wonderful lady named Kata. The selection is great and the prices are very reasonable. If you like wine(they have beer and spirits too) then you have to stop by and check it out.

Yesterday was my first trip to Kaya’s in south St. Louis County. I popped in to grab a bottle to enjoy on the porch last night and walked out with 3 bottles. That was the result of a very nice conversation with the salesperson(manager? owner?). She was informative and friendly without any purchase pressure at all. I’m looking forward to a Friday evening visit for the wine tasting. There is quite a bit of space devoted to seating which is a nice touch for the free tasting sessions.

I’ve been going to Kaya’s for a decade now. Yes it’s in a strip mall, but once inside, you’ll find a collection of wine and spirits that will make you forget you’re in South County. Personally, I frequent Kaya’s for the extensive selection of Croatian wine, beer and liquor, but they do a swell job of stocking other worldly spirits. Every Friday from 5−8pm, Kaya hosts a wine tasting and also serves complimentary cheese, sausage and crackers. Check it out! You’re also welcome to purchase a bottle onsite and enjoy it without being charged a corkage fee. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself walking out with gifts for every family member… Kaya’s has something for the imbiber in everyone!

You would not expect to find this place across from South County Mall, nestled between a tanning salon and a somewhat scary looking dentists office, but there it is, and it’s fabulous. Every Friday, Kaya’s has wine tasting on their patio from 5 – 8PM. Shockingly enough, the wine they serve you at this fine South County establishment, are pretty darn good. It’s a great way to relax before heading out for the evening. I really enjoy just sitting here and sipping down a bottle of wine with a few friends before heading out for the night. It’s a great atmosphere and the people that work here are incredibly knowledgeable and more than willing to give the lowdown on any wine you are wanting to try. They also have a huge selection of wine, beers and spirits. If you are looking for something a little better than say Boone’s Farm or your standard 12 pack of Bud Light to bring to a party, this is a great little place to stop in. Also, they make gift baskets and have classes to teach you how to appreciate and really taste wine. Pretty cool little store for South County in my humble opinion.
