Had I been posting on this site about two years ago, this store would have easily gotten a 5⁄5 from me. The store itself is still one of the nicest stores in town with a very solid selection of games. The big reason for the drop is the change over of the staff. When Chris used to be the store manager, he and his employees were awesome. They provided great customer service, new the products inside and out, and always went out of their way to make the customer’s feel welcome. Since the change in managers, all but one of the old staff members have left or been let go. I walk in now and I am lucky if I even get a hello. Normally I am not big on the idea of customer entitlement, but after all the money and years I have come into that store(usually three times a week), I do feel like I should at least be asked how I am doing. Worst of all is that when I go in to trade during one of their trade promotions, I constantly have to remind their people that there is a special going on. I never had to do this with the old staff, or at any other Game Stop location. Because of this, I had not stepped foot into their store in over six months, opting to go to Best Buy or Slackers instead for my gaming needs. I went in a few days ago for the first time in a while hoping that things had changed. No greeting, no one asked if I needed help, and I was not even greeted at the counter. All that was said to me was the following: «Is this all today?» «Do want to preorder anything?» «There’s a survey on the receipt, please take it.» Wow. Yeah, I took the survey. I’m sure you will not like the result. Funny part about this… the person behind the counter was the store manager. Damn, I miss the old days.
