Stopped in here waiting for a concert to start. Had both coffee and adult beverages. Service was friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was pleasant, good music, kept clean. Cocktails were tasty. The coffee was of good quality and well-brewed. The on tap beers were all local and tasty as well, a nice variety. We also had a cookie, which was delicious. I would recommend it.

This coffee bar and music venue is located in the hipster area of St. Louis, the Cherokee district. I got there early in the day and there was a cool hipster chick making the coffee drinks. I tried what they had to offer and I really liked my drink. I would go there again.

The somewhat cavernous feel of this place, which I suppose is necessary to host shows at night, always strikes me as a bit odd during the day. That said, you can get a very decent cup of coffee here without the noise and hassle you’d find at many other coffee shops.

We stopped here to get warm on our day antique shopping on Cherokee street. It was early afternoon so we were one of the few patrons in the place. It looked like they were getting ready to set up for a live music performance later on. We sat at the bar and loved the prices! Beers for 2 to 4 dollars, coffee for a little more than a dollar, and affordable cocktails. I just got a cup of coffee but Dan got a beer. The staff was friendly but the overall feel of the place was a little tired. I bet it really lights up at night but during the day it is a little less to be desired. We want to come back at night when they have live music and see how it is.

Decent coffee. Homemade vanilla syrup is amazing. Order an iced vanilla latte. No caramel syrup though. More of a bar with coffee on the side

Foam is easily one of the best smaller venues in the city to catch some cool tunes. The environment is cozy and personable. The staff is friendly and attentive. You can expect to be treated like a grown-up here, and there’s an air of casualness and respect that is missing from other smaller venues. The coffee and draft selection is great. There isn’t much in the way of food, but there are some nosh-type options that are plenty tasty. The prices are really reasonable, and it’s likely one of the few places you’ll go where you can get 4 lattes, Billy Goat chips, a slice of cake and a stout on a tab while listening to a killer Jazz set. If that doesn’t sound like a good time, I don’t know what does. The acoustics aren’t the best, but the energy of the music is definitely there. It’s quite intimate and there’s a good vibe between audience and band. Purveyors of good coffee, beer, and music — check this space.

I’ve played and attended multiple shows at Foam. It is a great spot to see local musicians. The stage is floor level, enabling the intimacy of a house show while also providing the service of a bar. The drink choices are not overly extensive, but they have everything you need.

I ordered a mocha and it was very yummy. The live music was awesome and they had quick customer service. I also loved the décor.

Decent drinks. They host surprisingly good local music here. Don’t miss the modern seating area on the other side of the joint if you need a breather or room for a conversation.

Well we arrived in St. Lou ready to do some work, and we were looking for the coffee shop we went to last time in town called Mud, but we went the wrong way and came upon FOAM which looked cool so we went in. The barista/bartender was very sweet and nice and talked with us a bit, We were talking about traveling as a band and then someone in the place offered to sell us some weed, which we politely declined and then sat to work! We thought it was slightly strange they did it out loud in front of everyone in the place. The coffee was great, and the places was really cool. They have rock shows there and I think it’s the perfect size joint to go see some music. A man was setting up to play as we left for dinner! Everyone is the place was super nice and talkative! So it seems like a spot that has some regulars! Check it out when your in town!

After looking at some pictures on the Internet of Foam, my husband and I decided to give this place a shot. It seemed inviting. Unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed. Upon arriving, the bar tender informed us that the Internet was down and that we would have to walk to another bar to get cash to pay for our drinks. After returning with said cash, we ordered a chai and a cappuccino. The drinks were not worth the effort. The chai was bland and barely warm. The cappuccino was watery, burned and almost entirely thin, sudsy foam. If you are looking for quality coffee, stay away.

I want to like Foam more. I really do. I want to steal some of their décor. It has a pretty good vibe. I am not a coffee drinker, but I love chai. Their chai was watered down and flavorless. My partner said her coffee was less than good. One amazing drink I tried: Summer Bourbon Smash. Bourbon, strawberries, and balsamic vinegar. Probably one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. It was tiny for $ 7.50, but I enjoyed every last drop. If friends are going, I’d probably go back. Maybe it will grow on me.

I’m not big into coffee shops. They usually are pretentious, crowded, and filled with people I typically don’t want to hang with. But I liked Foam. First of all, it wasn’t packed. And the tables aren’t on top of each other like at other places. I found a table and was super comfortable in my little area. They have free Wi-Fi. And they serve a Cubano coffee which is one of my favs. I’d easily come back. You can’t really eat much here. They only have a few snackable items.

Bumping them up a star. Their coffee is frigging good, and it turns out this is an excellent place to slave away on a laptop. A very self-punishing place to work, you can sit at the awesome wooden table in front on the comfortable-if-you’re-in-them-for-less-than-thirty –minutes stools and hover on the brink of seizure at the constant flash of headlights in your face, reminding you that you, too, have ADD. Glance up occasionally to watch the nightlife of people who actually have lives. Loud pounding music, while headache inducing, drowns out the lame-ass conversations of other customers so you can focus on getting ahead in your dead-end job. I sort of wondered if the hipster barista guy felt sorry for me that I had to work on a Saturday night, until I realized that, um, he was at work on a Saturday night. Anyway, to summarize: –This coffee shop is nice. –They have good coffee. –You should find a job you really love so that you can just go here and hang with actual friends instead of going here to make love to your only friend, your laptop.

Pretty chill atmosphere, not too rowdy, but then again it was a Tuesday night. I ordered a white chocolate espresso, friend ordered a hazelnut coffee. I don’t believe that’s on the menu, by the way, so if there’s any flavour you think they would have but don’t see, feel free to ask and you may be surprised. Awesome shop though, in an interesting and ethnic(Mexican) part of town, which I didn’t know existed. I’ll be back.

I do love me some Foam… yes I do. I’ve been here a few times for meetings and most recently stopped by for a little fundraiser for a friend of mine running for State Rep. Foam is the perfect blend of intimate, casual, cool, and the boozy coffee drinks are good enough to keep me coming back for more. They’ll make any standard coffee beverage, but they have a cool list of alcoholic coffee concoctions, many of them sweet and perfect for a chilly fall night. I, however, made the mistake of ordering the Irish coffee because it sounded great… but I didn’t realize it had whiskey in it. Whiskey + black coffee = not yummy in the tummy. The beer selection is stellar and I got to try a great pumpkin beer last week and I was impressed by their selection — a few on their list are Magic Hat #9, Hitachino White Ale, and O’Fallon Hemp Hop Rye. I’ve never tried any snacks there but they do have things like hummus, pretzel rolls, and other light things. Free wireless, plenty of couches, cool artwork & a friendly vibe. Give it a try and check out some of their events — tons of open mic nights and comedy!

What does beer and a perfect latte have in common? Foam. :) I was really amused by the name of this place and what it tries to do. The interior is really nice. I dragged my friend here and she said it made her think of the little coffee shop in the town where she went to college. I said I liked the feel. It was retro without being pretentious or ironic. I got a pumpkin beer on tap and my friend got a kosmonaut. They were both pretty great. I can’t say anything about their food because I didn’t have any… but the guy behind the counter was really nice and I thought their bathroom was pretty. Be careful though. When I was there, a girl walked up to the counter and informed them that there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. The guy at the counter said they don’t keep extras rolls in the bathroom because apparently people try to steal it. So take a peek at the toilet paper roll before you take a leak and you won’t regret it. :)

I must say, I’ll go back because I feel my first experience at Foam was probably an a-typical one. It was weird. It was an open mic night. Some of the talents were good, and even the bad ones were alright. I mean it’s an an open mic night. You can’t judge the place on the bad talent that pops up onstage. But then one guy who was apparently a regular who did TERRIBLE poetry started yelling at the crowd about how rude everyone was for talking during his poem and then stormed off stage threatening to kill himself. Needless to say It made everyone pretty uncomfortable. Maybe they could be a bit more selective on the people they let perform? …and the beer was over priced. PBR should not be more than $ 2.

Like another reviewer said, as a coffee shop it isn’t cosy. It’s trendy and sleek and designed for a modern feel. I appreciate that, because it’s very conducive to getting work done. Fairly good coffee. Fun selection of sodas, snacks, and of course beer. It’s in a quasi-sketch neighborhood, but I didn’t mind.

I read about Foam ~a week ago and knew I needed to investigate. Drove past earlier in the week with a friend intending to stop for a beer, but it was ½ an hour before closing and they were dead, so we went elsewhere. Stopped in for a coffee today and sat in the window reading for a bit. It must have been about 11. Business was slow but steady, and the guy making the drinks seemed to know nearly everyone who came in. That said, there was only one employee, so a line of three entailed a bit of a wait. I ordered a white chocolate mocha, kind of on impulse. It was delicious. And I drink a lot of coffee. Really excellent, and served in a substantial, thick, heat-retaining glass like the top of a Boston shaker. Cool vibe; loved the tunes they were playing and the décor is eclectic. Fun neighborhood gathering spot. I hope to make it back.

This is my new favorite study spot. I can take both my toddler and my teenager and both feel welcome. The small area in the back to play allows me to study with my little one without bothering everyone else with her noise. The coffee is the best in town and the Black Bear Bakery goodies are DELICIOUS!

Welcome to the neighborhood, Foam! This coffee shop/bar just opened up on the corner of Cherokee and Jefferson and it’s a welcome addition to the Cherokee ‘hood. It’s so great to have a new, smoke-free bar right down the street! Stopped by Foam for the first time last night and it’s beautiful inside, with a mid-century modern feel to it. Mike, the owner, is extremely personable and got us drinks right away. The beer selection right now is somewhat limited but I hear there’s talk of them brewing their own soon. Enjoyed a Schlafly IPA and a Anchor Christmas Ale — both were delish! The front room is perfect for hanging out or people watching. There is a back room area that’s great for meetings or working on your laptop. Clientele is mostly Cherokee residents for now, but I know Foam is trying to attract outsiders for meetings on weeknights and late-night action on the weekends. Can’t wait to go down there and hang out with my neighbors!
