One of those little hole in the wall bar/restaurants that amazes you. The first time we went for drinks and had their home made pretzels, they’re to die for! The second time I took my dad for the fried chicken and it was also very good! The parking lot was full and the bar was packed! The wait for food was a little long but they were busy.

I have lived close to Fergie’s for a long time, have been there for karaōke many times but never tried their food until recently. We came on a Sunday afternoon/early evening in search of their chicken as we have heard they have some of the best in the area. Our waitress was very attentive and took our orders the moment we sat down. We ordered drinks and settled in the for the football games as our order was made. The chicken came out nice and hot, along with 3 sides and my husband was in heaven. He ate every thing on his plate(while I took some home) and we do agree that their chicken is pretty darn good! If you’re a Mizzou fan, so are they so they go all out when there’s a Mizzou game on.

Hands down best fried chicken in Stl good prices and very homey atmosphere. The service is agreeable and they also do catering and parties although the parties are rather on the cheap side.

This was my first time visiting Fergie’s. I love all the Mizzou sports memorabilia! The fried chicken was excellent. The open face roast beef was OK and the mozzarella sticks are the thick ones and it hard to fry those all the way through were the cheese is almost busting out and extra hot and gooey. So I don’t recommend the cheese sticks. Overall an great neighborhood sports bar and grill.

For what this place lacks in curb appeal and decore, it more than makes up for with tasty and more than fairly priced food. The portions are enormous. We had the chicken, the burger, the ribeye sandwich and the chopped sirloin. Everything was tasty and fresh. The staff was friendly and the place seemed to be packed with regulars(a very good sign). Comfort food at it’s best. We will definitely be going back.

I stopped in at this easily overlooked bar on the recommendation of a friend & local patron. The best fried chicken she said, & «You can’t go wrong with any food you get there«she said. «Big pieces of chicken &2 Sides for 8.95 $». I couldn’t start my diet without 1st trying this place, fried chicken is one of my top favorite foods, I’ve tried it in every state. everything my friend said is true, The chicken, 4 huge pieces, fried to perfection, steaming hot, juicy, very flavorful & fresh! I just wished they had a little honey for my dipping pleasure:). It is on the salty side for those who have a issue with that:) The home cooked sides are delicious, I had mashed potatoes & macaroni, comes w rolls. it’s not a huge place, so it can get loud, but plenty of tables & I was glad too see that. Check it out if your wanting a seriously tasty hot meal & cold drink;) mmm Chicken

From the outside this place doesnt seem like much, but they have my favorite fried chicken in saint louis. You can taste that it is fresh to order. They also have cheap drinks and really good home cooked sides. I really enjoy this hole in the wall anytime I am in the mood for some homecooked food.

Making fried chicken stand out is usually a challenge, but they delivered! The chicken was extremely juicey and flavorful, and you get very large portions for the price that is paid. Two in our party enjoyed the chicken and we are still talking about it. Someone else had the ribeye sandwich which was cooked perfectly and a huge portion. My only critique of this experience would be the outrageously loud, drunks that were sitting at the bar. Since this is a small place it makes it difficult to carry on a conversation. The staff did great trying to get the drunks to keep it down. The other patrons in the bar were definitely regulars, that were all eating dinner, this is usually a great sign that the food is great. Great food… Great Sides… Casual atmosphere… a place to try if your in the area.

2 trips there. 1st time, watery spaghetti. 2nd time, overcooked(crunchy) lasagna. The bad cooking and the rude servers will make me choose to spend my dining out money elsewhere, where customers are appreciated.

Always a great place to go for an excellent fried chicken dinner and cold pitchers of beers. We’ve been going for years and the fried chicken is consistently great and we always refer folks to go there and try it out for themselves. They have burgers, wings and pizza for those that are looking for more typical bar foods. The place is nothing to look at but it is a pretty good sports bar for whatever games are on. It does get loud and I think that the cooler behind the bar needs to be replaced because it adds to the noise but it’s all part of the charm. Enjoy.

Who doesn’t love fried chicken? Fergie’s does it right… and I’m not QUITE a fried chicken expert, but I’m damn close to it :-) The crust is perfect, the white meat’s surprising juicy, every piece was tender & cooked right, and it’s a ridiculous value… a half chicken w/2 sides for like $ 8…just another reason to love Fergie’s.

Love to go here for the fried chicken dinner. The best place for fried chicken this side of River Des Pere! Other reviewer commented on it being smoky. Well, they are smoke free now so don’t let that scare you away. They have a large«regular«crowd that fills in game nights to watch the games and drink cold beers. So if you want dinner try a different night. If you want beer and sports TV, any night it cant be beat.

Knotty pine walls and vintage sports clippings dictate the overall feel at this south county tavern. For us regulars, it’s an institution and the ONLY place to watch a Mizzou game, unless you’re at the game live. The owner is a die-hard tiger enthusiast, so don’t look for him if there’s a home game. Of course the beer is great, but the food is equally good. Only a couple of stinkers on the menu. The Fergie’s wings are a deep-fried favorite with the runner up being the Deluxe cheeseburger(½ lb, bacon, cheese… ask for wing sauce for dipping and you’ll be in heaven. The pizza is a pretty good resentation of St. Louis style. Try the pizza and pitcher special. One downside only: it can get smoky. For this reason, we usually try to get there early for Saturday lunch or an off-evening. The place was packed for Sat. night karaōke the two times I went. If you’re into the St. Louis local tavern vibe, be sure and check it out. I don’t know of a better neighborhood joint.
