Real Jersey pizza in SOCO. This place is good. A kinda dive pizza joint(but aren’t those the best kind). This isn’t typical chain pizza. This is the real deal. Nice sauce, crust almost burned but perfect. If you need a break from McPizza places this is the place to go.

Had Feraros for the first time tonight and loved it. We ordered The Boss, a 9-inch 1 topping, and garlic knots. Service was ok, but I carried out so it was a short simple interaction. Best pizza in St. Louis, for those of us who don’t care for St. Louis style pizza! Highly recommend.

This is our new favorite pizza place! My husband and I have lived in SOCO for the last three years and are kicking ourselves for not stopping in sooner. The pizza is great and the wings are killer. Definitely worth a stop!

Food was good, but service was mediocre. I called from St. Anthony’s Medical Center less than 2 miles from Feraros, I asked if they would deliver to the main hospital valet area where I would be waiting, this guy taking my order over the phone insisted on an address before he could deliver because he did not know where the place was! Seriously! Your that glued to your navigation that you have no sense of direction!!! It’s 2 miles away and you cannot tell me you have never delivered to this hospital?! Rant over, but the pizza was good.

Went off the great reviews on Unilocal and wasn’t let down. The pizza was delicious, by far the best pizza We’ve had in a long time, the garlic knots are a must. Totally worth the 45min wait. It is worth calling in your order and picking it up!

Awesome pizza! The pizza is spot on Jersey style, takes me back to the summer spent in Ocean City NJ! If you don’t get the garlic knots you are only hurting yourself. I’m more than willing to drive past the six other pizza places on tesson ferry just to get some of this!

My Grandson says it’s the best pizza place ever, because the people there are always so nice to him. I love their pizza, so we go there often.

Wow! We have finally found a truly great, classic-style pizza in St Louis. Feraro’s is a small pizza parlor in a shopping strip. I had read reviews on Unilocal and got pulled in by the mention of garlic knots. There was a chain in Miami way back in the 70’s called Parenti’s that had the best garlic knots ever. We have been trying to find something like them since moving here in 1979. The chance to try Feraro’s came today. We decided to order A LOT of food to takeout. The in-store ordering process was quick and easy. We waited for a very reasonable 15 minutes for our medium sausage/onion pizza, large house salad with house dressing, 2 orders of spaghetti with meatballs, and garlic knots. The same man that took our order, prepped, cooked, and packaged everything. He was wonderful. And very pleasant. The order was filled perfectly. The sausage/onion pizza was so good! The crust is thin to medium in thickness. It was the perfect foundation. The sauce was well cooked and not over loaded. The sausage was finely crumbled, just the way it should be(according to us!). The taste of the sausage was classic Chicago seasoning. Overall this is The Best pizza we have had in 20+ years. That is not an exaggeration. The house salad consisted of nice greens, cherry tomato, black olives, cheese, croutons and a vinaigrette dressing. Everyone loved it, but I admit to liking Imo’s dressing a little better. The pasta was also great. At first it looked like there was not enough sauce, but sauce had been layered on the bottom and top of the pasta, so once you dug in, it too was just about perfect! Tasty meatballs, very firm and without a lot of filler! Now, those garlic knots… YUM. They are smothered in garlic, olive oil and parmesan. Here is my suggestion. Dump them and all their oily goodness into a plastic bag and seal tightly. Let them marinate for a while, shaking them to mix well. They get better when they are spongy. Enjoy! We have named Feraro’s OUR pizza parlor!

Love the pizza. On the expensive side because they use fresh ingredients. On my opinion best pizza in South County. Worth every penny.

I was very impressed with this small pizza parlor. This weekend I was going to catch a movie at Ronnie’s Cine with a friend and wanted to grab a quick bite beforehand. I got on Unilocal and found Ferraro’s which sounded like a good option for a relatively quick meal. I have nothing but good things to say about the whole encounter. The staff was immediately attentive and friendly. When I told the man taking our order, who I believe was the manager, that we were trying to make it to a movie which started in about 20 minutes, he assured us that he would have the pizza ready in 12 minutes. When our small pepperoni pizza arrived(not sure if it was 12 minutes, but it was quick) it was delicious. Everything was baked to perfection. It was so good that I had to resist the urge too quickly for fear of burning the roof of my mouth! I would recommend Feraros to anyone who likes a good thin crust pizza. I will definitely be back. Oh, and the price was great, too. Look for the lunch special!

I was in the mood for pizza and something I’ve never tried before, so I decided to give Feraros a shot. I love NY style pizza, almost as much as Chicago style. When I walked in I immediately fell in love with the tininess of the joint. I know that might be a weird thing to like about a restaurant, but it felt like a real family owned pizza joint you’d find in NY. I walked up to the counter to place my order and a guy asked me what he could get me. I was going to start a conversation about how it was my first time there, but he seemed rough and grumpy. I limited conversation. I ordered a 10 inch pepperoni pizza and 2 meatball sliders. My fiancé ordered a slice of bacon pizza and a small salad. The pros are as follows: reasonably priced specials, the meatball sliders were excellent, food came up very fast, and my fiancé’s pizza slice was huge and delicious. The cons: The one guy working the place was quiet and seemed grouchy, they don’t have a soda fountain so everything is in bottles, which is $ 2 a piece, my 10 inch pizza lacked in taste of my fiancé’s slice. It almost tasted similar to a frozen pepperoni pizza. So if you go, I’d recommend getting pizza by the slice, and limiting conversation. Also, stop at a gas station and bring a soda. Other than that, it’s a great place to get a slice of pizza and maybe some other appetizers and such. Oh and there is only 2 tables so I wouldn’t bring a group!

I think Ferraro’s the best pizza in South County. On top of that, you can actually buy by the slice! It’s only a few tables but it’s typically empty inside. The garlic knots are a great addition to any pizza here.

Sauce is pretty weak on flavor and the crust is a little too soft. If you want a similar style but better all around pie check out bommaritos in affton

We got two pizzas a salad wings and cannolis everything was amazing! One pizza would have been more than enough for my family of four. We got the honey mustard wings on a tip from another Unilocaler and they were delicious and huge. The only reason I gave them a four was because the guy on the phone was rude which in most cases would cause me to never go back but their saving grace was the fact that my wife said the guy who served her was very nice. Food was so good we will go back.

Um, St. Louis doesn’t have horrible pizza. There, I said it. My friends and I awoke in our hotel room on Sunday hungover like woah. The kind where the thought of leaving bed was unheard. We call Feraros at 9:30AM. They were like um yeah we deliver but we don’t open ’till 11. My response. Fine, but, can I just order now so we are the first? Wow. The delivery was fast. The pizza was pretty good. The large was large and in charge and the sausage on it was of the crumbly kind with thinly sliced green peppers. The pizza crust was somewhere between thick and thin, so, we’ll go with medium. It wasn’t as greasy as I expected either, which in this case wasn’t a good thing(just kidding). I kind of liken it to a high class Domino’s pizza. Better ingredients and quality then Domino’s but just reminded me of their style of pizza. We also ordered a Caesar salad which I enjoyed thoroughly and an order of wings — my friend ordered with honey mustard. She loved ‘em. They were super meaty. If I was in the ‘hood, I definitely order again!

I recently tried Feraro’s for the first time recently. I intentionally ordered too much food so I could try a couple different things. I got a slice of sausage pizza and a meatball sandwich with cheese. The slice of pizza not very big and it was WAY overcooked. only the very center of the slice of pizza had cheese the wasn’t brown, and on the verge of being black. When a pizza is overcooked like that cheese doesn’t even taste like cheese. There was not much sauce on the pizza either. The meatballs on the sandwhich were… surprise… overcooked! Not entirely though, just the bottom of all of them, so I just avoided that portion of them. If they hadn’t overcooked the meatballs I think this sandwich probably would have been pretty decent. I will not be going back to Feraro’s.

Damn their flimsy boxes. Damn them straight to hell. I have a moral obligation to up Feraro’s to 5 stars. You know why? Because I went and picked up a pizza last night with my 18 month old son. Since I was carrying my son and the pizza had just come out of the oven, the friendly guy working there insisted on bringing the pizza out to my car because he said the bottom was hot and I would get burned. How lovely! So we drive home and the pizza smells wonderful. I get home and am trying to juggle the pizza and my son through the gate and… FAWK! Half the pizza slides out of the flimsy box onto the ground. You know how you know a pizza is good? If losing half of it makes a person HOWL. I howled. I howled like no one has ever howled before. Werewolves everywhere ran into the nearest churches for sanctuary. Banshees checked on the well-being of their own loved ones. I walked inside, defeated. The 5 second rule simply cannot apply when it falls on the ground outside where my dogs poop. So, yeah. 5 stars. Still, damn their flimsy boxes to hell.

We tried our first Feraros pizza the other night. They currently have a 2-topping large pizza for $ 15. This is an awesome deal. The pizza is very good as well. The first bite will tell you they use quality ingredients. I’m not sure I understand fully why this is a distinct style separate from, say New York. It’s good stuff, though, and that’s all that matters. They have a couple of tables, which were being used by people waiting for carry-out, so I wouldn’t plan on dining in. The guy manning the register is apparently from NJ as he made a comment to some kids about it. Seems like a nice guy. Maybe a reformed accountant. I’m glad they seem to be doing a pretty good business, despite their low key, almost black and white sign. They have a tip jar on the counter, and when I paid by Visa, there was a place to add a tip. I didn’t. Tipping for carryout pizza? Must be a Jersey thing. Either that, or I’m a cheapass — a very real possibility. Bottom line: If you’re not a St. Louis style pizza fan, you’ll probably like this one. Give it a try if you live in South County. Not sure I’d go way out of my way for it, though.
