Like the other reviewers I bought the cheap Groupon. I actually spoke and booked an appointment with the receptionist right away. Two problems; 1: had to book three weeks out for the Mani/pedi combo, 2: one week before the appointment I received an email stating my appointment had been canceled. I also received a follow up phone call saying that my Groupon was no longer going to be redeemed! I was told by the receptionist to call Groupon and have them refund my purchase. This is not how Groupon would like this to work so they contacted the vendor on my behalf. I convinced Groupon that even though I may get my appointment back that it would not be a relaxing experience that I was hoping for and please refund the Groupon. Thankfully I did receive a partial refund from Groupon. I would think Face Enhancement would use Groupon to increase there customer base not just try to make a quick buck… but I would advise against this business and I have never even walked in the front door! :)

DONOTMAKEANAPPOINTMENT. THEYARECLOSED, BUTSTILLTAKINGAPPOINTMENTSONLINE. TOTALRIPOFF. After using a Groupon, I prepaid for my next manicure. It was a small, humble business, but the technician, Shanay Williams, did a good job. I booked my manicure for Thanksgiving weekend and she called to say that she was sick and needed to reschedule. Fine. I rescheduled for Sat., Dec. 13 at 3 pm through their online appointment booker, and when I showed up the BUSINESSHADDISAPPEARED. The office space they occupied is EMPTY. I know I’m out the $ 25 that I paid for the manicure, and I wasn’t able to get my nails done for an important event. I’m going to keep my eyes peeled for Shanay Williams and AVOID her business ventures in the future. How disappointing. They should have stopped taking appointments if their business was closing, and they should have called me! I am furious!

I was given a groupon as a gift for here. Terrible. The pedicure is a tub you put your feet in. It felt ok but your sitting at the level of the tub and not above like a normal pedicure chair. The manicure was ok. The employee, there was just one, was overworked and stressed and expressed how annoyed she was with the owner and the groupon situation which made me feel uncomfortable.

I went to Face Enhancements after buying a Groupon for a spa Mani/pedi. Bailey was very nice, and I liked the way my pedicure turned out. However, the salon isn’t really a spa; it’s an upstairs apartment that has been converted. The foot and hand baths are filled in a different room and brought into the main salon area. Also, my pedicure looks fine, but they had a very limited selection on polishes and I’m going to have to redo my Mani at home. I smeared a couple of nails at the salon and Bailey was nice enough to redo them for me before I left, but all of my fingernails are bubbling and look worse than when I do them myself. The two stars are for the pedicure and Bailey’s patience with my clumsiness. Otherwise, I would not return to or recommend Face Enhancements.

I used a groupon for a Mani/pedi and I won’t be going back. I thought the place was hard to find and didn’t look like a spa at all, the bathroom was dirty, and it was really hard to get in for an appointment. Won’t be going back no matter how cheap a groupon is.

Unprofessional, unhelpful, bad attitudes! From the very first phone call to make the appointment: the woman answering practically started arguing with me over days of the week! Poor attitude. Then I thought, go to the session anyway, maybe it will be fine. NOPE! Couldn’t find the place because they have zero signage. So I called to get directions/help. I was right there across the street. She had such a ridiculous, convoluted way of explaining it…“it’s part of Hanks Cheesecakes. Park in their lot and it’s around the other side”. No… NOT part of Hanks cheesecakes. I walked around the entire building and called again from the sidewalk. She goes, «I see you! Are you wearing… x ?» She STILL couldn’t explain where the freak the door was when I was standing right freaking there!!! She could have said: walk toward Clayton Rd & it’s 2 doors down. She could have told me before this moment it was UPSTAIRS in the building NEXT to Hanks. I was so upset. Do you want business? You need to be friendly and helpful to every single person. PERIOD. Oh, and figure out how to give basic directions. My assessment: NOTWORTHIT!

I used a Groupon a few months back and was extremely dissatisfied. I could never get anyone one the phone or a returned phone call when I left a message. There were hardly any appointments available except during the week. The first appointment I made I was late for because I could not find it. I called several times and left messages and never heard back. I finally found it but I was 20 minutes late. The woman inside basically told me to «too bad, you have to make another appointment.» I did but I wish I hadn’t. It was one of the worst pedicures I have ever had. I took off the polish later that day and had to redo it myself. And it actually looked better. The manicure wasn’t much better. It was my first shellac and I was disappointed in that, as well. All she did was file my nails and then put the polish on. No soaking, cuticle trimming etc etc that comes standard with any manicure. I had to go to Beautiful Nails on Big Bend the next day and have them take it off and do a new manicure. It looked perfect! They are the best. I was planning on canceling my 2nd appointment that I had paid for through Groupon but before I could, they communicated through email that I had cancelled it. What?!? Then I got another email telling me that the nail tech had cancelled it. Maybe they do other spa services well but in would never ever go back there for nails. They should stop doing Groupons because they do not know what they’re doing or how to deal with customers. Overall terrible experience.

I recently used a groupon for a shellac mani/pedi at Face Enhancements(also known as Pure Elegance Spa). While I found the employees to be friendly enough, I didn’t find the area where the mani/pedi was done to be very«salon» like. I was also unhappy with how long the process took… at the time of my appointment, there was only one nail technician on staff(not her fault), but she had to finish the client before she could work on me. My pedicure wasn’t up to the same standards of other pedicures I’ve had; the polish was uneven and my feet still felt a little rough afterwards. I ended up taking my manicure off later that day– the shellac bubbled up and edges shrank. Unfortunately, I felt that my time and money was not well spent and wouldn’t recommend it(as-is) to anyone else.

Groupon Mani/Padi experience I got this groupon months ago, left messages on the machine and always that called back I’ve got the machine, so I emailed them, Nothing. Finally they added that feature that let you do it online and(3 months later) I’ve got the appt. This review is about Mani/pedi they sold through Groupon 1-Personnel does not look professional. 2-THEY CHARGE $ 10TOREMOVETHESELLACYOUHAVEONYOURNAILS at the moment of the appt, they do not warn you about this extra charge. So add $ 10 to the groupon. 3-Mani is done dry, so do not expect a serious manicure job here, no cutting cuticles, unless those are sticking out. 4-Expect bumps of gel on every nail. It won’t be an even layer or shellac, and parts of your nails will end up looking really thick. I think if I had the Gel set to do it at home, i would’ve got results alot better than this job, really poor. Pedicure is done really quick basically just a scrub and paint your toe-nails. No cutting, filing or shaping them. So if you are use to receive a professional treatment DONOTDOMANI/PEDI at this Spa, I end up getting my mani done at my regular salon 4 days after. My shellac started chipping the day after it was donde, I couldn’t believe it, That never happened to me before. Again my review it’s just on this service, maybe they are great on everything else.
