Oh, yes. Cheapest local groceries in town. Everybody says they care about small businesses, and this is a great place to support them. City Greens is little, but I do just about all my grocery shopping here. Most of the employees are volunteers, and everyone is very friendly. They carry great eggs from local farms, Ozark mountain dairy, and good seasonal produce. There’s even a free«ugly» food shelf for stuff that’s nearly expired(and they sometimes refuse to let me pay for things they think are past prime even when I insist). You should skip the supermarket chain store and check out City Greens.

FYI, you can now park in the lot a couple doors down(on the same side of the street to the East.) Bring your own bags, or they will provide bags for a small fee.

Actually amazing. Fresh largely local foods with a sliding scale membership for prices — membership is free for households with annual income under $ 30k, and $ 180/year for over $ 30k. If you don’t have a membership, you can still shop here, the prices are just marked up 30%. Either way the food is great and accessibly priced, e.g., $ 1 for a bag of dried Missouri wheat berries, or $ 1.30 without a membership. The employees are friendly and helpful, and there are recipe cards around that you can take home(all matched to the ingredients available)!
