Chatfields Bridal Boutique

I was specifically looking for a lace dress with some kind of sleeves for my September wedding. After visiting one dress shop that didn’t have many styles with sleeves (Blossoms Bridal in Ellisville) I googled something like «unique wedding dress shop STL» and found an article listing Chatfields.
I called, Debbie answered and luckily for me she told me to come on over that day!
Chatfields is located right off Hwy. 44 in Valley Park. The shop is clean and well-​organized. Debbie started by asking me about myself («Why do you want a modest dress?» etc.) to find out what I was looking for. I told her what I liked and she pulled dresses in that style for me to try on. She even asked if I wanted her assistance in the fitting room to respect my privacy. She is VERY professional and thoughtful.
After trying on a few dresses I found the one! She only had the dress in a knee length version in two sample sizes – one that was too large and one that was too small – so I tried on both to get a good idea of how it would look. She put some beaded belts on me so I could see the finished look, which looked great. In the end she was able to order the knee length dress and just add 13″ of lace to the bottom of the dress to make it floor length, which was perfect.
The price was excellent (I believe all her dresses are under $ 1000?). We ordered the dress on the spot (half down at purchase, half at pick up) and she was very helpful about when it would arrive.

This is THE place to go for modest a modest wedding or prom dress! Debbie is so very personable, helpful, and sweet! ALL the dresses are modest, she has a great selection, and none of the dresses are over $ 1000! PERFECTION! I was so worried that it would be hard to find a beautiful wedding dress with sleeves but my worries were for naught! Debbie helped me find the perfect dress and I am so glad I went to Chatfields to find it! Look no further for a modest dress ladies!

For what ever reason you would want a gown with more coverage this is the place to go in the midwest. Drove from Indiana about 4 ½ hrs. It was totally worth 5he drive. Debbie has a large selection of gowns with many degrees of coverage but all were beautiful. You won’t regret going.

I am the mother of the bride. CHATFIELD’S was WONDERFUL. Debbie the owner was spot on with finding the dress my daughter wanted. She has a variety of dresses. Many that can be taken right from the rack if the wedding in a short time. The gowns are well priced. When my daughter announced her engagement she was still in college and very busy. I immediately started to google modest wedding dresses and shops. Not very much came up. My daughter thought she would be able to find a modest dress like she wanted at local bridal shops. After visiting several and seeing that mainstream dresses did not meet with her modest expectation I talked her into going to a Bridal shop called Chatfield’s in St. Louis. We live around Indianapolis so we made a weekend family vacation out of the trip. I thought if all else fails we at least have the vacation. We not only got a great family vacation but a modest wedding gown. I only have good things to say about Chatfield’s and Debbie.

Wow! Debbie (the owner) is awesome!!! After a horrible experience at another dress shop, we decided we would make the drive to st. Louis from Lexington. So glad that we did!!! An amazing selection of dresses, Debbie is an awesome help and quite hilarious also. We tried on a load of dresses (or rather, I did), ordered the ONE and we were told the dress should be in shop in two weeks. Much to our delight, the dress came in a week ahead of time.
Debbie also has a load of veils that are very reasonably priced and made by local stay @ home mums. Yay, local biz! Also, I should say that her dresses are all very reasonably priced
I really can’t say enough about how awesome Chatfields is. Go there!
Oh, and I nearly forgot, she even came in on Sunday after church for us to look at dresses!

Debbie (the owner) is amazing!
Yesterday I went to Chatfields Boutique at 2149 Barrett Station Road on a whim. I met with Debbie, the owner and she was SO nice. Even thought I didnt have an appointment she helped me try on several dresses and gave me feedback. NO pressure, she is so nice! I fell in love with one dress and ended up going back and buying it this morning (again, without an appointment).
I higly recommend this shop to anyone looking for wedding, bridesmade, MOB or other special occasion dress.
The dressing rooms are big and have doors (instead of curtains) and they have a good selection.
She specializes in «modest» wedding gowns but has something for everyone.
